Yep! Did you decide to go into the store instead and need to turn it into a shopping list telling you which aisle and section it is located in? Yep! Honestly, it is fantastic. Next, it is employee owned. Everyone inside seems to care about making you a happy customer because they own a stake in it. Lastly, this place is massive! I can't rally explain to you how massive. It is 242,000 square feet of groceries. For scale, that is 15 commercial Boeing 737 jetliners inside or 395 full sized semi trucks or the entire New York City Central Park Zoo! It has every food you could imagine with every gluten free, keto, and zero sugar option my family craves. Want that Mountain Dew Voltage raspberry soda you thought was long gone? Yep! Want those Keto ice cream bars that taste better than standard ice creams? Yep! You got a customer for life. Well done!

It's a food emporium, with tons of aisles and plenty of choices. Was surprised they didn't have any manned stations (meat, deli, and fish usually have someone there with fresh products). This place just has more aisles. And while we might have one or two cases of a specific type of item, you got full aisles. And not just one aisle, but multiple. And many different brands and types. It's impressive to say the least. The discover only for card payments was a little weird. But not an issue since they take cash. Price was fairly reasonable as well. The weekly specials are constantly marked on the shelves, but when you get to checkout, the discounts "never seem to apply." It's frustrating and feels misleading. When I've asked staff about the pricing discrepancies, I've been met with dismissive and rude responses instead of helpful customer service. Rather than correcting the issue at the register, I'm told to go stand in line at customer service for a refund. Unfortunately, the representatives there have also been unfriendly and unprofessional, like they are doing you a favor. On top of the poor service, the prices in this store are outrageously high compared to other grocery stores in the area. Between the inaccurate sale pricing, the attitude from employees, and the overall experience, this location has been by far one of the worst grocery stores I've dealt with. THE WORST! Very disappointing. This was strike 3. I will not spend one more dollar at this store.

They also have an amazing deli counter with probably the best pricing around. With good pricing, their cold cuts turn over quickly so you know you are always getting something fresh. While they used to be the least expensive store for just about everything, we've also seen their prices climb over the years. But compared to the large grocers in the area like Jewel, they are much less expensive. Shopping at Valli can be fun - you'll see things you've never seen before. Lots of people shop there so also be prepared for lines at their checkout counters. But, it's all worth it.

Jewel is expensive - with stores like Aldi nearby, if you simply need staples, it's much less expensive to go elsewhere. What I do like about Jewel is it is convenient, they have a nice produce department as well as meat and fish counters. More so, being both dairy and gluten-free, they always have something there I can get, whether frozen or boxed. Often, I'll strike up conversations with employees. I've only had one tell me they truly enjoy working there. But, they do offer jobs to people who need them, and I often see differently abled people working the registers, bagging, or cleaning. I find that they hire differently abled folks refreshing and raises my rating a little.

Their TV commercials talk about their great prices. I agree the items we saw on sale tended to be bargain, but the rest of the store seemed high. They are probably less expensive than Jewel, but more expensive than Valli Produce. We did get a lot while we were there and the total price was higher than we expected. So, overall, if you check their website for items on sale and you are near to a Woodman's, then by all means, the value is great. But if you don't live close to a Woodman's (like me), they aren't a great value but do have lots of specialty items.

They are inconsistent in their stock - often gaps appear where something is out of stock. They also don't make it easy to find items where there are special needs, such as finding gluten-free items. Where they do have them, they are not localized in one area like you would find in other stores. We went in for a specific gluten-free item and just couldn't find it. We asked someone who works there and they said they didn't know where it was - that it could be anywhere. Regardless, I am usually able to find most of what we need. The discounts they apply to Amazon Prime members really helps, too.

We noticed 4 notable differences from the Morton Grove store which has served our needs pretty well given the Prime membership discounts that we realize. The most important one, and one the wife noticed, is that the prices here are more competitive than in Morton Grove. We surmised that was just due to the presumably stiffer grocery competition in Schaumburg. A second difference is the produce department has more offerings. A third difference is they have a Krispy Kreme stand here for what that's worth. Finally, a fourth difference is the temperature in here is actually reasonable and comfortable as opposed to the usually frigid conditions in Morton Grove lol. Overall, a pretty nice Amazon Fresh, and thumbs up.
