I got the chorizo, asada, and steak tacos. Out of the three, the chorizo was the best! It was flavorful and juicy. The steak was a bit dry and chewy, but the asada was good. Well, let's face it, there isn't any good Mexican food in Charlotte... hard stop. But, this is one for the better options if you want traditional Mexican tamales. I have not had anything else here, only tamales and they're pretty good. This is also dependent on when you go (day and/or time). Their 3 tamales special is fairly cheap for $11-$12 and come with rice and beans. I say that the quality is a bit dependent on date/time, but this is slightly just a natural issue with the tamales themselves, and how long they can sit in the steamer. Sometimes, they can be a little dry. The only drawback is that the dough to filling ratio can be a little lob sided towards the doughy, which isn't the best. But, flavor-wise, you can't go wrong here!
