3. Burrito California Lunch SpecialCalifornia

Wow: this place deserves more five star reviews! We weren't sure what we were walking into but this place did not disappoint. Service was top notch- staff were very friendly and food was quick and fresh. For picky little eaters, they even had chicken nuggets on the menu. I appreciated their willingness to modify the California burrito for me. It was so good! Definitely recommend- you won't be disappointed. Definitely a great 'hole in the wall' surprise.

We tried to come here at 8 pm on a Wednesday. All lights were off and not open even though it said open everywhere :/

On our road trip we needed some dinner and had a hankering for some Mexican take-out. This place was close to our hotel. The order was ready within 15 mins - very fast. They threw in some chips and salsa but unfortunately the chips tasted stale. Though the salsa was good. The cheese enchilada dinner was solid and pretty tasty. Though the portion was smallish it was inline with the reasonable price. The refried beans had some heat. They also has a small side salad with some avocado on it which was a nice touch. The chicken burrito was good though the cheese sauce was just OK- the green sauce would have been enough. Overall a decent choice.

Kinda low end. Food wasn't great. 2 star fajitas. Fajitas are hard to screw up. But they did it. The cheap canned pineapple was so over cooked it was gross. And an entire can of it. Seeing as Nashville looks like a border town, I was expecting a lot better.

My wife ordered the Grilled Shrimp Platter which was incredible infusion of different cut vegetables and the sauce served was outstanding! Rice and beans were fantastic. The rice tasted like a risotto and it was so tasty. I ordered the fish taco with flour tortilla and it came with different spiced spread and sauces. It was pan fried. I absolutely loved the crunchy corn taco with shredded beef. I will definitely be back with my wife again!

We had two watermelon a mango and a mezcal margarita. They were great. The waiter recommended the watermelon as a favorite and he was absolutely right. The mezcal margarita eas mine and it was deliciously smoky. For the meals this is where i knock a star off because overall the tacos were good but I wouldn't say it was overwhelmingly great. My fiancee and dad got the birria tacos they did a pretty good job. I got the skirt steak i believe and it was ok. Tender but not too flavorful. Tasted more just like beef. I believe its marinated but i didnt really get hints of any spices. Again, I'm not saying it was terrible by any means. Just left something to be desired. We also ordered the wueso flameado and that was pretty good. Overall a good place to eat. Would recommend checking it out.

The setup inside is adorable and had a cozy, relaxed vibe from the moment we walked in. Our server, Tom, was absolutely wonderful. He even asked if we had any allergies when ordering, which we really appreciated even though we didn't have any. It honestly showed how much they care about their customers. I don't think I've ever had a restaurant ask that before! He was also super attentive and kept our waters refilled so quickly throughout the meal. One thing we really liked was the atmosphere. We loved all the fun live music spots around Nashville too, but this was a nice change of pace if you're looking for more of a chill, relaxed vibe where you can easily enjoy conversation during dinner. We both ordered the asada tacos and they were SO delicious, exactly what we needed. The rice on the side tasted incredibly fresh too, and the tomato and corn mixed into it were the perfect addition. You could tell everything was made with care. The staff was constantly cleaning tables quickly after guests left, and overall the service was just amazing from start to finish. We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back next time we're in Nashville!

Asada Tacos: Honestly, pretty bland. The meat was cooked well but it lacked any real flavor. Salmon: Nothing special. Didn't feel like high-grade fish. Pork Belly Tacos (The GOAT): Absolute life-changing Pork Belly. As someone who's eaten a lot of pork belly, this was easily the best I've ever had. I'd come back just for this. The Portion: Tacos come with rice and beans so the portions are very generous. You won't leave hungry. 4/5 stars. The only reason for the 4-star rating is that incredible Pork Belly. It carried the whole meal. Highly recommend for that dish alone!

Thanks good sir! We got the Carnitas to share and Guacamole - it was the perfect amount of food for the three of us and everything was so good. I loved building my own tacos with all the fun toppings. They even brought us more shells when we still had meat & toppings leftover. And more chips when we still had guac in the pestal & mortar (which was super cute). I loved the vibe of the place - chic but not so chic I felt out of place (because no one would call me chic for good reason). I loved the glow of the pink neon - created a fun vibe.

It was a quick walk through an apartment hallway and leads you out right to the front door. Once walking in the door everyone was so nice and inviting. This was a late lunch hour so it wasn't busy and basically got sat immediately. But I would think lunch hour and weekends can get pretty busy. I knew what I was craving so we ordered pretty much as soon as we sat down. Omg the food was soo good and the perfect size for what I wanted. The taquitos were soooo good! The perfect flavors and texture. I would definitely get these again! The birria tacos were just as equally good! Next time you're in the area make sure you check them out!
