Guyanese Mix for when you don't want to decide
    Cin C.

Hakka food has always been known for their huge portions, and Encore Hakka does not disappoint. We ordered two noodle dishes and ended up with enough food for two meals! Their menu is extensive and seems to go on forever in choices. If you can't decide, I would recommend the Guyanese Mix which comes with everything. It has noodles mixed with fried rice (double carbs!) along with chicken, beef and shrimp. If that is not enough, it is topped with 4 deep fried chicken wings and a chicken leg. A lot for a great price. Even though we ordered delivery, the food came so quickly that it was still piping hot! Would recommend for those looking for a carb overload.

Maybe I should change my handle to "Hakka Pete" or "HAKunnaMaHakka"... "WannaHakkaLoogy"...uhm maybe not that one! :D Hakka Bros is no more and in place is Encore Hakka Restaurant. Almost sounds like the Bros are taking a second run at it. The interior looks unchanged from the predecessor. While Bros had a couple guys up front, Encore has a couple gals. Maybe this should be Hakka Sis...no??...too corny???...really??? Not my best material??? Too bad. This is my review and I'll write what I want to! :) Well, since this is my first time at this establishment, I must order my standard menu item to establish the baseline. Chilli Chiken w/gravy on rice with a bowl of soup. The Cream Corn Soup was filled to the rim and was quite tasty. Maybe a little on the salty side - overall nice. The Chilli Chicken packed a whollop of heat! If you don't like it too spicy, perhaps Hakka ain't for you! LOL! All kidding aside, ask for the food to be turn down a bit as their regular offering was a nice kick to the taste bud - which I like. The morsels were golden brown and the batter was still crispy under the gravy. You know it was served hot, right off the wok. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked their food. Will be my go to Hakka place in this area with my new client engagement. Cheers!!!

Ordered some take out there for a single person. Had enough food for 2 days. Food was outstanding and portions were great.

Pastable - Opening Special ($6.99): Mac N Cheese with BBQ Chicken and drink

This is their second location, in a build with 3 other food vendors. It is mostly a takeout restaurant. There is a small counter where you could stand and eat. There are six set combinations. Or you can build your own pasta (BYOP) combo. On the soft-opening day (2025-01-20), they were offering an opening special of Mac N Cheese with BBQ Chicken sample and a drink for only $6.99. I ordered the following: 1. BYOP: Garlic Shrimp, penne, rose sauce, broccoli, black olives, mushrooms. It automatically comes with sliced green peppers and chopped parsley. 2. Opening Special ($6.99) x 2. For the BYOP, they didn't warn me it was medium spicy. I can handle it with a cold drink! The shrimp and penne were perfectly cooked. I loved the rose sauce. My choices of broccoli,  black olives, and mushrooms worked well together and with the base. The Opening Special was delicious; the Mac n Cheese part and BBQ Chicken were really good! Unfortunately, the BBQ was mildly spicy, and my son didn't like it; more for me! The customer service was good. It took them a long time to prepare the food (there were many orders prior to mine). But it was opening day, so hopefully, they will speed up their cooking. There is no free WiFi. The food stall is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There are no customer washrooms. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-014

Similarly while I would not consider this quite a fusion restaurant, the food was indeed delicious! Most of the rice sides, had furikake sprinkled on top which always enhances the flavor. The sushi selection was good! The top items for me were the cod and lobster/shrimp udon. Again neither were quite executed as fusion (IMO) but nonetheless it was delicious! The steak was also good, but steak is more readily available on most menus elsewhere. The potato and egg salad as an app also made the top list. It was super creamy and paired nicely with the crunchy chips! The endless drink menu/option is also excellent, except I am not sure how much alcohol was actually in there because within the group of 13 people, most of us did not feel even slightly tipsy. The ambiance is beautiful and really embraces a jungle with vibrant colors intertwined into the interior. the bathroom however, is a different story as it is at the end of a very dark hallway. Not sure if they turn the lights on at night, but for someone with poor vision, it was hard to see as the light reflected off the walls. The servers were friendly and with a large group like ours, we did have some dishes that just never made it out so we did need to flag someone down for them about an hour or so in.
