Don't get me wrong they gave a lot of food, and it was good but it just wasn't my favorite. The paella was very peppery it overpowered the flavor of the paella with all of the green and red peppers in it. I took the dessert to go and I usually loved passionfruit cheesecake and this was not tangy enough. The passionfruit layer was very thin. I hadn't dined at El Molino in probably 8 years. It's just as delicious if not better than I recall. I admit I was a bit hesitant based on some of the recent reviews, but I went ahead based on my past experience. I'm so glad I did! My brother and I visited on Sunday evening in the 5 o'clock hour. They had more than enough staff available. We ordered the mini empanadas as an appetizer. These are available in chicken or beef, but one can't order a combination. We opted for carne based on our server's recommendation. We accidentally received a chicken one and I'm here to say the waitress knew what she was talking about! The pollo empanada was bland and the carne had great flavor. For entrées, my brother ordered the steak with sautéed onions and I ordered the pollo asado. Both meats were well seasoned and juicy. I stole a few of his delicious onions for my chicken. We both opted for rice and salad as sides. The pollo asado is paired with three sides; therefore, I also opted for French fries. The rice was perfect, the fries were well fried and seasoned, and the dressing on the salad was rationed perfectly. Additionally, it tasted superb. My brother had a coke and I had water. El Molino serves soda in cans. Our total bill prior to tip was just under $40 and I had leftovers for lunch the following day. I highly recommend El Molino. They offer a lot of space including room for an event, the venue is clean, the staff are friendly, and the food is delicious! BUYERS BE AWARE It was the second time that this restaurant charged me 18% for service. Last time I thought it was because my party was of 6 people. I did not like it but I still came back yesterday only to find out that this restaurant charges 18% on top of the check automatically when it is more than $100. I used to complain about this in Virginia because what it does is that the servers don't care about providing a good service. My server was kind but she disappeared after serving our food. Only came at the end. My cazuela mixta came out very cold so I returned it to get it heated up. Otherwise the food tasted good. The places is well decorated and the servers mean well. However, I got very disheartened about this fact. It is abusive to charge ahead. Then the server still was waiting to see if I was going to put EXTRA tip without warning me that there already was an 18% added. I realized about it and then she explained it to me. I will always tip my waiter/waitress but I want to have a chance to reward a good service or not so much if they don't do a good job. read more

La salchicha, carne de res y chicharrón estuvieron bien en comparación. No pude probar la comida de mi padre (pargo frito) pero él nunca se queja así que si hubo algo malo de igual forma no podría decir. This place sucks! They literally rejected us from entering because my boyfriend was not wearing pants. This is Florida. It's 80 degrees. He was wearing Khaki shorts and denied entry! How stupid! We would've spent a ton of money at the bar and danced our asses off but now I want to tell everyone to avoid this pretentious establishment! If you are going to have stupid arbitrary rules about people wearing pants than you should at least have pants available to loan out for the night. This use to be our go to spot. Unfortunately, many things have changed. The hostess was ver nice and helpful but that's where it stopped. War placed our order with someone that appears to have been the manager or owner. My father's steak was cold even though we waited over 40 minutes for our food after our appetizers. When he brought it up to their attention, they offered to warm it up, which he agreed. My mother ordered the fried fish and it was over cooked to the point that it was stiff. The individual that took our order (the person that seemed in charge) barely said a few words to us, let alone apologize for any inconvenience. I understand the staffing shortage and so on, but some acknowledgment would a have been appreciated. I do thank the hostess for being so nice. Definitely will no be coming back.
