Loved my new Revere Beach dining experience. I've been coming to the beach since I was in a stroller. Dryft was an upscale experience from the usual stands and restaurants that historically been part of the Revere Beach dining experience since mid-century and further back. Dryft is easy to get to from the beach side and the subway. We ate on the outdoor deck. The restaurant is above street level for an ocean view. What a great way to enjoy a summer afternoon. Our service was great, professional not overly friendly. I liked the atmosphere, casual but a bit upscale for Revere Beach. The food was delicious. I tried the clam chowder, and ordered the mushroom gnocchi. Which both delicious. They have a full bar and they offer high tops, regular chairs and indoor & outdoor seating. We stayed at the Marriott next door and it was so nice to have a work dinner at this seafood restaurant. We ordered mussels, clam chowder and some fish tacos. Notable dinner spot to meet with friends and/or coworkers. Sat inside on a rainy day but plenty of people had opted to sit on the outdoor patio which seemed like it was a cool vibe. Ordered several apps: Brussels sprouts, octopus and calamari. All were great but the octopus was the fan favorite. It was served over some sort of puree (maybe potatoes?) and accompanied by a green. To be fair, I had just come back from a vacation where seafood was the star of every meal, so the octopus was a little overcooked in my opinion but since everyone else was happy, I was too. For the pastas, the server encouraged us to order the full size which ended up being way too much food. We both left more than half on our plates which I guess would have been good if we weren't traveling from out of town and could have taken it home as leftovers...but it really was just a waste. One half hour later, our waitress finally came to take our order after walking back and forth ignoring us for that 30 minutes. It was a big burger, well cooked, and I deconstructed it, to have less bun. The plentiful onions were a nice addition, and I liked the fries. The other sis ordered chicken under a brick, which was a fried boneless chicken breast under mashed potatoes, chicken jus, and brussels. She substituted asparagus for the brussels. Sis was highly satisfied with her whole meal and ate it all. Our host had a salad, but I didn't catch which one. It was large, not particularly noteworthy, and she didn't finish it either. GOOD ITALIAN & GOOD VIEW: I had the Shrimp Limoncello and it was an excellent dish. Great balance of flavors and the pasta tasted fresh, not heavy. Portion sizes are on the small side, so you'll probably want an appetizer if you're hungry. In the end you get solid Italian food without having to drive into the North End. Brunch at Dryft was soooo good! I got the Salmon Benedict and it was delicious. Perfectly poached eggs, buttery English muffins, and the freshest smoked salmon with a creamy hollandaise that tied it all together. Also the spinach was SO good. My friend got the Steak & Eggs which she loved, but the real star for me was the espresso martini, easily one of the best I've ever had. Our server Tracy was the best! So nice and attentive. The restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing, they did a fantastic job with design elements, and there is a water view. I recently visited Dryft with a friend and absolutely loved it! Located on Revere beach, it has a great vibe and great views. The service was efficient and our waitress was so sweet. We started with some cocktails and I got the Ghosted. It had ghost tequila, ghost pepper, turmeric tonic, lemon. It was super delicious but just a little too sweet for me. We also ordered the buffalo cauliflower and it was fantastic. It had the perfect level of both spice and crunch. I asked the waitress for some guidance on my dinner selection and recommended the Shrimp Limoncello as one of their most popular dishes, and I can see why! It had fettuccine, creamy lemon sauce, parmesan, garlic, breadcrumbs, and lemon gremolata. It was absolutely exceptional! The taste was so rich and wonderful and the breadcrumbs added a great texture. I would absolutely recommend it and due to the richness, I was able to get two meas out of it. A solid dining choice if you find yourself in the Revere Beach area. If you like Shrimp scampi, their shrimp scampi pasta is a good choice, and what I personally liked is they do half portions which filled me up perfectly. Their seasonal chopped salad though, wow, super tasty, didn't even need a fish/meat addition, it was really delicious just as is, would definitely recommend if you enjoy a good salad. My dining companions also really enjoyed their food choices. Their drinks are interesting, and good but on the weak side, it was honestly more of a mocktail and for the price, I wish I had gotten a beer or wine instead.
