Our hosts recommended this gem to us after a long day on the road with our three kids and I'm so glad we took them up on our recommendation! We parked in the strip mall across the street where we later went for ice cream because I accidentally turned too soon, but I was glad when I saw how steep their parking lot is, with all the telltale scrapes from cars bottoming out. Our family shared a plate of Birria Tacos which we all adored and the kids ate the dipping sauce as soup. The half chicken had so much flavor from the smoker grill out front and I loved that it came with pico and fresh radishes in addition to the rice and beans. The Birria tacos came with satueed onions, diced raw onions, and shredded cilantro. Two other families had young kiddos like us, and I loved hearing one little guy order his favorite, carne asada, which I want to come back for! So delicious, great atmosphere and prices. My go-to Mexican food spot. Super cozy vibes. I love that they are open late (until 11pm or midnight). The staff are always kind and the service is quick. There's also parking outside of the restaurant. I usually order the carne asada tacos with rice and a side of pico. It usually comes with grilled onions, which I LOVE! Their pico is absolutely delightful. An affordable lunch or dinner! Other recommendations: their birria and half grilled chicken. For less than $20, I got an entire grilled chicken that was so flavorful, moist and delicious. I got a stack of tortillas, rice, beans, and salad. I was in the area and found this cute little hole in the wall and I was not disappointed. I tried the Caldo de Res which was a huge scrumptious soup with a hearty portion of beef perfect for a freezing night. Tacos Y Mariscos Linda Mexico is the epitome of hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant located in a nondescript building that has definitely seen better days. The parking lot is very tight and I was glad that I found a parking spot by the entrance and I backed in the spot. Walking in, I found myself anticipating a fantastic meal. I am a firm believer that the best Mexican food does not come from higher end restaurants with a focus on ambiance and vibe, but rather the best Mexican food I have found comes from humble little mom-and-pop type places like this. My server was great. She was friendly and outgoing. She definitely added to my overall positive experience here. Looking at the menu, I opted to go with four tacos. I got a spicy pork, a beef and two chorizo. Let me also point out that the tacos were $2.25 each. They brought two sauces, a red and green. Both were great, though I preferred the spicier green. This place is as authentic Mexican as you can get. It's a little out of the way, but in my opinion WELL WORTH THE DRIVE. Now let's get down to what you're really here to find out... Is the food worth the drive?.. One Thousand percent yes. They have all the typical Mexican drinks you would expect (yes they have Jarritos), yay! I came here with my brother in law and my hubby. We started off with the Choriqueso with chips and it was the perfect amount of cheesiness, spice, and savory chorizo in each bite. It wasn't super greasy which I appreciated. The chips were warm and freshly fried with the perfect amount of salt. Then each of us ordered the quesobirria tacos and man oh man, these tacos were special. The shell was tender, but had a slight crunch, perfect amount of cheese and the meat was so tender and flavorful. It comes with a bowl of their consomé and all the fixings to put in each taco. It came with perfectly minced onions, cilantro and scallions.. plus they served it with some delicious grilled onions. Every bite was full of flavor! And the consomé, omg I wanted to drink the whole bowl. But I restrained myself . They give you two different sauces for the table, the green sauce is creamy, flavorful and packs a spicy punch with jalapeños and chiles. I didn't try the second one, sorry guys. Don't sleep on this location tucked away alongside busy gallatin pike. A friend of mine recently moved into the Madison area after living in east nashville for over a decade. She asked my wife & I to come try a "New Mexican place she saw that smelled really good when she drove by it" haha. This area is similar to the atmosphere on Nolensville road south of town. I lived there for a little while and love the food scene. Lots of great eats in a busily congested working class neighborhood. I'm a sucker for a good Torta (Mexican sandwich similar to a hoagie but also can resemble a burger depending on venue & fillings). They have one on the menu here at the bottom called the "Torta Cubana". In my mind that meant more meat & I live a traditional Cuban so I took a chance. It paid off as this thing was huge, took two hands to hold each half. Stuffed to the brim with egg, thick ham, chorizo, smoked sausage, and a thin lot fried pork chop? Whatever it was it was ridiculous the amount of meat. & it tasted great. I'd wager they get the bread for it from the panadaria next door as it was definitely homemade & very taste by itself. The red sauce they give you at the table in the ketchup bottle is also very good! TIPS: they don't serve margaritas here or chips & salsa or queso, this is authentic. They do serve beer. It was a gorgeous Sunday and all the places I tried to eat at in East Nashville were packed, so I decided to venture north and I am SOOOOO happy I did! Lindo Mexico is quite the find and has everything that I love about an authentic taqueria - fresh, flavorful food; reasonable prices; and a great vibe. Food - I had both the a Gordita de Camarón (Shrimp, cheese, beans, lettuce, onion and cilantro) and a Tostada de Camarón (Shrimp Tostada) as they are known for their seafood (mariscos). By a slim margin, the Gordita was my favorite. I thought the sautéed onions were a nice touch and I always love dishes that are served with radishes - so crisp and fresh. The shrimp were flavorful, tender and abundant and the combination of flavors and textures was incredible. As for the Tostada, at first I was a little concerned as the shrimp looked pale and anemic - but I soon realized that the look was deceiving. The shrimp on the tostada were also flavorful, tender and abundant and when combined with the pico de gallo and avocado - it was out of this world. I also loved the both salsas that were served with the dishes - salsa verde and salsa roja. Although I think my mouth is still on fire. The restaurant itself has a great vibe. The interior is colorful and energetic with great music. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I also love going to a restaurant where the staff is not only having a good time, but they have a great rapport with their regulars. I felt as if I were part of the family at the restaurant. I think this says a lot about how the place is managed. That and the fact that they had a ton of take out orders and they were busy. I saw the beautiful painted building from the street and it warranted a further look. Their covid policy was limited seating and mask wearing. I opted for the quesadilla but I also wanted to sample the authentic tacos. The sauce that's a light green was delicious. It's similar to what you would get in taquerias all over town. Picked up 3 tacos and a burrito for takeout, all were flavorful with tender meat. The lady who took my order only spoke Spanish, but their menu has photos and English translations, so no worries for non-Spanish speaking patrons! With the pretty, colorful mural facade and a grill going out front, this place is easy to spot from the road. The staff were all wearing masks, but they don't enforce masks with patrons, so I waited for my food outside. Something to keep in mind if you're being extra cautious during the pandemic. read more

I had a bunch of their tacos the other night and they were great! They are classic street style tacos which are pretty basic with just onions and cilantro. It also came with some sauces which were very spicy but really good. The place felt very authentic, there seemed to be very little english being spoken but it didn't really cause any issues.
