The staff were very friendly and were happy to answer my questions regarding their menu. I got the chicken tacos, and they were delicious! This is a great location, some outdoor seating, some indoor, not quite as crowded as the Summit one. Although I'm sure this place is crawling with kiddos sometimes. Taco Mama has certainly raised their prices a lot over the years. I got a chicken quesadilla and a fountain drink and ended up paying about $23 with tip. This is a little steep, especially for lunch. Especially with the quesadilla, I would opt for a smaller portion if it knocked a few dollars off the price. I will add, I used to work at a Taco Mama and I know the front of house staff gets paid about $6/hr. They're working for tips, like most service industry folk. Be kind, and don't assume that because it's not table service you don't have to tip.

At lunch I invariably get tacos from the Justice is Served (grilled shrimp or grilled flounder with ancho chile slaw, avocado, tomatoes, and roasted poblano tartar.), Cheezy Beef (Barbacoa (braised beef) with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, queso, lettuce, queso fresco, and mild salsa ranchera.) or a Mix & Match. Regardless of the wait to order the food arrives quickly and is always tasty. The decor is eclectic and I enjoy grabbing the table under the Jeep grill.
