Good Mexican restaurant. We've heard good things about this place over the years and always wanted to try it. This is the first time here and we'll definitely be returning. The Service was exceptional and Javier took good care of us. We had the Seafood Quesadillas, very good with large shrimp. Really underwhelming. Complimentary chips and salsa were great. I had the vegetarian enchiladas for my entree, which were filled with spinach. I thought this sounded good but the filling was really bland. The enchilada sauce was good, so they would've been decent enchiladas if the spinach had just been seasoned. I did really like the refried beans. I got the piña colada cake for dessert and I also had regrets about this one. The cake was kind of dry but would have been passable had it not been drizzled with chocolate syrup which I didn't think went with the pineapple coconut flavour and kind of drowned it out. Fun atmosphere here, but I have definitely had better Mexican food in this area. The staff were nice but they were busy and it was hard to get anyone's attention when we wanted to order dessert and then pay. read more

We really liked that all meals include unlimited free chips, salsa & sweet spicy ranch sauce with dine-in. (Other places are starting to charge.) So far, my husband and I have eaten lunches and dinners at this restaurant several times. The employees have always provided very prompt and very courteous service. The decor looks nice, and seating is available in the dining room and at the bar. For our most recent meals, we ordered cheese dip, nachos Santa Fe (chicken-steak), chicken tacos, a quesadilla fajita, a steak fajita, enchiladas verdes (chicken), carne asada, a quesadilla vegetarian, tilapia, pina-colada cake, sopapilla, fried ice cream, a strawberry margarita, etcetera. Had a craving for enchilada's one day last month so I tried Tequila Jalisco on Route 8 in Richland. I ordered takeout and it was ready when promised. The prices are very reasonable there. The service was fast and efficient. Most mportantly, the chicken enchiladas were very good. I will go back in the future. read more

Been our go to for Mexican for a couple years now. First things first the staff is amazing. They always treat us like family. They stop by to say hello, and it doesn't really matter who our server is. Everyone is there to make the evening fun and memorable. As far as Mexican food goes, I would say it's by far the best in the area. food always comes out super prompt, hot and delicious! The space is quite large. There's only been one or two times they couldn't seat us right away. And in that case we've just sat at the bar - which is always fun! Speaking of bar - great drinks from house margs to more specialty cocktails. And all around the menu is well priced. read more

I enjoyed my initial visit to Tequila Jalisco, which came highly recommended by local relatives. The menu is large-a lot of beef options and some vegetarian but didn't see many chorizo, al pastor or other meat varieties. The La Cazuela (#37) I ordered had a decent steak and good shrimp served on a fajita plate, covered in a cheese sauce. Served with flour tortillas, rice and beans, both of which were tasty. The accompanying "cold plate" of lettuce, sour cream, one small half tomato slice and a dallop of guacamole were fresh but could have been more substantial. Their drink menu is extensive and their draft beer choices include a huge 26 oz glass as a "large". Service was friendly, but we had to ask to order everything except drinks, which were mentioned at each visit to the table. I'll try it again in the future. read more

My meal consisted of chile relleno made with soggy, "past their prime" poblano's covered in the typical scrambled egg batter and then fried in rancid oil. A standard, "American" beef taco in a restaurant like this should not look and taste WAY WORSE than something from the Taco Bell drive thru. Our friend had a grisly, fatty, poor quality steak topped in greasy chorizo. My husband had a TINY chimichanga which was also fried in old oil, retained all of the rancid cooking grease and was barely crisped and brown. Our other friend had the mixed fajita which only looked passable to her after a few overpriced shots of tequila. The server was nice (albeit new) and the host did seem to try but I won't be back. read more

My mother and I went here Saturday 12-20. Ordered chicken fajitas. They weren't anything to jump up and down about but they were good. Wish there was a bit more protein on the skillet instead if was dominated with the sautéed veggies. The thing I'll give this place not only is the speed of service, but the cleanliness. I love Mexican Food so much and could easily eat it daily. Sadly, in Pittsburgh, it's hard to find simple, authentic Mexican Food. Thankfully, I finally found the best (and I don't take that lightly after trying tons of Mexican Restaurants in Pittsburgh). My husband and I wanted to try something new to us and I am so glad we tried Tequila Jalisco. I wanted try most things on the menu. They all sounded so good. I settled on the Tapatio, which looked and smelled absolutely amazing when they brought it to the table. It has all my favorite things. It is grilled chicken smothered in chorizo and queso with a side of refried beans and rice. OMG! It is one of the most delicious things that I've eaten. The chicken was tender and well seasoned. The chorizo and queso were so flavorful and unbelievable. I still dream about it. My husband had the pollo loci (grilled chicken and onions). He always orders anything chicken and really enjoyed it because it was so well seasoned. He also loved the rice. The staff including the owner Manny were all so happy, friendly and provided such excellent service. They were on top of everything. You never had to beg for anything. We had a nice chat with Manny. He's so sweet, personable and takes a lot of pride in what they're doing. It really shows in all they have accomplished. I told my mom all about it and said she has to check it out. I'm very surprised at how delicious the food was! I was expecting kind of average burritos, but these were great. The prices are also super reasonable and the portions are absolutely huge. I tried their bean burrito and shredded beef burrito, as well as the complimentary chips with salsa. The bean burrito was very good. As mentioned, both burrito portions were huge. The inside was super creamy and had a fantastic flavor profile. They topped it was a bit of cheese on the outside, too, but that wasn't overwhelming at all. Not too oily either. The beef burrito was also very good. I will say, the meat was a tad bit tough. But, for the price, this really can't be beat. It was seasoned pretty well and had a more than adequate amount of meat packed in there. Decent, but pretty average, tortilla. The complimentary chips are always nice. They gave a large bag, and the chips themselves were crispy and well made. The salsa was somewhat mediocre and watery, though. All in all, I am very satisfied with this meal. I would recommend ordering from the a la carte section if you are on a budget. Super tasty, fresh, great portions, and great price. read more

We brought our kids on a Friday night and will definitely be back. House salsa has a hint of smokiness, making it interesting without coming on too strong. Very happy with the enchiladas in molé I had. House margarita was excellent, tequila-forward but very balanced between citrus and sweetness. Don't waste your appetite or $$ here! We are experienced home chefs, travelers and foodies at heart. Everything we eat & make is from scratch. I'm giving you an honest, very experienced opinion. This place was mediocre at best. Friends asked us to meet them here, we were very disappointed. Anything that was fried had the taste of overused fryer oil. Our friend ordered the steak & chorizo #54 and the steak was mostly gristle / fat. My chiles rellenos must have been frozen or made with old peppers. The fried chimichangas were not crispy, the beef was decent but not worth the $$. Guacamole was old and turning brown. You can easily find far better and more authentic Mexican food at a better price. Anyone that tells you this is good quality Mexican doesn't know what they're talking about and probably hasn't even tasted an authentic taco in their life. For a more authentic experience try Tepache in Cranberry for example or Hot Taco in Evans City. read more

I've been here a handful of times and each time has been great! It's very exciting when a non chain sets up shop in Gibsonia and this place hits the mark! It's a classic Mexican restaurant and it's great! The food is good, the staff/service is fast and friendly, and you get a lot of food for the price. My personal favorite is the fajitas--you can't go wrong with that! I've had various other menu items and it's all been good. As well, they have a great drink menu. My favorite is the Italian margarita. It is definitely pretty sweet so be warned. The regular margaritas are great as well. This place can get pretty packed on the weekend so come early if you don't want to wait a little. Glad to see a new business doing well in the area. We will keep coming back! read more

We definitely enjoyed the chips and salsa, and had a few other things also. We had cheese dip, a taco salad and the arroz con pollo. The cheese dip was reasonably priced and plenty for two people. The portioning was great for a lunch size. The staff worked well as a team. They made sure we had anything we needed to drink or eat and we never needed to look for them.
