    Tortillas, rice and beans

An amazing dinner experience, wonderful quality dishes. The restaurant decor was very lovely and there was plenty of parking available. The staff was very hospitable. I ordered the fajita and my bf ordered the steak both dishes came with rice, beans and tortillas. The steak was tender and the fajitas were excepcional. Both of our dishes arrived fast and the food was savory. Real Mexican cuisine. The rice and beans were very savory and the margaritas were amazing!! Highly recommend to visit this restaurant. Ps Genni took great care of us! She was very attentive.

I had some Palomas, shrimp cocktail, and shrimp tacos. I came here cause I wasn't close to a good sushi place and was looking for something fresh. This place was it, delicate flavors, fresh everything from scratch. I also love the inside of the area so cool all around. And Joy was a awesome bartender/server and get this Caribe's!!!!

We wanted margaritas and nachos and that's what we got !! We always forget about "Happy Hour" in FL. We missed it but keep in mind that it does exist. Margaritas were a great value and tasted good too. The nachos were also good. We would stop by again. There were some big plates of yummy food that were being served all around us. Maybe next time. The HOT salsa was really hot !!! Yay !

Great lunch specials. Food was very tasty and the queso dip was also good. Friendly and fast customer service.

This place is phenomenal. I got a frozen strawberry margarita, the molcajete, and fried icecream. The prices were good and was able to split with leftovers this main meat dish for $35. It was flavorful and the service was great! It's pretty busy inside too which is a good indicator. I've never had fried icecream before, but I definitely fell in love after having it. I would come back for sure! TikTok Reviewer: acaicaitlin

Not impressed. Sat outside, and glad I did, they have mariachi going around the restaurant singing (they were great) but tbh the space felt tight. I was feeling a litter over stimulated but the breeze outside made it better. Did not like my food, I ordered arroz con pollo and tostones. The arroz con pollo was a bit meh (the seasoning is missing something) and the tostones were soggy. Service person didn't tend to me very much as I was alone , thus leaving me waiting to ask for things like salt, a refill , and napkins. Not sure I would recommend this place for food but it's a nice place to sit outside and enjoy the view. I have a stomach ache now. Great!

The tostones were excellent! Cooked to perfection crispy and right amount of saltiness along with a yummy dipping sauce. The black beans were flavorful. the steak flavor was good but it was chewy. We will give it another try where eating it at home on plates.

From a food standpoint alone, I'd absolutely come back. That said, the experience was a bit confusing and ended on a frustrating note. We weren't asked whether our order was for here or to go, and after ordering, our group of five sat down (we pulled together five chairs) and waited for our food. Despite that, everything came out in to-go packaging. When we walked in, we noticed other tables dining in had bottles with three different types of salsa available. However, we were only given a very small portion in a to-go container. I went up to grab a pineapple Jarrito and asked if we could use the salsa bottles since we were eating there. Instead, I was told no and that we had already been given to-go salsa--and they also tried to charge me extra for additional salsa. What made it more frustrating was that when I explained we were dining in, I was told that we had asked for our food to go, which wasn't the case. No one in our group was asked, and we had clearly sat down to eat inside. It felt unnecessarily rigid and dismissive, especially since we brought in a group of five and spent over $70. The food was genuinely great, but the lack of communication and flexibility on the service side made the experience feel awkward and disappointing. I'd still recommend the place for the food, but hopefully the service improves.

From the first bite, the flavors hit perfectly. The meats were seasoned and cooked just right, layered with fresh toppings that brought balance and texture to every mouthful. There's a richness to it, but it never feels overwhelming--just straight-up satisfying comfort food done right. Now, I'll be honest--the bread was slightly on the soggy side. But here's the thing... it didn't take away from the experience. If anything, it soaked up all that flavor, and once you leaned into it, it worked. Every bite still delivered. Pairing it with a Coco Rico? That was the move. The coconut sweetness cut through the savory flavors of the sandwich perfectly--it's one of those combinations you don't realize you need until you try it. Even though I ordered pickup, the experience still stood out. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and gave off that genuine "you're family here" vibe that you can't fake. 10/10--absolutely recommend. Dropped in on an early-Tuesday night to find the place already had a few patrons in it. We were warmly greeted by Carla (who served us very well) and asked if we had ever been here before (no), and then were given the time to review their menu, ask questions, and finally make our selections. My wife had a couple of their Pizza Empanadas, while I chose the Chicken Mofungo (sp?). For an appetizer of sorts we ordered their ham croquetas. The food came out made-to-order and it was hot and fresh. My wife loved their empanadas, and my order was a massive serving of chicken corn meal, and a small side salad of sorts. The mofongo comes with an incredibly delicious garlic sauce that just makes the whole meal work even more than it was already working. We shared two desserts - the Tres Leches along with a guava cake roll I can't recall what it was called. The Tres Leches was just the right size (as this is a traditionally sweet treat) and the cake roll was sizeable - so it made sense to share that. Truly walked away feeling good about this place - from the welcoming decor, the staff, and of course the food - I hope the local (including me) give this place the love it deserves...

Once seated, we were placed in the second dining room and ordered drinks, four appetizers, and our entrees. Unfortunately, from the start, the table was not properly set. We had no silverware, no napkins, no side plates for sharing appetizers, no coasters, and really no table settings at all. For a party ordering multiple appetizers and drinks, this immediately made service feel disorganized and inattentive. The issue became even worse when our entrees arrived and, almost immediately after, staff started stacking chairs around us at approximately 9:12 p.m. We had only been seated maybe 15-20 minutes earlier, so as a party of five on a Saturday night, we certainly did not expect the restaurant to begin visibly shutting down while we were just starting our meal. What made it even more frustrating was that these tables were already available when we first walked in, despite being told there would be a wait. Since we were entertaining guests, we thought this would be a great opportunity to show off the rooftop, which is such a great feature for a small town like DeLand and has so much potential. Instead, the experience became embarrassing and disappointing. Having staff stack chairs and place them on tabletops in the middle of our meal felt incredibly rude and unprofessional. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere and made us feel rushed out rather than welcomed. When we asked to speak with a manager, the response we received was that "the servers have to go home." That explanation was unacceptable. Paying customers should never be made to feel like an inconvenience, especially while actively dining. With my own background in restaurant service and management, I found both the handling of the situation and the manager's response to be extremely poor. As a DeLand local, this was especially disappointing because this restaurant has been making improvements and adding entertainment, which we were excited to support. Unfortunately, the poor service and lack of professionalism completely overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable night out.
