Incredible... CASH ONLY! So fun to come and tailgate lunch here. I had an assortment of tacos. The al pastor and suadero really stood out. ESPECIALLY the suadero... scrumptious. The tortillas are perfect. I'd recommend three tacos for lunch. And add some hot sauce before you walk away. I got a squirt, one of my favorite drinks from my travels in Mexico. It's a grapefruit soda, basically a full-sugar Fresca, comparable to Sprite. Service is fast, and cash only. They have tons of sodas in an ice chest at the front. There are a lot of other Mexican restaurants in town that claim to serve "street tacos." But none I've had are as good as these. I'll certainly be back to try the burrito with suadero. I'm sure the tortas are delicious, too.

The best tacos in the state hands down...and maybe the U.S.A.!!! I've been searching the country high and low for street tacos that can compete and have yet to find any. You'd think this was some exquisite taco, but it actually the simplicity of the ingredients that make it remarkably the best tacos I've ever had. It's a corn tortilla shell (I don't typically like, corn tortillas but I like theirs), meat, white onions, and cilantro (I get mine without cilantro). Simply perfection. The have a variety of meat selections from steak, chicken, beef cheek, and beef tongue, pork, etc. They also do a veggie taco!!! They were voted best on a U.S. Today list for tacos and burritos. I've been going here for years and haven't tried the burritos because the tacos are soooo good, but my son loves the burritos, too. You have the option for a green and red spicy sauce. Do yourself a favor and get a "baggy" for the pickled carrots and peppers. It's a food truck and the line is always long, unless you can time your arrival just right! The line moves quickly though. Many ppl stand around and eat them onsite or you can get your food prepared to go. They also serve breakfast, so you can get your fix early! #winning. The service is always great and because I'm a regular, they always know my order....three chicken tacos, no cilantro, and one veggie, no cilantro. I literally crave these tacos weekly!!! Once I decide to change my order, I'll post another review. Omg...how can I forget, the ceviche is also amazing and super fresh...thank me law

The best authentic Mexican food in the city & I love a taco truck but the freshness of the food and the quick friendly service makes them one of the best there was a line but it moved pretty quickly I came to the homewood location for lunch & had their shrimp ceviche absolutely delicious and did I mention the ingredients were fresh lol parking can be a little hassle it being on the lot of a gas station and they accept cash only

Definitely the best breakfast tacos I have ever had. The two sauces go perfect with the chorizo, onions, cilantro, avocado, fresca, sour cream and just the right amount of scrambled egg (flat scrambled and not overcrowding the taco). The guys in the truck are always cool. The food came out in less than a 2 minute wait. $12 for these 3 massive tacos on 2 corn tortillas each. Dos hermanos is the best in the business. None compare. All other taco trucks are lesser.

Been going to this specific taco truck since I moved up to Birmingham the past 4 years. They also provide fast but delicious food and stay open late at night which I appreciate! Their menu provides a variety of food options for any type of person. I ordered 3 tacos de asada (steak) with a side of salsa, onions, radish, and cilantro. Service was fast and easy. They understand English and Spanish and food was ready in less than 15 minutes. I believe their price is great as both plates cost me less than 20$. They also provide tables and chairs for people to eat there. Even though they're next to a gas station, I believe the most authentic foods come from food trucks and the best tacos in Birmingham come from here!

What a great food truck! Service is fast, good selection. Food was fantastic You know it is a great truck when there are 15-20 people in line to order! I will come back here. Yummy!

We ordered a variety of tacos -- Asada, Campechano, Al pastor, and Carnitas; Grilled Jalapeños, and both sauces -- Roja and Verde. They were great and we'll definitely be ordering again.

My favorite food truck. The service is beyond fast. Cash only. My favorite meat is the cabesa, lengua, steak, and chicken. Don't forget to ask for a little sandwich bag to put their pickled carrots and jalapeños in it.

On to the 3rd chicken wing place!…read more When I was looking for a place to fix my buffalo chicken wings craving, since previous places have disappointed me, I had high hopes for A-Train Station. This is a food truck that also offers delivery. VERY VERY disappointed. First off, the menu does not describe it, but most of the wings options come with fries. Okay, cool, the fries were crinkle cut and crispy. When I opened the container to chow down, I was so let down I wanted to cry (not really cry like tears though...well, maybe the food heart in me did). The wings are TINY TINY TINY TINY. Itty itty itty bitty. Think the length and the width of a pinkie finger. I have small hands (I need to buy child-sized gloves for winter wear and kid's sized shoes) and as you can see from the picture, they are smaller than a normal sized fork. What was more, I paid extra for "extra saucy wings." There was barely any sauce coating one side let alone being extra saucy! What was more, they were soggy and the minimal meat that was on the bone was a poor and tough quality. Thus, 1/5 for size, 1/5 for crispiness 1/5 for meat quality, 1/5 for sauce. RUN AWAAAY! BOOO HISSSSS THE WINGS HERE!!! Not worth the money. And the hot sauce? NOT SPICY. I've tasted ketchup that is more spicy!

It was an hour before closing so my friend and I decided to eat inside. The lady at the counter was pleasant as she took our orders. I ordered the egg roll combo, which was the special of the day. My friend ordered the Philly with fries. My egg rolls looked as if they had been reheated. They did throw in a soul food egg roll I guess for us to try. All of them were extra....crunchy, and I had to break the end parts off because they were dry and overcooked. I don't remember my friend having anything either way to say about his food. There was no option for the drink...they just handed us some green punch in a cup. The ice machine wasn't working and the lady had to go across the street for ice. The ice in our punch had already melted. There was both inside and outside seating. Overall, I think I will stick to the food truck when it's on my side of town. I wasn't really happy with my food but I know they offer better options. One thing to note....there was a kid in the place that was watching something on the tv (YouTube, maybe?) that, in my opinion was inappropriate due to the subject matter and profanity. The guy in the back was aware of this, shook his head, but did not tell the boy to turn it. This overall left a not so good impression. Yeah...I'll definitely be sticking to the food truck for my A-Train fix.

I also learned they've made the exciting move from being a food truck to their own brick-and-mortar location. Congratulations on such a wonderful milestone! I ordered the quesabirria tacos with a side of chips (the chips don't come with the meal). The tacos are served with consommé and a side of refried black beans. Everything was DELICIOUS! The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I'd give the quesabirria a 9.7/10. The only thing that would have made it even better for me would have been a little crispy cheese crunch. The salsa, which I had to request, was a bit spicier than I prefer. But then again, my son recently informed me that I'm a spice wimp... or something to that effect. So take that review for what it's worth! Not only was the food fantastic, but the service was friendly and FAST. The atmosphere is laid back and welcoming, and they even have a patio if you enjoy outdoor dining. Congratulations again on your new location! I'll definitely be back.

This time, however, I decided to try the quesabirrias, and unfortunately, they were disappointing. I also ordered a horchata, which I didn't think was very good. The biggest area that needs improvement is the customer service. I would describe it as average at best, and in some ways, closer to poor. I understand that no one is obligated to greet customers or wish them a good day, but when you're paying for a meal--especially at a place that isn't exactly cheap--you at least expect to be treated with kindness. During my visit, no one greeted me when I walked in or when they came to take my order, and overall the staff didn't seem very welcoming or attentive. While I was waiting for my food, I asked if I could get a little more horchata. The employee simply replied, "No, you have to buy another one." I responded, "No, that's okay." Honestly, if the horchata had been really good, I would have gladly paid for another one. It wasn't so much about having to buy a second drink--it was more about the way the situation was handled. Small interactions like that can make a big difference in how customers feel. I truly believe this restaurant has a lot of potential. If they improved their customer service and showed a little more warmth and empathy toward their customers, it could easily become one of the best Mexican restaurants in Birmingham. The food has potential, but the overall dining experience also depends on how customers are treated, and that's the area that still needs the most improvement.
