[[HIGHLIGHT]]Small local restaurant, with TONS of charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place is the real deal, no Tex Mex here; so if you're looking for the fajita, flour taco, or flautas then go somewhere else because they don't have it. The service was fast and friendly, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend you get over here and try them out!

My go-to Mexican food spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cozy vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love that they are open late (until 11pm or midnight). The staff are always kind and the service is quick. There's also parking outside of the restaurant. I usually order the carne asada tacos with rice and a side of pico. It usually comes with grilled onions, which I LOVE! Their pico is absolutely delightful. An affordable lunch or dinner! Other recommendations: their birria and half grilled chicken. They have a grill located outdoors and they are always grilling throughout the day. So good!

I was in the area and found this cute little hole in the wall and I was not disappointed. I tried the Caldo de Res which was a huge scrumptious soup with a hearty portion of beef perfect for a freezing night. The Pollo Asada was perfectly marinated and smoked with all the accompaniments of rice, beans, salad etc. But the best part was the service! The staff are the stars of this establishment. If I'm ever in the area, I will for sure return

Tacos Y Mariscos Linda Mexico is the epitome of hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant located in a nondescript building that has definitely seen better days. The parking lot is very tight and I was glad that I found a parking spot by the entrance and I backed in the spot. Walking in, I found myself anticipating a fantastic meal. I am a firm believer that the best Mexican food does not come from higher end restaurants with a focus on ambiance and vibe, but rather the best Mexican food I have found comes from humble little mom-and-pop type places like this. My server was great. She was friendly and outgoing. She definitely added to my overall positive experience here. Looking at the menu, I opted to go with four tacos. I got a spicy pork, a beef and two chorizo. Let me also point out that the tacos were $2.25 each. They brought two sauces, a red and green. Both were great, though I preferred the spicier green. The tacos themselves were incredible, as well. I would definitely recommend here and I will give it five stars.

I love this neighborhood spot. I've tried many dishes and they are all amazing. The burrito is large and filling. The half chicken comes with lettuce, lime, pico, and tortillas and was enough for me to save some for later. Perfect place for me to practice my Spanish as everyone is friendly (there are also English speaking staff). [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are two rooms with seating and a bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great carne asada tacos & quesabirria! Servers were nice, [[HIGHLIGHT]]parking lot filled up and is a little tight.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Only three stars because they do not give you chips and salsa for free, and I would not recommend the chicken burrito.

Went here with my husband last night and absolutely loved it!!! Great service, wonderful food, and a super reasonable price, very clean place and I absolutely love all of the paintings!! Everything was painted wall chairs inside outside. It was so bright, colorful and festive. 100% will be back very soon!

This place is absolutely delicious! We had wonderful customer service and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the overall atmosphere was really nice![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Really good food for a really good price, definitely check it out! Their pan Dulce next door is also delicious!!

I was really disappointed after reading the great reviews. Food was ok, but no chips and salsa and not as many choices for food.

And nobody judges you for letting your kids run around a little. Other families are there doing the same thing, everybody gets it, and for a brief moment in time, eating out with children doesn't feel like a hostage situation. The food is always consistent, the drinks are good, and brunch is probably the best move. It's family-friendly in the way parents actually need a place to be family-friendly, not just because they technically allow children through the door. They're making the outside even better now with the renovation and additions, which is great because that patio already rules. Good food. Good drinks. Great outdoor space. Kid-approved, adult-approved. It's freaking awesome.

I ordered the vegan burrito thinking I was about to receive the warm, tightly wrapped cylinder of comfort that has powered civilizations for centuries. Beans. Rice. Maybe some grilled veggies doing their thing. The classics. What arrived instead was... a philosophical question. Inside the tortilla was a sparse scattering of ingredients that looked less like a burrito filling and more like the evidence table after a burrito had already been eaten by someone else. A few beans wandering around with no clear sense of purpose. Rice that appeared to have been introduced to the concept of seasoning only briefly, perhaps in passing. Everything loosely contained in a tortilla that had clearly given up on life somewhere around the folding stage. I actually paused for a moment just staring at it, the way you might look at modern art and wonder if you're missing something important. But the real genius of this dish is the confidence. Because someone in that kitchen assembled this, looked down at their work, closed the box, and essentially said, "Yes. This is a burrito." And honestly? I respect it. As someone who never misses an opportunity to troll when the moment presents itself, I can only admire the audacity. Putting this in a box and sending it out into the world with a straight face deserves recognition. Was it a good burrito? Absolutely not. But was it memorable? Without question. In fact, it may be the most conceptual burrito I've ever had. 5 sexy stars.

Another rare five-star review but this place definitely deserved every star!…read more I learned about the little taco shop in the back from an Instagram post and convinced my husband that we needed to give it a try. First off, plenty of parking. Bonus. When you walk into the store, everything smells clean and fresh. The grocery section is well organized. The produce section is overflowing with fresh veggies that are well-priced. You can find most everything you are looking for at a grocery store. In the back of the store, they have a deli and a little taco shop. There are tables and chairs, so you can eat there or take your food to go. My husband got two Quesabirria Tacos and a side of rice and beans. I ordered three street-style tacos: Carnitas, Barbaco and Pescado, which was grilled. I also ordered a side of plantains. Throw in a bottle of water and the total bill was $31. There was so much food that I had to take the rice and beans, 2 tacos and my plantains home. I just could not eat any more! They have housemade salsa that they sell in pint containers. The Salsa Verde was so delicious that I have been putting it on all my food this past week. It's spicy but not overpowering. I'm going back just to get more of that salsa! Reading the comments from the Instragram post, people told the IG poster not to give away locals' secrets. This definitely is a hidden gem!

Located in Madison Square shopping plaza on Gallatin a few blocks from downtown Madison, Garden…read moreFresh Food Market is a small but mighty spot for all your Latin food needs whether it be packaged or fresh! From the outside, Garden Fresh looks like a big place, but once you walk in, you realize that it is a lot smaller than imagined. Even with a smaller space, they have this placed packed with all the goods from a small produce and veggie section, packaged meat, freezer, rice, dry goods, snacks, drinks, toiletries, etc...and of course they have a meat/seafood counter where you can get the freshest of proteins! I would like a bit more selection of pre-packaged/bulk meats on the shelves as the lines for the meat counter along with the line for the cocina can become overwhelming. While the store is packed with goods, this is a great thing, but also makes it hard to maneuver as the aisles and spaces are pretty small. A lot of "excuse me", "my bad" while shopping. Speaking of the cocina...in the back of the store you will find a small counter where they are slinging the freshest tacos, quesadillas, birria, nachos, tamales and more! While I may not pick up groceries on each visit, I do always make sure to pick up a taco or three to go! If you want to eat in, they do have a few tables as well. Service is always friendly and they are staffed well, notably for the busier times...which is more times than not, especially on the weekends! Condition of the store is decent. The shopping plaza is pretty unsavory, but once you get inside you are good and things turn around! Overall, great spot in Madison!
