    Street Fish Tacos

Wow. This is definitely a hidden gem. We got the Flautas de Camarôns. They are crispy, but not over cooked with tender shrimp and a delicious savory sauce with a perfectly balanced Chipotle mayo. Then fish tacos perfectly fried in deliciously seasoned dough with nice crunch from hard shell inside of soft shell with pico adding the perfect freshness (rice/beans not pictured but also hood). However!! The special combination caldo is one of the best things I've eaten. The broth (made with grouper) is so umami flavorful with just the right hint of spice and plentiful seafood. If its offered it's an absolute must try, as my best description is a hug in a bowl. It was huge, and I could not stop eating it. Then the fried plantains with dulcet is a perfect end to a fabulous meal. Their prices are extremely reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. Our server was also the chef so was able to provide extra details and information. This is not even mentioning the table salsa and chips which were also delicious with the salsa very fresh and refreshing.

We are staying at a local hotel before our flight in the morning and found this amazing restaurant on Yelp. WOW!! if you want authentic Hispanic food this is a place to go. They do not have a liquor license, but you can BYOB. Delicious food (and a lot of it!) Thank you to Jose for the wonderful food & conversation!

El Marro is a cute little spot with just a handful of tables to dine-in. The service was great, with both guys working being so friendly and attentive, but we weren't very impressed by the food. The complimentary chips and salsa were delicious and flavorful, but the beef tacos and chicken quesadilla were just okay... not bad but nothing great about them. They seemed kind bland, as did the sides of rice and refried beans.

El Marro is a quaint little restaurant in the Oakdale business district. As we entered, we were greeted promptly and both guys working were very friendly and attentive. They have a small dining area with about 6 tables. The lighting in the dining area is very bright, maybe could have a dimmer lighting. All the food came out very fast. We ordered the flautas for an app and they were delicious with the chipotle mayo for dipping and they were stuffed with shrimp. They had very good flavor. For our entrees, we got the steak burrito and the enchiladas. Both dishes were very filling and were very tasty. We are new to the area and glad we checked out this little gem in Oakdale.

Great food. The ambiance made us feel like home. It was very clean and the service was great.

I was excited that I stumbled into to this place. The menu looked great. I gave it s shot. I was not impressed. Greasy fried fish tacos. I could. ot really even eat any of this food. I never heard of greasy fried fish tacos. I most likely will not come back.

Great small authentic Mexican restaurant that was delicious and had excellent service. Definitely recommend!

The flan was tasty. Not too sweet.

Might be the best restaurant value in Pittsburgh. I had the Diablo shrimp and flan for dessert. Deceptively simple presentation with sophisticated taste. If I lived here, I'd be a regular. If you want to drink, BYOD.

Great service, AMAZING food! Do not walk, run here for an awesome meal! In the heart of Oakdale, you will not be disappointed.

Came in on a Thursday night for takeout. I was greeted immediately by the staff, as well as the bright decor and string lights. I ordered the quesabirria (order of 3). The man who took my order said it would be about 7-10 minutes, but I'd be surprised if it was more than 5 minutes. They were super quick! I drove right home, opened the container, and the food was still piping hot. The salsa picante on the side is amazing. The quesabirria was PERFECT. Juicy, flavorful, cheesy, delicious. The prices are very reasonable. I will be back! I have my eye on the chocoflan.

Great authentic Mexican. I always ask for their hot salsa instead of the regular. Great flavor.

There are openings inside the bar that connect to both restaurants, and the menu lets you order items from either spot, which makes it perfect if your group is craving different things! We started with the bao buns, which I've had before and they are always my go-to must order. Absolutely delicious every time! The dry ramen bowl was very good and came with a generous portion of chicken. They weren't able to add the fried egg and substituted a boiled egg instead, which was a little surprising and not what I had preferred for this dish, but the dish was still flavorful and good. The Texas burrito bowl was excellent -- fresh guacamole, steak, chicken and shrimp, and really great flavor throughout. Between the unique setup, the ability to order from two different restaurants, and the solid food, this is a fun spot that's definitely worth checking out!

I hate writing negative reviews, but people should know about our experience. I stopped at Los…read moreBajitos yesterday for a quick lunch by myself. Right from the start, things felt off. Instead of seating me, the employee pointed at a menu and told me to order. I started giving her my order, but she walked away in the middle of it and had another guy take it on a handheld device. I paid right then and there, which seemed a little odd for a sit-down restaurant, but I didn't think much of it. My chimichanga came out in what had to be three minutes or less. It was so fast that I couldn't imagine it was freshly made. Unfortunately, it tasted just as disappointing as it looked. It was incredibly bland and had an almost chemical taste to it. I kept trying another bite, hoping it would get better, but it didn't. I finally gave up after just a few bites. The restaurant itself didn't help my appetite. The silverware looked dirty, the music was blasting, and the whole place just felt grimy. While I was eating, an older couple came in to order takeout. They were told they could only place an order online. The woman looked at me and said, "I guess we can't eat here then because I don't know how to do that." I ended up bringing the rest of my meal home, and my 16-year-old son ate it. Over night, he became terribly sick with severe gastrointestinal symptoms that we believe were food poisoning. He's never experienced anything like that before. I only ate a couple of bites myself, and looking back, I'm glad I stopped when I did. After all of this, I looked up the restaurant and saw that it had received a health inspection score of 80 not long ago. I've rarely seen a score that low, and after seeing the conditions inside and what happened afterward, it made me even more concerned. Needless to say, we won't be back. This was a really disappointing experience from start to finish, and I would encourage anyone thinking about eating here to do a little homework first.

Im actually from where the original is located in VA beach so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that there was one located here. I usually get the Pina Loca and share it with my boyfriend. Its pineapple, chicken, steak, peppers and onions all cooked inside the pineapple with queso. Its sooooo good! Plenty to share and it comes with a side of rice. The service is always quick and friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant itself has PLENTY of seating and a huge parking lot for everyone to park. It's always a constant and stable good time whenever I go here. Quick to sit and the waiters are always friendly. Plus it helps it has cute decor on the inside too!

Their ground beef now has more carrots & potatoes than beef (tho these ingredients are NOT listed on the menu). The seafood mix used in the chimichangas, enchiladas, etc. now has more celery than seafood. Sometimes when you order something without onions they say okay, then bring it with onions. And you find out that you can't get that item without Indians anymore (even tho you've had it without onions before), but they didn't tell you. I'm not allergic to onions, so it hasn't even dangerous, but I know people who are allergic to them. It's dangerous. The taco salad has almost no lettuce tonight, but that seemed like a tonight issue, not a general menu change. Tonight, I ordered the al pastor nachos without beans & pico with jalapeños on the side. I was asked if I wanted the sour cream. I said it doesn't have that. He said it did. The guacamole was on the menu. Sour cream was not. I got it on the side so I could give that to my fiancé with the jalapeños. But what if he hasn't asked? It's not on the menu, so I couldn't have known. When I got my nachos, there were a TON of onions. There were no onions listed on the menu. I'm not allergic, but I didn't want them and they were very annoying to pick out. They were everywhere and covered with cheese. Allergies can send people to the hospital. I wouldn't feel safe going there with anyone who has any food allergies. I can't trust them to put the ingredients on the menu. It's close to Costco, which is why we keep giving it more tries, but we're continually disappointed by a restaurant we used to like. There's no great Mexican food here for someone who lived in SoCal for a long time, but the used to be passable. Now, I'd recommend you avoid it. Our waiter actually told me there weren't carrots in the empanadas, but there was a language barrier. The other waiter came and explained they were in the mix. I like carrots, but not cooked carrots. And don't want meat that is mostly potatoes & carrots. They said the chicken doesn't, but 100% of the time I've tried the chicken, it's been way overcooked. The layout and decor hasn't changed and service is typically still fast (tho not tonight) & friendly. Definitely staying away for a while.

The fact is, I couldn't taste any tequila and had to pay for an extra shot just to make it resemble a margarita. I watched them order two lime margaritas, and I watched one shot of tequila go into the blender for both drinks. If you believe otherwise, check your security cameras and your sales records. I'm not in the habit of leaving negative reviews, and I certainly don't lie. I order margaritas regularly at many restaurants and have never had this issue before.
