Haven't been here for the food but come here for the nightlife. Good music and ambiance, love coming here to dance if I don't want to go into the city. I will say this as a tip, do not believe the waitresses when they say they can't charge your credit card and to take out money from the ATM they have in the bar, it's a lie. Twice when I've been here with friends and the bill has come out to $100+ they tried to tell us they couldn't accept credit cards and to take out cash. Rumor has it that the girls here try to pull that with customers so they can pocket the cash. We weren't going to let them scam us like that so both times we threatened to ask for the owner of the bar. Well, what do you know? As soon as we said that, magically they were able to run our credit card to pay the bill. I like the place because the music is good and drinks and prices as decent but yeah don't let yourself get scammed here is my only advice. read more

This review is for the evening sports bar scene. It's a nice local venue with absolutely no frills(sneakers, jeans ok). The staff is friendly, drinks are good, patrons are respectful. There is a variety of wines, beers and a selection of Latin American liquors. DJs rotate, but it's always a mix of salsa/merengue/cumbia/reggaeton). The younger the DJ the more recent the music selection. :-) read more

8 years ago while working at Logan I befriended this guy who introduced me to what would become one of my favorite restaurants/meals I've ever had. Nestled in East Boston by the Victory Pub (Orient Heights) lies this gem of a restaurant. First off let me say that I've only had one dish over the past 8 years but man is it the best tasting Tipico plate I've ever had. The plate is dubbed as the "Traditional Colombian Dish" and consists of the following for $11.00: 1 Fried Egg Bowl of stewed beans (beyond tasty) Steak Sausage Pork Salad Top top it off the staff is super friendly and could be some of the best looking women I've ever seen. Now that El Paisa has been replaced, El Kiosko the last decent Colombian joint in the neighborhood. I've been here twice, once at the bar and once at the restaurant. The bar was pretty expensive (it was like 4 dollars for a Heineken) and at night it turns into a loud night club with pounding Latin music(not necessarily a bad thing, there's a time and a place for everything). But the restaurant is pretty solid, everything tasted great and had a home cooked kind of feel to it. I'll definitely be back for the food and maybe even go back to the bar if I need to forget my problems with music so loud I can't think. read more

I have to say that I'm really bummed that I need to write this review. Especially because I'm not a frequent review writer and would give this restaurant a very high rating on any other normal day. I love their Colombian breakfast and go often, but something happened this past weekend that has caused me to never go back. I went there this past Saturday morning with my husband, 2 young children and 4 friends. We had a great time. When the check came, everyone paid in cash except us; we used my husbands debit card (our fault I guess). Fast forward to this morning, I get to work and decide to check my bank account. I noticed 2 charges were made to Walmart.com. Let me tell you that we had not used that card at any point over the weekend or even during the week for that matter, and to place an order online, you need the security code on the back of the card. I called Walmart.com to find out what these charges were and they were not showing any charges were made on MY card number, so they told me to call my bank and dispute the charges. I then called my bank and they notified me that the order was made around 6:50am this morning using my husbands card number. I confirmed with my husband that he didn't make the charges (especially since he was sleeping at that hour), so they moved forward with refunding and moving to fraud status, etc. I then called Walmart.com back and had them check the charges on my husbands credit card number. They were able to confirm that someone did indeed use the card, but they were showing a different name for the order/shipping which was not my husbands. They couldn't give me the information for security reasons of course, but the only viable explanation is that someone (be it our waitress, etc.) copied down all of the information from my husbands card and used it to do some Christmas shopping. Walmart was kind enough to tell me that the charge was actually larger than what was showing in my bank and that they would go ahead and cancel the order, put it in fraud status, and refund whatever "other" charges were pending. Needless to say, as much as I love their breakfast, I was very disappointed that this happened and will never go back. They have lost our trust. read more

Very convenient to the Courtyard Marriott Airport. The food was GREAT, but it probably doesn't matter because that does not seem to be the reason this place is in business. (We were convinced it was a front for something: prostitution? gambling?) Don't ask for anything that's not exactly as described. "The menu is the menu." And it's not the menu that we found online. Vegetarians and gluten intolerant folks will have a hard time eating here. The waitresses are nubile, for sure, but not well trained as food servers. They were in a cluster and quite shocked when we walked in (white and Asian women). We did not feel welcome. Halfway through our meal, they turned up the music as loud as possible; we had to go up to the bar ourselves to get served, and then they called our waitress four times before she heard them and responded. The bouncer showed up as we left, so perhaps they get busy. read more

I've been to this place for drinks and karaoke in the past and had a great experience taking into account that the place was so jammed packed, I didn't really pay attention to what I was drinking, which leads me to the conclusion that so do a lot of people. One Monday night, I went with my husband for food and drinks and I have to say that the food was spectacular except when a COCKROACH crawled underneath my plate. I just crushed with a piece of paper and thought that was going to be the end of it. All of a sudden, my husband was sipping his drink when we noticed that a COCKROACH was floating in his drink. How sanitary is this place? Never again. People be AWARE don't get carried away by your drinks, inspect them. read more
