The guy who worked the register didn't even acknowledge my groups presence at all because he was too focused watching the tv behind the counter. Ok, fine, I'll live. I finally had to tell him we were ready to order. Then they didn't have one of the items we ordered so we had to sub after we had already paid. Again, annoying but not the end of the world. I could've overlooked all that if the food was good, but it wasn't. My tacos were ok, nothing special. The tortilla isn't authentic Mexican at all. If you've had a real tortilla, you know what I mean. It ruined the tacos and to make it worse, it was cold. Tortillas weren't even warmed up like they're supposed to be. The other food ordered by my group were met with the same consensus: bland. I swear, Taco Bell tastes better. This place sucks. We visited it shortly after it opened and ordered several things off the menu. Unfortunately they all tasted the same and it was not good. We have never gone back. Today, I hear this man, Robert who identified himself as the owner, is talking crap about my daughter to her coworkers that went in there for lunch. My understanding is that this "owner" was let go from a previous job for putting his hands on my daughter. Her coworkers took the incident to their boss, who then called my daughter into his office and questioned her about what occured. This "owner" then sued the company for unlawful firing and they settled as it would cost them more money to fight it, which is not unusual for companies. This happened several years ago. Clearly this man, Robert has learned nothing and takes no accountability for his actions, rather continues to blame the victim. He is very lucky that she did not press charges for assault. Again, the food was terrible so we had no intentions of ever going back. Now knowing who supposedly ownes it, seals that decision. I will not support a persons company that has no respect for a woman and feels he has the right to lay a hand on them. I hope others feel the same. read more

I tried the Barbacoa (deep, tasty, limey), Carnitas (crispy and traditional with pickled onions and Jalapeños), and Sweet n Smokey (chicken with honey and lime, Esquites sauce and onions caramelized in Mexican Coke). All there were good, but the Barbacoa was the best. I could eat a taco of the Coke Onions though. My wife had the Quesadilla with Honey, lime chicken. I would love to try more of this place. Yum. Why it's so hard to get non-fast-food after 9pm in the "land of the midnight sun" we all like to brag about...I will never know. This is one of the few options. 2) Hip atmosphere. They've got beer on tap now! Good beer, inventive beer! But, if you're into lame corporate beer posing as craft beer, they also have 10 Barrell. 3) Great food: same as it ever was. 4) Fun outdoor area. It's tiny but it's cute and it's a great place to catch up with a friend! 5) Doordash: they are doordash, and they are frequently open for delivery and they deliver FAST. Keep up the good work El Jefe! A few things that have changed for the worse though: 1) Hot sauces are more generic and less spicy. This is a small and unassuming taco joint right across from the Crowne Plaza hotel where my family and I were staying for the night. We didn't really have much of a lunch so decided to grab a few tacos in the late afternoon to hold us over until dinner. We ordered 3 tacos (barbacoa beef, honey lime chicken, and breakfast taco) and had to wait maybe 10ish minutes for our food to be ready. Out of these 3, my favorite had to be the breakfast taco which just seemed to have a bit more flavor than the other two. The barbacoa was also okay but I felt like the honey lime chicken lacked in terms of flavor. My biggest gripe is that I had asked for corn tortillas and they gave us flour tortillas instead. The girl who took my order was nice. You have to order at the bar and they will bring you your food. I, however, ordered take out. Not a big area where you can wait so I stepped back out in the hall to not be in the way. 3 flour tacos (Beef Barbacoa, Honey Like Chicken & Sweet and Smokey) for $13. They also have a 9-taco pack for $35, if you're feeling hungry. My favorite is the Sweet and Smokey. I wish the beef barbacoa was juicier. Chips & Guac ($7) - chips were nice and crispy. The guac was really good and creamy. The Salsa was ok. Ordered an extra 2oz salsa verde ($2) which tasted pretty good. Sweet corn was good. It's my first time trying so I can't compare. Very friendly service and food came out quickly. Chips and guacamole: Honestly disappointing and the reason I give 4 stars instead of 5. The chips were a bit stale and the guacamole tasted like something you could find at a grocery store. Good price for the portion size. Easily shareable. Tacos: I got three tacos - spicy pork carnitas (my favorite of the three) plus two tacos from their secret menu which I will not share since it's, you know, secret. All tacos were flavorful and fresh. Spicy pork carnitas wasn't very spicy in my opinion but still tasty. If you want more heat, they have a good selection of hot sauces available.
