Omg the new tapas menu. Come and get it!!! Chef Felipe has outdone himself again. The new tapa menu features 9 delicious options at affordable prices. Perfect for a drink and bite. Love this place!!!

Pistachio martini (front) and espresso martini (back) - this is after a few sips, they always come filled to the rim!

Updating my review yet again because I can't say enough good things about this place. Brandon, the bartender, is what makes this place so good. He makes the best cocktails and is such a pleasure to talk to. He can make any drink and always remembers what we typically order.

Food tasted great but service was a bit slow even though we were at the restaurant early and there were only two other tables. It took a good 10-15 minutes for basic appetizer. Don't expect much of ambiance.

What an extraordinary experience! From the ambiance , the exquisite food and the exceptional service . If your ever in Winthrop, MA , this restaurant is a must ! The attention to detail was unlike no other . The craftsmanship of the art work within the restaurant was beautiful. They were conversation starters and a pleasure to view . The owner and artist is a magnificent talent and so humble in the explanation of his pieces. The bartender was knowledgeable and professional. His expertise in cocktails was memorable. He also took such good care of us The must try cocktail was the pistachio martini Unbelievable!!! Hats off to the chef because all the plates were wonderful and had a beautiful presentation . The attention to detail in this establishment is 5 stars !!!! Thank you guys for a fabulous evening !!

Without a doubt one of our favorite restaurants of all time. Incredible flavors and the bartender Brandon is superior. We go a lot because it is always a great time. The owner also is a carpenter and his creations are all over the restaurant and are so unique and fascinating.

Good local restaurant here and no complaints . We had the pigs ears , calamari , fries and the burger as to go and we enjoy it pretty much . Crispy pig ears and good fries. Next time we will try the main entree when we have a chance to sit down.

They have rotating specials all the time, but their regular menu is so good that I just can't move away. Their smash burger is fantastic, but their salads are nice and hefty, so even if you're trying to eat light, you leave full and satisfied. Caesar salads are simple and standard everywhere, but I'm always happy with the one I get from Murray's - well dressed with a yummy cheese crisp on top. Their wings are delicious, always come out piping hot, and have a creative array of sauces. The variety of fries are impressive too and all of them are delicious (though, when are fries really not delicious?!) My favorite thing about Murray's is the front outdoor seating area. When the weather is a bit cooler, they'll turn on the gas heaters, so you can have a comfortable meal and still enjoy some fresh air. But what makes it truly my favorite is that it's dog friendly! It's always so tough to find spots that allow dogs, but Murray's staff is always so kind to us when we bring our dog with us for dinner, and they'll even bring out a bowl of water for him. Good service comes from the top, and we've met John, who is incredibly nice and friendly. Conversations with him are consistently pleasant and we love that he's always open to sharing what he knows about food and drink! The staff also provides kind, speedy service, which we definitely appreciate. The only negative about Murray's is the fact that we only found them a year ago and hate that we didn't find out about them sooner!

The patty was juicy and the burger was messy in every way you'd want a burger to be. The fried pickles was a nice complement to the entire meal, however their waffle cut fries were also delicious if you don't prefer pickles. The ribs are fabulous! No question. They are as good as any I've tasted anywhere! Juicy, meaty,…read moreso flavorful. Perfect, I'd say! The green beans are fabulous, too. Fresh and perfectly cooked. I think the mashed potatoes must be fabulous fresh, but mine were heated over because they were prepared before I arrived, so I tasted that heated-over taste. But! They were very good; real potatoes, which you almost never can find anymore, and lots of butter! I might change that myself; a little less butter and a little more milk or cream. The thing I found disappointing was the fried chicken. I went to the restaurant to try the ribs because I'm looking for ribs to serve at a dinner party and I'm on the hunt, but I had to try the chicken! You may like it; I think my objection is a personal taste thing, but ..... The coating on the chicken tastes like it was poured out of a spice-blend like Montreal Steak seasoning or the Kirkland Signature Organic No-Salt seasoning, or Lawrey's Seasoning, or the seasoning packet from Good Seasons Zesty salad dressing packets - I know I've tasted it before, but I can't remember which it is. It was too too much! As I said above; it tasted like it was poured into bowl from the package and the chicken was dredged in it. The flavor may be great if it were toned down a little, like starting with flour and adding the seasoning blend to the flour? Starting with half and half of each would be an improvement, but I would go with a 3 to 1 ratio of flour to mix. Other than that, I am definitely going to order the ribs for my dinner! As it was, I used the sauce that came with the ribs to dip my chicken in; that sauce is out of this world!!!!! And the two gentlemen who helped me were terrific! Carmen talked to me about the ribs, the rest of the menu and was the most gracious host! I told him about my quest for ribs and he was very helpful! He alone is worth going back for. And Zee must have asked me 10 times if I needed anything; he was very attentive! This is a cozy place tucked away where you can go and relax and enjoy a great meal! Order the ribs!

One half hour later, our waitress finally came to take our order after walking back and forth ignoring us for that 30 minutes. When our waitress took our orders, there was no apology for the long wait either. The food we ate was good, but not worth the wait. The portions were generous, and I couldn't finish mine. One sis ordered lobster roll with slaw, pickles and fries. She found it to be underwhelming, particularly the texture. I had the Dryft cheeseburger covered in caramelized onions and fries as a side. It was a big burger, well cooked, and I deconstructed it, to have less bun. The plentiful onions were a nice addition, and I liked the fries. The other sis ordered chicken under a brick, which was a fried boneless chicken breast under mashed potatoes, chicken jus, and brussels. She substituted asparagus for the brussels. Sis was highly satisfied with her whole meal and ate it all. Our host had a salad, but I didn't catch which one. It was large, not particularly noteworthy, and she didn't finish it either. The place was really noisy, which made conversation difficult. One other thing I noticed: all the female staff were wearing very short black skirts or shorts while the male staff members wore long black pants. I didn't inquire about a dress code or uniform, but it seemed sexist to me.

There are also high top tables, regular tables, and lounge tables and leather sofas in the front, smaller flatscreen TVs on the walls and a shuffleboard in the middle of the room. Upbeat music is blasting over the speakers. The pub food menu offerings include appetizers, wings, burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, salads, entrees, and sides. The prices are moderate. During my sightseeing visit to Winthrop to watch the planes takeoff and land at Logan Airport, a mile away, I was getting hungry and stumbled upon the Blue Sky Tavern. I walked inside and took a seat up at the bar. The bartender gave me a food menu to look over and I requested an ice water. I decided on the Fish & Chips ($22 plus tax) with House Fries & Cole Slaw, which was served in 10 minutes after ordering. Served on a square plate, the portion size was good, which had a nice sized fried crisp battered haddock filet, golden fries and a cup of wide shredded slaw with cabbage & carrot, tartar sauce and lemons on the side. The haddock and fries were deep fried very hot and to perfection. The haddock was soft & flaky, good dipping into the tartar sauce and ketchup. The standard house fries were hot and crisp outside. The slaw with a light mayo base was crunchy. After I was done, I got the check which was $23.38 with tax and before tip. Overall, stopping in at the Blue Sky Tavern was a nice surprise for an early dinner since I was initially going to stop at a chain restaurant in Revere after watching the planes in the sky. The service was friendly and I would stop by again for food if I'm in the neighborhood.
