Appetizers, that I lightly grazed before leaving the restaurant in a huff because they refused to serve me tap water. Read my review.

Visited last night. I'd been here before and the food was delicious. This time I didn't really get to the food. I'd ordered my selection, and I would have preferred a beer to accompany my meal, but they don't serve beer. OK, fine, I'll simply have water. When the waitress started bringing the included appetizers, she brought a glass, and a plastic bottle of water. "I didn't order that" I said. "You ordered water" she replied. "Yeah, tap water." "We don't serve tap water." I was getting upset. The prices at this restaurant are not cheap (typical meat dish is around $37). And here they are wanting to chisel me for more more money? I considered taking the glass to the washroom and filling it with tap water, but decided against that. I've come to expect water and refills from my wait person. I thought: I'm being ridiculous. I should just enjoy the meal. I started eating the bread and appetizers. But, no, it was really bothering me. I put some money on the table ($10 in change. I didn't have small bills.), got up and told the waitress I was leaving. She asked me to wait while she told her chef about this. He was sitting at a table near the door, doing something with his phone. She explained to him I was leaving. I added that it was because of the water, that it was a "slap in the face"; and walked out the door. He barely looked up from his phone. I'm sorry I left so much. They've lost a customer. I'm never returning there. They didn't even offer glass bottles of water. The plastic is single use, so it fills the landfills. And there are health concerns with microplastics. Insane. When I told my wife about the no tap water thing, she said "I hope you didn't stay!" Which was a relief because I thought maybe I'd overreacted. What do you think? Update: read other one-star reviews, and several other people have been offended by the no tap water policy. Also, poor and rude service. Should also mention that with the restaurant located at a busy intersection, and next to a gas station, with a "patio", the ambiance is pretty awful.

The warmth and politeness of the staff in this Turkish restaurant added a pleasant touch to our dining experience. To start, they served us salad and cucumber yogurt with food plus freshly baked bread. Also, we had the pistachio rolls which are perfect for their creamy Turkish coffee! I recommend getting the Bingol Mix Kebab, you will taste some of their famous meat in this platter! The lamb chops are my personal favourite! Featured Bingol Mix Kebab (Lamb Chops, Beef Shish, Meatballs, Chicken Shish, Chicken Pirzola, Bulgur, Roasted Peppers and Tomatoes, Onion with Sumac, Small Lahmacun and Lavas Bread) Pistachio Rolls Turkish Coffee Location 6255 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON

Food: 4/5 Great portions and very well balanced flavors. Love the ezme here, which is a little sweeter than I'm used to but so so refreshing and paired well with everything. The beyti was good but nothing extraordinary and had a smaller portion than the rest of the dishes. If you like a light creamy flavor then the beyti and yogurt kebab might be a good choice for you, but I personally found it nothing special. Personal favorites were by far the Antayka kebab and the Lamb Shish. For the savoury food lovers out there, these are for you! Came with a bit of everything and overall well seasoned and delicious. Dessert: baklava was exactly what you would expect from a Turkish restaurant. Nothing extraordinary but always a great finish to the meal! Cold baklava was my personal favorite. Overall taste was fantastic and mostly great portions for the price (roughly 30$ per dish) Service: 5/5 very fast and friendly service. We were served by multiple people who were all so kind and efficient. It was never hard to ask for something as there were always people running around. Fantastic team! Atmosphere: 3/5 plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Cute spot overall but definitely very warm and humid during the summer. It would've been nice to have better ventilation or AC.

It was an amazing experience, few points i should highlight: 1) better to have reservation in advance, unfortunately they won't accept reservation for two people but to prevent waiting in queue for more than two people do the reservation. 2) The food's portions are huge and one food is suitable for two people already

Good ambiance. Nice decor with some little details on their stone oven and flooring. Food is actually delicious , even for someone who tried Turkish food for the first time. Servers were very friendly and know their menu well. My taste bud like the food. The food portion may look light, but don't be fooled by the picture. I left with full stomach and satisfaction. We actually ordered chicken Shish and grilled meatball. But missed the photo for grilled meatball. In sum, both dishes are good. They are both full of flavour but still makes your refreshing after eating. Appetizers are also a must try. Overall, I recommand the restaurant.

The staff are great, the taste & quality of the food is really amazing, and the environment of koz Bingol is so friendly.

The I Heart Butter Tart Concrete ($6.49) that I ordered was a little too much for myself. I did decide to go through and finish the ice cream / sundae just so I don't have anything to go. The interior of the place was properly though out and well designed. Self order stations are available to order from and the ordering interface is one of the better systems I have seen. When I dined in early afternoon on a weekday it was a rather slow day. There were a couple of Shake Shack employees constantly roaming about the premises ready to attend to any customer request. 1 such employee was thoughtful enough to serve me and a group of other customers some water. I have mixed feelings about the bathroom setup. Yes, it is clean and there were a few toilet rooms available, but it requires a code to be entered prior to using. The door screen shows as vacant but an employee still needs to give out the 4 digit code needed to access the toilets. I also found some issues with the water faucet sensors. It is inconsistently picking up my gestures resulting in an unreliable and unsteady flow of running water when I was washing my hands.

Pad See Ew had great flavor, not too oily or salty, and had great quality of beef. Chicken pad Thai had balances sweet, sour, and savory notes. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5…read moreAmbiance: 4/5 Food: We had our office holiday dinner here and 15 people attended. We did a set menu which had 3 courses. The first course was Labneh with bread, hummus, & beef tartare. Second course was Lamb pide & pear salad. Third course was grilled branzino, middle eastern fried chicken, black truffle rice, and thrice cooked fries. Then there was dessert which was chocolate mousse cake & baklava. Because of my many food allergies the main server for our table was very attentive & specific in asking me what I wanted as modifications. For example I got a wagyu beef pide instead of the lamb. Every dish was really delicious, presented well & quite filling. I couldn't eat all of the food. Though I tried almost everything. Service: The pacing of the dishes was quite masterful. They really paid attention to when the food was going to come out. As I mentioned above the main server was very attentive to my food allergies. I really appreciated that as some restaurants aren't as attentive. The food was served family style so everyone could take what they wanted from the serving dishes. The dishes were served in little bowls along the tables with each bowl serving about 4 people. We had asked for one long table so it was a little snug. But we made it work. Ambiance: For dinner the lighting of the space is really dim. LOL. I would have appreciated just a little bit more light. The restaurant is in an old building so to use the washroom you had to go down two flights of stairs. The dining area is small also. But it's a pretty space. As mentioned above we asked for one long table to seat 15 people. I was expecting square tables but it was a bunch of small round tables pushed together. So the tables were really crowded with food from all the dishes. But the servers made sure to take empty serving dishes away as soon as possible. The music was a little loud for me so I had to yell to be heard. The place was packed though. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, the service & atmosphere. The restaurant is close to Roy Thompson Hall & the other theatres nearby so it's a convenient location as well. It's too bad this place is only open for dinner. I would have loved to see how they would operate a lunch time service. In any case, Byblos was amazing. I would come back here again to try other dishes! Note: Some of my pics of the main dishes didn't turn out so it's mostly desserts that are pictures

I ordered the following: 1. BYOP: Garlic Shrimp, penne, rose sauce, broccoli, black olives, mushrooms. It automatically comes with sliced green peppers and chopped parsley. 2. Opening Special ($6.99) x 2. For the BYOP, they didn't warn me it was medium spicy. I can handle it with a cold drink! The shrimp and penne were perfectly cooked. I loved the rose sauce. My choices of broccoli,  black olives, and mushrooms worked well together and with the base. The Opening Special was delicious; the Mac n Cheese part and BBQ Chicken were really good! Unfortunately, the BBQ was mildly spicy, and my son didn't like it; more for me! The customer service was good. It took them a long time to prepare the food (there were many orders prior to mine). But it was opening day, so hopefully, they will speed up their cooking. There is no free WiFi. The food stall is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There are no customer washrooms. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-014

For the fixed menu, it came with miso soup, we got the shishito peppers, tako yaki (this was really good, wasn't expecting the inside filling to be so flavourful), chicken and waffles, steak and eggs. Everything was tasty! The dessert however was the highlight, taro ice cream was really good, the yuzu sorbet was very refreshing. Onto the vegetarian menu, the lychee ceviche was something we have never tasted before, this was sparingly really delicious. The Nasu miso (eggplant with apricot) was also a pairing we didn't expect to be as tasty as it was. Experience: During the duration of the brunch, hands on exotic was present with birds.
