I couldn't decide on what to eat but went with the pork carnitas plate. Fiancé went with the birria tacos and we shared some guac and chips. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. The pork on mine was very tender and juicy and there was something about the flour tortilla that was different but very good. I seasoned it with their spiciest hot sauce (I could handle on its own, but accidentally ate a jalapeño right after...yikes). I honestly could have inhaled the whole plate but saved some for later. Fiancé is somewhat of a birria connoisseur, and while these weren't his favorite he enjoyed them. Xalos was a great find and good value for the price (a little over $50 for the two entrees and appetizer). I'd love to try their tacos on our next visit.

Carne Asada Burrito - 4.25 Stars $19.99 A flour tortilla filed with grilled steak, rice, and cheese. Covered in green sauce and guacamole. Beans and rice is a $6 extra. This burrito is pretty large. It was plated on the largest plate especially when you add the beans and rice. The burrito with then salsa verde was flavored and seasoned really well. Be ready to unbuckle a notch or two on the pants. You may need to be rolled out. Desserts: We shared the following. 1. Flan - 3.75 Stars - A really good Mexican flan. You can taste the Mexican vanilla bean and custard were cooked well and evenly. Sweeter than the Churros. Served w whipped cream and fruit. 2. Churros - 4 Stars - The freshly made churros were fried and covered in cinnamon, sugar, and served w dollop of fruit and whipped cream. 3. While I live within walking distance of the OG, foodcart location, and probably won't be visiting this one very often: I am so proud of them for finally have a brick and mortar location! I know it's something they've been working hard on for a while now. This is my favorite type of restaurant, one that is near-mythical in how hard it is to find: it's actually a secret BBQ joint. What do I mean? I mean it's a place that cooks meats with care, low-and-slow, for the purpose of making amazing tacos and burritos. More places like this, please!
