Pretty good subs. I had the Marie sub with roast beef. Very Hefty sub! It came with a good amount of veggies too. I would have added some mayo to it but it still was good. I half sun comes with a ton of meat. I ordered this To Go but next time I will order inside. I can't wait to try the other subs too. read more

We are snow birds. So we are only here for a month. We found this little place last year and came back this year. They have excellent food and great prices. They have good customer service. If I lived around here I would patronize them on a regular basis. I had the roast beef sliders, really good and my husband had a turkey sub. They are not skimpy on their ingredients. Needed to grab a quick bit for dinner and swung into El Marie's. I have had their meatball sliders before and fell in love with the flavor, so decided to try the sub and it DID NOT disappoint. I got the large sub in order to have leftovers in the week to come. As always, the music was fantastic and just sets the mood while you enjoy the delicious food. Took a day trip through Centra Florida to Eustis and Mt.Dora. Had lunch here, I'm a Italian sub and calzone snob. This place was amazing, both items were some of the best I've had. Normally calzones are overkill and feel as if you are eating a tub of cheese. Not here. The calzones come in two sizes ( half and full I think). It was stuffed just the right amount. First time at the restaurant recently and the pizza was very good using quality ingredients and a thin flavorful crust. Service was somewhat marginal with waitress not very friendly seemingly indignant to any questions we had about the pizza or beverages. Case in point, after our meal was finished I asked if they would ever have beer or wine on the menu because nothing was on the menu. We felt like we were reprimanded for not knowing there were beer & wine beverages in an upright cooler that wasn't visible from our table. We've recently moved to the area and been on the hunt to find the best pizza close by. We haven't tried all of the local pizza joints yet, but we have tried most of them, and every time we try a new one, we always say " El Marie's is still better". We've only taken To-Go, but they are always friendly and quick to assist. The one and only thing I wish they had was a smaller order of bread and a mid-sized pizza. We're only 2 people, so 18" is huge and 10" is too small, either way. We're continuing to try other places, but so far, el Marie's is winning read more

Pizza has a crispy thin crust and many topping selections. Subs are also available. Customer service is primo. I personally like the calzones. Wish I could give this place 0 stars.. Went to go try this place, they said they were closed. We asked to use the bathroom. One lady behind the counter said sure! We went to go to the bathroom( not even 2 minutes later). Manager approaches us and said that if we aren't paying customers we can't use the bathroom. She then said we should've went to the park bathroom across the street. Mind you, we are two teenage girls in Central Florida we do not feel safe using those bathrooms. I ordered the dinner size geek salad - no ham, what I got was HUGE but it was just a pile of chopped, white parts of iceberg lettuce with a ring of tomatoes & a bunch of finely shredded cheese on top. Alsi I ordered the spanakopita. It was just greasy & salty, couldn't even taste spinach! When I placed the order, I told the guy my daughter wanted an order of cheesy bread & asked if they have that. I explained this was our 1st time there & she planned to make that her meal, with some dippy sauce on the side.He said yeah we can do that. Absolutely amazing service, and the BBQ Chicken Pizza we got was insanely delicious. Definitely one of the best pizza makers in all of Florida, if not the entire world. One thing I will say is that the BBQ Chicken pizza came with Blue Cheese dollops - normally I hate blue cheese - but this was so delicious I couldn't stop eating the pizza. I really suggest trying the blue cheese on the BBQ Pizza, not sure about the other ones but holy crap this was amazing. If you're skeptical just get it on half or quarter of the pizza to try it out, I bet you'll enjoy it even if you hate blue cheese normally. I want to personally thank the owners and the two or three people that were working when we stopped by a couple days ago with our kids and my fiancés brother, you guys are amazing. I Can honestly say that we haven't been to a place in a long time that exceeded our expectations 10 fold - this is one of this hidden gems in Florida. Great place, I live in Tampa and I am definitely already planning on going back to Eustis just for this. Plus it's right on the lake, can't beat taking a walk on the water right after some great pizza, or take it and eat a slice right on the water on the dock. Next time I'll take pictures! I have only been here once so far, but I definitely plan to go back. They were very friendly; I was just out of the hospital at the time and one of the owners (I think) chatted with me outside for a few minutes while I waited for my wife to bring our vehicle over after the meal. I ordered the calzone, which was terrific. It was $20, but so big that it went for two meals, so plan on either sharing it or taking some home like I did. They have pizzas, of course, and subs, which all look great, but it will be difficult for me not to get the calzone when I go back! It is located on Bay Street, near The Crazy Gator and the swimming pool. There is some outdoor seating available. I will try to post a few pictures after I go back!
