Easy parking out front. Fast and polite service. Delicious food. Highly recommend the 3 option entrée.

Happy Cinco! When it comes to the Mexican food scene in Anchorage, some specialize in food, while some specialize in margaritas/tequila only. That leaves us with a small handful of places that do both Mexican food and drinks decently. Panchos Villa executes both well, in my humble opinion. Panchos Villa does a great job at handling their lunch rush. Waitresses are always welcoming and efficient. Food is consistently cooked to order, hot and flavorful. This visit, we had a serious language barrier when trying to inquire about available brews on tap. Even brew that we were told by the bartender, was on tap, was still brought to us in bottle form. Other than that small hiccup, still recommend Panchos Villa.

Service was poor and inattentive. Food quality is bad. It's on the side of tex-mex done poorly but not as bad as prison food. Definitely not authentic. Strong cumin tastes in everything accompanied by dry rice and sad refried beans. If you want decent tacos, taquitos or chiles rellenos this is not place.

Love this place, I've never had a bad experience. Staff is friendly food is good and drinks are strong and plentiful. This is a good place for a quick bite, dinner date, or even a date! With good company and the friendly staff the old building and windowless atmosphere make the experience all that more authentic and enjoyable! Favorite place for Mexican food in the state for sure!

Came across this spot while walking back to my rental house. I wanted a michelada and decided to try it here. The restaurant is very clean with a friendly atmosphere. I sat at the bar and even tho the bartender was not available to make my michelada the lady that greeted us was super nice. I did try a spicy Michelada different that what am used to but will try it again and maybe with some food.

I had the fried halibut on the appetizer menu, it was great. My husband had a combo plate, he was dissatisfied. He likes his Colorado green chili on his Mexican food. Have not been able to find green chili in Alaska. Lol! Service was good. Rating based on my husbands disappointment.

Food is good, but heads up they do charge the service fee for credit cards. So bring cash

The service was on point. They have a massive whiskey bar downstairs. They have an excellent menu of craft cocktails. They also have excellent mocktails. I will critique their bourbon selection only because they have a number of bourbons that are 18+ years old that they're trying to sell for Scottish and Japanese prices which are based on reality. Bourbon is not any good out of the barrel past 12 to 14 years. Corn is not the same as grains. The sugar is degrade and get dark after 14 years in spite of some companies selling some of their older swill, trying to get rid of it as premium. They were very nice. I gave the bartenders and recommendations of things that actually are worth that kind of money in the bourbon world. There was plenty to find that was not expensive and quite excellent. The only negative? The Host stand at the top of the stairs needs people who have more pleasant personality. How you greet people in the restaurant is absolutely imperative. It sets the tone for the whole meal. The whole experience. They seem to think that their job is to shoot people off because the restaurant is booked, but they do it in a manner that will make sure people don't come back. It's a little too New York curt. Smiling, and some good grace, would not hurt either of them. When they tell you, it's time to be seated, engaging people and making eye contact would certainly also help them look a little more human as well. Do make reservations. Otherwise, the wait time can be very long. Outstanding food! Absolutely worth passing through the gargoyles at the front door

First they said they were moving things around implying it would be a few minutes. 15 minutes later I went up and he said 5-10 minutes to wait. 15 minutes later still nothing and they tell me another 30-45 minutes and acted appalled that I had checked in. Not worth dealing with them so I left. Ambiance seemed great but ramen isn't worth rude staff so I left.
