    Swordfish

I think the biggest appeal of this place is great beach view and inside is also very well designed and comfortable. We had a large party and few kids so decided it would be more comfortable inside. We got a semi private room initially so that was nice. Another party came in halfway through which was fine. Service was excellent. Our server was attentive and checked on us often. Got all our orders correct and was very polite. Surprisingly the truffle fries were my favorite. Very crunchy and just the right crispiness. Fried calamari was also great with the right level of crispness and mixed jalapeños. The swordfish had no flavor and was bit dry. I should have expected this but wanted to try regardless. The dish had plenty of strong supplemental flavors trying to enhance the flavorless dish but wasn't doing it for me. Overall not a bad place to take friends or date if in area but I would not go out of my way to come back.

Full disclosure, the following was written by an AI bot, but it was with feedback that I rambled, and I approve the content of this message. I'm an actual customer who manipulated about not a bot from marketing purposes. That is all.... We originally came to Revere Beach for the food trucks... only to discover we'd timed it perfectly to miss them. ‍ Plan B was Drift, and I'm genuinely glad things worked out that way. We grabbed seats at the bar, where one of the bartenders took care of us. The service was outstanding--attentive without hovering, refills appeared before we realized we wanted them, and every request was met with a smile. We weren't exactly running up the bar tab (I think our group had one drink each), but we were treated like regulars. That's becoming a rare thing these days. The food was equally impressive. The salads were perfectly dressed, and the fish tacos were fresh and flavorful, though I would have loved just a little more acidity. A few dashes of Tabasco brought them exactly where I wanted them. Dessert deserves its own standing ovation. The olive oil and grapefruit creation was bright, unexpected, and absolutely delicious. But the undisputed star of the evening was the mushroom gnocchi. The truffle hits you hard at first, almost making you wonder if it's too much. Then, almost magically, the flavor evolves into something rich, earthy, and incredibly balanced. It's one of those dishes that keeps changing as you eat it--and by the last bite you're already wondering when you'll order it again. Funny how missing the food trucks ended up being the best part of the evening. Drift wasn't just a backup plan--it was the highlight of the night.

I was not very impressed by Dryft in Revere, MA. My sisters and I were meeting a local friend here for dinner. We had a reservation and were seated right away and with water and menus. One half hour later, our waitress finally came to take our order after walking back and forth ignoring us for that 30 minutes. When our waitress took our orders, there was no apology for the long wait either. The food we ate was good, but not worth the wait. The portions were generous, and I couldn't finish mine. One sis ordered lobster roll with slaw, pickles and fries. She found it to be underwhelming, particularly the texture. I had the Dryft cheeseburger covered in caramelized onions and fries as a side. It was a big burger, well cooked, and I deconstructed it, to have less bun. The plentiful onions were a nice addition, and I liked the fries. The other sis ordered chicken under a brick, which was a fried boneless chicken breast under mashed potatoes, chicken jus, and brussels. She substituted asparagus for the brussels. Sis was highly satisfied with her whole meal and ate it all. Our host had a salad, but I didn't catch which one. It was large, not particularly noteworthy, and she didn't finish it either. The place was really noisy, which made conversation difficult. One other thing I noticed: all the female staff were wearing very short black skirts or shorts while the male staff members wore long black pants. I didn't inquire about a dress code or uniform, but it seemed sexist to me.

i love it here! i've been coming here for a couple years now & the food is always good. the service is great. today we got the watermelons salad (my favorite), and the short rid bolognese. both were fantastic. oysters are always fresh. this place is definitely overpriced, but for me to sit outside and look at the beach- it's worth it.

Service was really great and the food simply amazing. Steak frites were a bit tough, they should probably slice it tinner if they going to use that tough of a cut of meat. Seasoning was spot on and the burger was great.

GOOD ITALIAN & GOOD VIEW: I had the Shrimp Limoncello and it was an excellent dish. Great balance of flavors and the pasta tasted fresh, not heavy. Portion sizes are on the small side, so you'll probably want an appetizer if you're hungry. In the end you get solid Italian food without having to drive into the North End. The view of the water is really nice and definitely one of the draws for me to come back. There's some limited free street parking, but finding a space isn't always easy.

Lobster Roll (today's price $45) was good though

Service was top notch. Our server, even though it was very busy, was on top of everything. The food was really good too. You get what you pay for. We started with the clam chowder and it hit the spot. It had a perfect combination of ingredients. Tasted so good. For the main we decided on the lobster roll (market price $45). It was a great choice. The crab was so good and they did not fill you up with bread. There was a lot of crab on the roll.

View is spectacular, food was delicious, but, dude, Italian food with no bread? Drinks are amazing!

Salmon Benedict & Steak and Eggs

Brunch at Dryft was soooo good! I got the Salmon Benedict and it was delicious. Perfectly poached eggs, buttery English muffins, and the freshest smoked salmon with a creamy hollandaise that tied it all together. Also the spinach was SO good. My friend got the Steak & Eggs which she loved, but the real star for me was the espresso martini, easily one of the best I've ever had. Our server Tracy was the best! So nice and attentive. Between the ocean views and the chill brunch vibes, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

Food and drinks are good. The vibe is also fun. The seating both inside and out are festive. The bar is very active and lively at night.

The peppers weren't spicy but added perfect acid to the whole pizza. The dough was amazing and it was flawlessly cooked (which for a true Napolitano pizza is a challenge) which is a good sign for any pizza from here. The wife had the Gnochetti which had the important trick of knowing to mix the gnocchi and the short rib into one amazing concoction. Trust me on this one. We closed with the Nutella pizza which I've had at numerous other restaurants and Ciao's was hands down the best ever. Make sure to save room for this... seriously. We found the folks here to be so welcoming and genuine in their desire to provide a delicious meal and experience. This is a small casual cafe with takeout service and a small eat in space and in good weather, outdoor seating, though limited. Excellent prompt service by the charming staffers. Four of us shared the Fungi pizza and the Margherita pizza. Both were delicious with a crisp thin crust and so fresh tasting. In addition we tried a plate of their Short Ribs which tasted homemade for sure. The menu also offered several pasta choices. The desserts shared were cannoli, tiramisu and a mousse. All delicious. This is a definite "return to" pizzeria.

After making a reservation, the three of us arrived shortly after noon to find the restaurant completely empty. In fact, there were no staff in sight. After calling toward the kitchen, a waitress appeared, and we seated ourselves. After ordering waters and iced teas, we looked over the extensive menu and chose: * Ay Caramba! ($16) - A vegetarian tapa packed with corn, peppers, spinach, mushrooms, and more. * Margherita Pizza ($18) - Garlic confit, fresh basil, vine-ripened tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella. * Panko-Crusted Baked Haddock ($32) - Served with roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and a white wine cream reduction. The Ay Caramba! was the standout dish of the meal. It was flavorful, with a great texture, and easily our favorite. The Margherita pizza featured a very thin, crisp crust with fresh tomatoes and a light touch of sauce, making for a good but not exceptional pizza. Opinions on the haddock were mixed--one diner enjoyed it, while another thought it had a slightly fishy taste. The restaurant itself has a pleasant, inviting atmosphere, and once service began, our waitress was friendly, attentive, and checked on us several times throughout the meal. At almost $100 with tip, this isn't an innexpensive place. That said, we enjoyed lunch and would be happy to return. Tip: Metered parking is available on the street and there is a small parking lot next to Valsos. You can also park further down toward the beach, about a 5-minute walk to the restaurant.
