Haven't been here in awhile, so I stopped by for lunch. I walked in and the staff jumped to attention, got me seated, brought my drink and got my order lickety-split. AND they were professional and pleasant while doing it, too. My food looked (surprise of all shocks) EXACLY like the picture in the menu and was delivered in record time. Also, it was delicious! I ordered the quesedilla and it was far and away better than any mere taco joint quesedilla and may be the very best I ever had! The price was the same as aforementioned taco joint but the quality was Orders of Magnitude above! I may have to make this one of new favs. read more

I love this place! For a small town, this is great! It gives fast, speedy service. The waiters/ waitresses are really kind. The food is great, I recommend the tortilla soup, cheese dip, & (puffy) Sopaillas. I can't drink, but my friends love the margaritas! THE MOST AMAZING MARGARITAS I HAVE EVER.ever.EVER HAD. I live in Denver and dream about this place. The basement by the bar is where its at. Ask for the strong top shelf margaritas, I swear its worth every cent. Mix the green & regular salsa together. Order the Chef Special (Chicken, rice and queso - that's it, don't worry I was skeptical about this too). The service is amazing, the food is great the margaritas are award winning. read more

Had an awful cashier today who raised his voice for no reason and ruined my food as well as not giving us all that we ordered. Won't be going there again I'd rather go to Los Mariachis where the people are actually nice. read more

By far my favorite local restaurant. Such an amazing atmosphere with amazing staff. They are always so friendly. Veronica is the best waitress I've ever had at any restaurant. We go often enough that she has our orders memorized including the fact that I don't want the vegetables or pico. She even makes a point to speak to us if she's not our waitress. The managers that have been there a while know me by name and often ask how work is going and remember where I work. The food is amazing but the wonderful staff makes everything so personal and really care about their customers! read more

El Mazatlan is just sort of gross in my opinion. Nothing is fresh, everything is super greasy, and it's not very authentic. The service is typically very quick, which could be seen as a good thing, but sometimes it seems like they're just rushing to get you out even if they don't have a crowd. There is nothing special about this place. There are much better Mexican restaurants in town if you're really wanting a good meal! But hey, different strokes for different folks I guess... read more

Get the shrimp fajitas, really tasty! Also the queso as a side is amazing on everything. We were in town having a hard time finding a place to eat and stumbled on this place. Great find especially for being so far from home and not sure where to go. read more

We were passing through Glasgow and saw the sign. We have visited the Cave city location very often and love it so stopped in here. Nice and clean. Fast seating and server arrived quickly taking order. Coors beer with a frozen mug, and a Margarita on the rocks, Fajita mixed double order and cheese dip. He loved his beer as when he poured into the mug beer crystals formed on the top very different and he said it was a nice surprise. However my margarita was served in a beer mug. That I did not like. It tasted fine. Our cheese dip never arrived before our food was served. The fajita were good not great, the seasoning was bland very little flavor and some chewy beef strips. Server passed by after awhile asking how it was we said we did not get out cheese she apologized and left bringing back the cheese. It was simple white cheese that was not as enjoyable being after our food. It is a good place overall. read more

El Mazatlan is a very wonderful Mexican Restaurant and a great asset to Glasgow. The service is always excellent and the food is always cooked to perfection. My favorite dish is the Burrito California Style. This burrito is large as the plate and has the perfect spice with each bite. read more

UN-AMERICAN RESTAURANT! My family and I ate at El Mazatlan in Glasgow, Ky at 11:00 Central on June 26, 2014, mostly to watch the World Cup qualifier between the U.S.A. And Germany. When Germany scored the lone goal, many of the workers cheered loudly and celebrated the American setback. If this had been a game between team Mexico and team U.S.A., I would have understood (I guess) celebrating American misfortune. Given that team Mexico had no dog in the race, so to speak, there was absolutely no reason to take pleasure in American misfortune except for the fact that their actions revealed an undercurrent of racism against the hosts of their new country. My point is that if there is such dissatisfaction at this restaurant towards the patrons who essentially pay their salaries and contribute to their profits, perhaps they should cater only to like-minded customers, (i.e., fellow Mexicans who lack appreciation for what a great country America is) . I, however, will choose to stay out of this hostile environment while suggesting that its workers might want to return to the friendly confines of their own country where they can cheer how they wish without offending those who support them. Oh, yeah, the food was good for a typical "all food comes out of three pots Mexican restaurant." Nice decor. Go back to Mexico if you can't stand Americans. read more

The Especial de Mazatlan was delicious (and came in a huge portion size - three of us couldn't finish the double portion size). The server was super friendly as well. My friends and I are traveling from DC and this was a great place to stop for dinner. read more

Absolutely the worst service I've ever experienced. The little Mexican girl got our order wrong, couldn't understand English. They kept bringing out food to my wife hoping it was the right thing. I mean, if you don't understand English, then it's probably best to not put her out there waiting tables. Absolutely ridiculous. read more
