Food is so amazing- unlike any chain for baked pasta dishes, pie, or calzones- ingredients, seasoning and homemade sauces get a 10!!!

My daughter and I each had, by far, the WORST chicken parmesan subs that I have ever tasted. I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, wish I would have just stayed home, saved my money, and cooked my own lunch. Wow! Barely any chicken at all on these subs, and the chicken that was there was tough, dry, and chewy. There was also barely any cheese. The sauce had zero flavor. We basically paid for two plain sub rolls. Massive disappointment, and on Father's Day no less. I can't imagine we will ever return. read more

Ordered a pizza for pick up. It was ready in 25 minutes, and only one person was working. Apparently there was someone out delivering There is a small dining area with about seven booths. They do not have green olives. The pizza was good, but nothing special. I got a large pizza and they cut it into eight slices, but they were huge. read more

Ordered an XL pizza for take out, slow afternoon so the pie was ready in 15 minutes. The pizza was good but the mozzarella cheese definitely was not the best quality such as Grande Mozzarella. Aside from the pizza, this was my first time at the Eustis location and from my personal/professional observation being in the pizza business up north, this particular establishment is in bad need of a cleaning and make over. The lighting was extremely dim and dirty, especially in the kitchen area. Of course, low lighting will make dirt/soot/grease less conspicuous, and, harder to see dirt when cleaning, hopefully this isn't on purpose. My first impression was not a good one but unfortunately may be my last. I will go the extra miles to the Apopka location, much better, for my next pick up. Hopefully the owner will read this and make the necessary changes. As I understand food cost, Grande Mozzarella is not going to happen but a thorough cleaning with better lighting, should. Just a suggestion. read more

Again , Anthony's never lets me down. Didn't feel like cooking, needed a good calzone fix and the owner made me an amazing calzone and the garlic knots are ana big fresh no matter what time of day you order them. read more

Is one of my fav restaurants in this area.. Just a plain pepperoni pizza, best I've ever had. Want a calzone, awesome. I also really like their shells and cheese, their manicotti, and the chicken parm. Comes with an awesome little salad, and a garlic knot, also awesome. I don't know how this place gets a bad wrap! No it's no sophisticated, polished foodie spot, but both their Apopka and this location have THE BESSST pizza ever. I know when I start like making a low growl when I grab my first bite - things just got real! I usually grab the two slices lunch-add them pepperonis-includes a drink-and I add a side salad ($1.95!!) alll totals after tax still UNDER $10 !?! Yes! I actually love the low key and relatable waitresses at both locations. This time my server was Stephanie and she was absolutely great! I stuck around and had to do some work and she didn't ONCE give me the stink eye for "squatting" (server talk for "dayum why are you still here taking up my table?!" Lol I served for 10 years.. anywhooo..) XD Attentive and genuine wait staff, spectacular prices, annnnd (wait for it....) THE BEST PIZZA TO EVER FEED THIS HUNGER BEAST!? Placed my call in order and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. Arrived at the 30 minute mark and had to wait a couple minutes to pay. When I did I was told it would be another 10 minutes because they were running behind. 8 minutes later the guy cooking asked me what my order was (a large calzone and a large salad), he told me he was making it now and would be the next in the oven and it would be another 12 minutes. It has now been an hour since I placed my call in order and I still don't have my food. Sure hope it at least tastes good after having to wait so long. (They should have given a better approximation on how much time it would take if they are busy and only have one cook!) read more

Arggghh. Too bad. Also, the food tastes like shit. Overcooked pasta. Burned sauce. Oh my God. I feel bad for the server, honestly. The server was apologizing for the cook's incompetence. Don't make the same mistake as me and my family. The guy at the register is a customer service abortion. We sent back 2 of 5 meals, before we gave up. Honestly, how bad can food be cooked? Pizza was good, not great. I did really like the crust and the use of fresh mushrooms. Garlic knots were cooked very well but I thought they were lacking in their namesake, garlic! Could barely taste any. Alfredo sauce was okay, I thought the cheese in it was kinda chunky and overall a little bland. Would potentially come back to try it again. Best Italian food in the area. I come here almost every week and I am thrilled by the consistency of the food.

Let me admit it from the start. I'm from Brooklyn, which automatically makes me a pizza snob. Anthony's is the closest I've found to the real thing. For those who give the place a bad review, I say it's a pizzeria, which to me means that they serve pizza, heroes (I think they're called subs here) and a few pasta dishes tossed in, in case someone wants that. It's not a true "Italian restaurant," so don't judge it as one. (So far I haven't found one of those.) So, why only 4 stars? I have one complaint. I ordered a pizza. I did not order a religion. Please just give me a pizza, and skip the sermon printed on my receipt. I think it's very bad form to push your religion on your customers. Save it for church. I'm so disappointed in my latest visit to Anthony's. I preface this by saying I've eaten here multiple times in the past. I'm aware that many small businesses are struggling in our current pandemic climate. That said I should have known by the number of warning bells that my visit was doomed. One, the booth I sat in was second in the door and had visible dust on half of the table top (midway to wall) and not just a smidge. Second the server greeted me and while laying down the menu asked what I'd like to order....uh can I get one minute to look? I ordered tea, they don't have tea. I ordered a diet and I was delivered a soft drink NO ICE. No explanation and promptly walked away. I didn't see the server until my food (admittedly decent) was delivered and I asked for a glass of ice. The response was 'we don't have any our ice maker is broken as is everything else around here'. I went to the counter to pay and though both employees could clearly see me waiting to pay (no other patrons in the restaurant save me) I waited 5 minutes for one of them to come up and ring me out. One was on his phone the other was filling bottles of??? Needless to say service stunk and I wasn't given a heads up on the ice. I don't enjoy room temperature soda and definitely take ice. Their raid out service must be keeping them afloat their dine in service is not. read more

I don't understand how people think this place is bad! I got a slice of the VIP pizza and it was big and so tasty! My mom and aunt weren't sure about this place but the minute the food came they were in love! The people here are really nice and put work into their food. Would and will be coming again! read more

Was extremely disappointed!! My wife and I have been going to their Apopka location for years. Both the service and food we're always on point. We recently moved to the Mt Dora area and thought we wouldn't try this location. Big mistake that was!!!! The server Lauren was so unwelcoming...that should have been our first clue as to what was to follow. Raw garlic knots and burnt pizza! Worst service ever. Was not greeted. Person making pizza told me it would be 45 minutes for a slice and wings (despite restaurant being totally empty at the time). Then told me he could not give me the seasonings on the wings that I wanted. I've only been on the restaurant twice - both visits have been an epic fail! Rude. Would not return. read more

I absolutely love the pizza here! Sometimes I get a chicken cesar salad. Their cesar dressing is really good and I always get an extra container, it's that good. Their subs are pretty good too and moderately priced. read more

I actually broke down in the parking lot on my lunch break, so I decided to eat here. First of all, I asked how long it was going to be for a sub (as I didn't have much time) and I was given a rather irritated response and the cashier just acted aggravated for me even asking. So I ordered a steak and cheese sub. When I ate it, it had absolutely no flavor at all. The cheese, steak, mushrooms, and onions literally all tasted the same. It was completely tasteless. I will probably come back and give their pizza a try but their subs I would definitely not recommend. read more

I am a huge Pizza fan. We just moved here from up north and we have been looking for "Our Pizza Place". THIS is it. We ordered delivery for our moving-in day at our new house. The Pizza came as if it took a little bit of a hard left turn but the taste was delicious. We will be returning customers. Ordered 3 pizzas and an order of knots they insist you pay by credit card over phone ...and the order was going to take 45 min on a Thursday night at 7pm! This place needs to move into this century and offer some type of real service. I called another shop the price was less and 25 min. Oh and they let me pay cash when I got there. read more

Pizza is good just like the Apopka location, but the employees have always been quite short with us over the phone and in person. We always loved the Apopka location. I don't compare the two because this location needs to be the same, but their customer service is pretty awful in comparison to any other restaurant we order from. Especially since we are kind customers and only ever order a single pizza. It's not as if we have ever been difficult. Expect decent pizza when you go, but don't expect anything more. Such a shame considering we loved the Apopka location when we lived there and visited regularly. read more

Yes it's Xmas and things get busy! This place had only 2 tables full and only 2 people working, one making pizza and the other taking orders. You would of thought a 100 people rushed in when a table of six arrived lol. Very sad when we ordered 2 large subs and an order of fries and waited 25 minutes to get our subs, 35 minutes to get our very very soggy fries that we recieved as we both were finishing our sandwiches. The fries were not fully cooked and shinning with oil. We could not eat them. The waiter apologized to us( and get this).....told us he would take 15% off the fries and sanwiches lol. What a Freak Show for food and service. Sure won't be goin back there again. read more

Waited 45 minutes to get order incorrect on a Sunday afternoon with only 2 other booths filled and when asked about appetizer after 30min was told they were extremely busy. I was reassured appetizer would come out before meal however it came out same time. Meanwhile on TV was Forensic Files with graphic details of a murder of a decapitated an dismembered male body NOT exactly appetizing while trying to eat...waitress was not apologetic for messing up order or tried to expedite reorder. Food is good if you can actually get it. Only reason for 2 stars is food is good..strongly recommend carry out. read more

I had previously used Anthony's for delivery and been pleased with the food; however, I bought one of my friends a gift certificate for a present to use with her son who was visiting for Mother's Day. When I bought the certificate I intended for it to be used for delivery, so my friend could spend time with her son, but Anthony's did not inform me that gift certificate's could not be used for deliveries, and would not explain why they had this policy. So my friend and her son went to dinner there instead and experienced what can only be described as terrible. The service was horrible, the staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful, and really downright rude. They could not even enjoy the food, as the experience was so thoroughly distasteful. I am extremely disappointed and upset as I intended this to be a gift for my friend. I called to complain and was not offered anything other than a promise to get to the bottom of the situation. I won't be holding my breath for that one. Save yourself the trouble and go to Vincent's for good Italian with good service. Becky S. read more

I was absolutely disgusted with both the service and food at this location. I'm a regular customer at the Apopka location but have recently moved so I decided to try out this location which is now closest to me. Upon entering the restaurant which by the way only had one table occupied we were told to sit anywhere, the waitress approached us, lacking enthusiasm and any customer service skills, we got the impression we had bothered her. We ordered our beer and garlic knots. She delivered the beer a few minutes later garlic knots arrived at our table , which were very pale in color almost raw, not at all how we get them in APOPKA so we asked if they would let them get a bit golden. They were redelivered minutes later and we're eatable but not great. Then the pizza slices which we ordered were delivered and those we're burnt! That was it!, we asked for our tab and I will NOT EVER RETURN To THIS LOCATION nor will I recommend it. Too bad. read more
