Fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned meat, and authentic flavor in every bite. Some of the best tacos we've had in the area. THE BEST PUPUSAS IN THE AREA! I have been seeking the best pupusas in Manassas and TY2 wins HANDS DOWN. I crave them weekly. The tacos are also delicious. The food is EXCELLENT. The only critique (and one-star deduction) I have is on the wait times. My husband and I arrived with no one there. They told us 10 mins. We got our food 50 mins later. We have never gotten our food under 30 mins. They could either staff up a bit or set realistic wait times - that is the only slight negative. Their menu offers tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas, plate options, house specialties (such as pollo a la plancha, el que me vez, volcan, etc.), pupusas, soups, and tamales. We came here for a later lunch, and we ordered: +al pastor tacos +carnitas tacos +carne asada tacos +cheese pupusas (queso) +beans with cheese pupusa (frijol con queso) +corn tamale +green tamale +chicken tamale I thought the tacos and the tamales were just okay - standard, street-style tacos, generously-filled over doubled-up corn tortillas, while the tamale had a standard ratio between the masa and the filling. I did, however, enjoy the pupusas, as they do make it right here! They were filled generously with cheese but griddled so perfectly - they had the perfect amount of crispiness around the edges and were super tasty! Staff here are super friendly, and there are a handful of tables that are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Inside the Fresh World grocery store and tucked in the back, Taqueria Yazmin has some of the best tacos in the area. There is a little dine-in area with tables you can use to eat there and they also do carryout (protip: phone ahead). The carne asada tacos are so juicy and flavorful, you'll be finishing off the plate and licking your fingers wondering if you should order more. They also do birria tacos as well which I need to try next time. You get the standard green and red salsas but the owner also has a special salsa (kinda like a pico de gallo) that's his dad's recipe which complements the other sauces very well. read more

This place doesn't look like much but it is packing a ton of flavor. I really enjoyed my al pastor and carne asada taco. I ordered to go for no particular reason so I am going to assume that is why the carne asada turned out the way it did in the photo. That didn't stop me from devouring everything anyway! For an area with a large hispanic community the latin food has been a bit disappointing until today. I will be back for some more of that piping hot al pastor! read more

When I saw the rotating meat, I knew I had to get their tacos . I ordered the al pastor and suadero and both were amazing. The suadero was so tender and meaty, full of flavor. The al pastor was juicy and sweet, with the the perfect pineapple slice added to it. Both tacos were fresh, and warm. The owner was also very nice and told me to come back and try some more. Everything was very good! 4 stars because the location is not ideal, but I know that has nothing to do with the service or the food. Often, when you think you've found a great place, you're disappointed the second time around. Not the case with this wonderful hidden gem, tucked in the back of an international grocery store (which is a gem in of itself). Absolutely delicious. Don't be fooled by the fact that it's located in a grocery store, this place is a must if you're a taco lover. The al pastor tacos and torta have so much flavor. You can really taste the annatto, and the meat is cooked to perfection. So crispy and flavorful. The lengua and chorizo are also tasty. My partner enjoys the menudo- it definitely packs some heat, but again, wonderful blend of spices. You can really tell they care about the food here. So do yourself a favor and check it out. (I also spied some Birria tacos on the specials menu- next time I'm definitely trying those because if everything else is good... that can only mean one thing!) Great menu, selection, prices. Service was polite and prompt. You order at the counter and pay. They were slow bc it was right before closing, and nice enough to bring it out to me at the table where I sat with my son. I ordered pastor, asada, lengua, and pollo. They were all fantastic, but the lengua was a little disappointing, however, it was not bad. The salsas were delicious with great heat levels, but if you're not used to spicy foods, they may be a bit hotter than what you'd like, but I definitely recommend trying them both. Lots of cilantro, lime, and radishes, which for me is also a plus. The onion was there, but not overwhelming. Generous with the pineapple on the pastor, which I loved. All in all, great little spot, and definitely recommend going out of your way if you need to. You remember scene in Disney's Ratatouille where the food critic (Anton Ego) bites into the Ratatouille made by Remy and the flavors cause a flashback to his childhood? The Menudo this place is a little bit like that.... This shop was set up in the back of Fresh World market in December 2017, and after eating here with my wife for the first time, I made it my mission to make sure the Yelp community knows about this literally hidden gem. I was blown away by the quality of the ingredients used here. That's gotta be the benefit of setting up shop in a place known for its fresh produce and great selection of fresh meats. The Menudo was classic southern Mexican Menudo. Spicy broth, fresh tripe, and beef feet came together harmoniously in our bowl. They were then accompanied by freshly chopped cilantro and onions.... hominy available upon request. We also had a few tacos: Asada, Pastor, and Lengua. A spicy (red) chicken tamal, and a pupusa to round everything out. The Carne Asada and Pastor tacos were clear stand-outs. If you enjoy tacos or Menudo, you HAVE TO give this place a try. What a great find! I went into Fresh World and made a beeline for the taqueria. It's located right next to the meat section at the back of the store. I ordered the al pastor, suadero, campechanos, carnitas, and carne asada tacos and a cheese and pork papusa. The gentleman who took my order was very nice. Often times, I find that most places have meat that's over cooked or too dry in their tacos. But this place was different; the meats were juicy! They were topped with a good amount of cilantro and onions and they also had a side of charred scallions. My only complaint is that since I ordered my food to-go, all five tacos were squished together into one to-go box and we didn't know which taco was what. They had a red and green salsa, both were okay, nothing spectacular. The papusa I had was very good, wish I would've ordered a few more. However I didn't care for the slaw that it came with. The slaw was very bland, there was no pickling or salt or much flavor to it. Definitely recommend this place! And it was such a great price. read more

By far the best tacos I've had in va/md/dc. They're super nice here and the food is really good. Owner says all the recipes are from his father's restaurant in Mexico City... so the flavors are legit and you can really taste the difference. This little "grocery store resturaunt" is an incredible find. We tried three different tacos and 2 different pupusas. And I wanted to go back for more. Best tacos al pastor I've had in the states, hands down. Food is incredibly authentic, and they speak English inside (although I spoke Spanish with them on the phone, cause English might not have been as easy). Staff is incredibly nice and we chatted while my food was coming out. I only got chorizo and al pastor tacos, but I can't wait to get more and especially give those tortas a try! Prices for the DC area are incredible! It's not necessarily in the best part of town, so take out if you can; so worth it, though!!! read more
