The Magic Duel is just that...two Magicians competing to win the title of best of the night. You…read moredo actually vote on your phone at intermission. Mark Phillips and Ryan Phillips were both terrific. The one we voted for did indeed win, but they were both great! The Saturday we were there, there were two performances. We chose the 5pm one. It's a fast-paced show that kept us laughing, intrigued and highly entertained. A very fun, wonderful way to spend entertainment dollars in DC. Not a bad seat in the house! This is downstairs in the historic Mayflower Hotel, nice and close to the Farragut North Metro Stop. Definitely appropriate for all ages. Highly recommend!

I recognize that the Magic Duel takes huge pride in 5 star reviews on Yelp, which I deeply respect. But I did wish that we had seen the show in a different venue. I am no stage expert, but lights and sound do matter a lot in delivery of a magic show for a skeptic like me, going because the significant other loves magic shows. With better lighting, things would have been more "magical" (thinking bottles.) I was also surprised that a bubble artist, as good as she was in her profession, was considered a magician. After some quick research, you will end up at Magic Duel in this genre, so please go to Dupont or Georgetown.

Wonderful art school!…read more My two younger daughters attend this school and it's just perfect! They always bring home a masterpiece! They also always come back with a smile on their face telling me the fun they had and how nice the teachers are. I also am SUPER appreciative of the director allowing them to come in 2 hours early to work on their project they were excited on top of that they already had they're original two hours so in total got double the time in their class! The teachers are super flexible! My daughters said"They are always okay with whatever you want and are always there to help no matter what!". I could really see the improvement in their art after just a while of them doing this!

They all expressed their experiences in their own words; see below: Cousin's Art Studio Session "I really liked it, it was fun! I would rate it a 11/10!" - Semekor, Grade 7. "Hi, Aunty Afedziwa, I really like the art place you took us to, and my favorite part was when we did the oil pastelling. I really like oil pastelling. It was fun. Thank you for letting us be there." - Abigail, Grade 4. "Fantastic! It was really good because I like to draw and color. It was creative, because it was a D-shaped cat, and I'd never drawn a cat like that before."- A Second Grader. "Good! I liked drawing, I got to paint the background." - A Kindergartener, age 5. "I loved it. It was fun making the cats with the patterns, beautiful colors, and ombrés. I enjoyed spending time with the cousins. I really love art. Thank you!" - Elijah, Grade 4. "I loved it! I liked spending time with my cousins, making new friends, and making cat art. It was amazing! - Anayah, Grade 2. Adriel's Opinion (2 years old, Narrated by his Mom.) She asked him, "Adriel, do you remember the art event that you went to with your cousins? You were with Josiah, and Abigail, ... and you got to do some artwork! How did you feel about that? What did you think of it?" The moment Adriel was reminded of the event, his eyes brightened and a huge smile spread across his face. He just giggled as if reliving the fond memories of the day. He truly enjoyed it, and his parents will be framing his work--his first official piece of art! "Yaaaaayyy!!! Huge success!! A must "re-do" experience for sure!" - Elijah and Anayah's Mom "Thanks for giving them this memorable experience. " - Echoed by all the parents.

The reason I gave two stars is because the employee who had the same name as the other guy but worked the mid shift was a complete A-hole. It took me like 25 minutes to log into a game because nothing was updated. I asked him to credit my account ( which normally they do out of courtesy with games not being updated ) he refused. I spoke to him after adding more money that we were just going to go home and he refused to cut off or add more time. He actually gave me a huge attitude like I was asking him to slap his own momma. At one point I was trying to buy an energy drink and he went missing for a solid 10 minutes. Also I was mid game and there's only one warning before your entire game shuts off. Besides this kid Who ruined my time, the computers are nice. Erik the owner has reached out and since then has taken care of a customer who will be back! The best part about is whenever I come back I always go with a few friends. Thanks again Eric!

If you have a tournament to play or you just want to hang out with friends or kill some time at any hour, give it a try! It's not super expensive and there's Korean snacks, energy drinks, and packaged ramen + a microwave so you can decide whether it's worth it for you compared to gaming at your home setup.
