There's always that ONE person, but I think this restaurant is somewhat over rated. They are very stingy with sauce on their pasta dishes, their chicken is often overcooked, dry, chicken tenders pieces. I had the baked spaghetti which about 90% came home with me. When I cut the -mound- of pasta in half, the entire middle was JUST pasta. There was a little spash of cheese and sauce on top only. Overall very dry and not very flavorful. After receiving glowing recommendations, I tried the eggplant parm. Raised in NYS, I'm accustomed to authentic foods. Eggplant parm is supposed to be crispy, tender, cheesy & bubbly. This was a disgusting, poorly executed messy mess! What I received was thinly sliced eggplant with thick layers of breadcrumbs that had sauce poured on top then toasted with cheese. The bread it came with had way too much oil and seemed to have been toasted a few times...hence the oily feel & taste The eggplant was so chewy & couldn't be cut with a knife. We had a large pizza with 2 different halves. They don't normally do white and marinara halves, but weren't too busy on this Friday afternoon to accommodate us. The other two diners in our party split the lasagna and found the serving generous. They also really liked the garlic bread and ordered an extra side of this. My half of the pizza was the Stavros Deluxe and the toppings were very generous and of good quality. I also found the crust to be crisp despite being a thicker variety and it had a good flavor. I also split a Greek salad with my wife and the medium size was perfect for the both of us. Seating was comfortable, but our location was directly under the vents. We've been wanting to try this place for a while after hearing good reviews and finally made it there. It can be a difficult corner to get into if it's a traffic time of day. Two small outdoor areas but at least the one was full of smokers. When we entered we were told to sit anywhere. A couple came in after us and had drinks and placed an order before we had menus! My husbands garlic bread barely tasted like it had garlic on it and was hard. He also dislike the taste of his ravioli. We were staying at the Southern Palms Rv Resort and found out there was an Italian restaurant across the street. The sign was missing on the front of the restaurant so we weren't sure if we were at the right place. My wife and I got the Stavros Deluxe 10" pizza. The pizza was very good and some of the best we've had in a while. We also ordered garlic cheesy bread with marinara sauce. The bread was good and the marinara sauce was great! If you do order it keep in mind the marinara sauce is extra. The service were fast and friendly. read more

I actually really like their pizza. They have the basic toppings you would expect, but the crust is very good. I love their website that says their goal is to meet as strangers but leave as friends. I feel that the staff does try to emulate that sentiment. They are friendly, but not overly friendly to the point it gets weird. The place is always busy (that's a good sign, right?). But the staff is attentive as needed. They do have beer and wine. It is a cute place. Reminds me more of an Italian place than your general American pizza parlor which I think is great. My daughter was in town and was craving a good Greek salad. We decided to do delivery from Stavros. There wasn't an option in the app to ask for extra feta and ham, so we called them directly. They were so helpful, they just asked us for the name on the order and they would make sure we got them. The Greek salad was so good, and they had the extra items we requested. We devoured it. My wife's parents retired on Eustis and came here often. They're gone now but we live in Tavares and come often. Last Saturday we came and I ordered my usual, spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs. My wife had chicken parmesan with marinara sauce. They start you with garlic bread and Greek salads that have a ton of cheese, ham, and very good dressing. As usual, everything was delicious and we both took home half of our meals as they are very generous. Why would you thro a handful of cold mushrooms on an already cooked pizza? Maybe they forgot to include the mushrooms before putting it the oven. I am in town visiting my childhood best friend and she decided to take me here for our girl's night dinner. She loves pasta and raved about the marinara sauce. I am a gal that loves a classic like spaghetti and meatballs so that's what I ordered, and Stavros and Sons didn't disappoint! Everyone was so kind and friendly chatting with us, and garlic bread and pasta was so good. The portions were so generous I had ample leftovers to enjoy the next day. Most of the lighting is natural from the windows, which makes it uncomfortable. The only lighting they have is very minimal, could only imagine how dark it is once the sun goes away. I ate every bite (it's big) but so so good. The pizza was hot, cheesy & delicious. The 10" cheese pizza was enough for two & the half portion pasta w/meatball was also enough for two (have to split the meatball), but i wonder what a full portion must look like The best part was the sauce they used...yum!
