I have given this location a few tries in hopes that it would be as good as their original location by Palm Springs. Unfortunately, this spot is not great. I've ordered the Bandeja Paisa and somehow a dish that is usually packed with flavor is very dull and bland. Beans were lacking flavor and the Maduros were over cooked. The carne asada in the platter was pretty good but couldn't save the overall dish. Empanadas de carne also seemed overcooked and bland as well. I was able to try their empanadas de queso and they were good but the middle was still cold. Service wasn't the most attentive but they were polite. The restaurant is colorful and could be such a good spot to enjoy in Wellington/Royal Palm. I don't leave reviews at all but this was necessary The customer service was horrible. Ordered a appetizer didn't come out until 25 minutes after. The place was just 1 other family so basically dead. Server also told us she wouldn't eat here. Most servers here have a ego and can't accept their mistakes. They were also rude. Overall just a bad experience. read more

We love the location in boynton so I was happy to see there is one closer to us. The food is always amazing zero complaints there. Great prices and very generous with their portions, you can shar a lot of the dishes. Atmosphere and restaurant very clean, staff always friendly. My only issue is that service takes a while. The restaurant isn't that big to wait almost on everything, drinks, food, bill, to-go containers. We had to wait quite a bit anytime we needed anything. Had lunch at the Royal Palm location today on Southern in the Home Depot shopping center. The service was outstanding and the place is immaculately clean and comfortable as well as attractive. The kitchen is visible and it, too, is well equipped and VERY clean. I was not a devotee of Hispanic food (other than that served at Las Americas) but Rinconcito's made me a fan. We ordered a meat pie/empanada which was loaded with pot roast - beyond delicious. My friend has a steak w grilled onions, rice and beans together with plantains. Hers was a huge serving and she took over half home. The churrasco was lean, perfectly cooked and nicely presented and one of the best she ever had. I had breaded pork loin, enough for 3 people, with plantains, rice and french fries...one of the best dishes ever (and I am a foodie and restaurant afficianado), Pricing Is very reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. Not everyone speaks English but plenty do. They are well staffed and the female restroom was very well equipped, attractive and extremely clean and well maintained. The staff, seeing I used a walker, jumped in and helped me with the heavy door and waited until I exited to again help with the door. We will go back soon......again and again. read more

We had the orden de empanadas, 5 small empanadas for a great price of $ 3.49! Tried the Chorizo with Arepita and chicharron with arepita. Liked the first one very much, the second one was okay, but it's just that I am not fond of chicharrones. For $ 2.50, in case you want to accompany a cold Corona with a bite, you can try the Arepitas con Hogao, 3 arepitas served with a spicy sauce (not too hot): it's a good idea for those new to arepitas that want to try their taste without meat. The sauce was good and a lot so we asked for another order of arepitas. Everything was tasty and at very low prices. I'll definitely stop here again when in the area to try a regular meal, but let me tell you that for those who are doubtful about trying small places, the so-called "hole in the wall", this is a fine establishment and you can tell the food is fresh. We stopped there for a drink one afternoon, but ended up having an early dinner, mostly made of appetizers! Noticing that we didn't know too much about Colombian food, the bar tender voluntarily offered so many explanations and suggestions. We started with "Empanadas de Carne" (which unlike the Argentinian ones are made of cornmeal), a couple of orders of "Arepitas con Hogao" (cornmeal cakes served with a creole sauce) and continued with "Chorizo con Arepita" and "Chicharron" (good, but a little too fat for my taste). Their prices are very low: even the imported Colombian beers are cheaper than any US beers at the more known bars/pubs. We'll definitely go back one day to try their entries! read more

We placed an order to pick up and we're told to come in 15-20 minutes. We arrived somehow early so we had to wait, which wasn't a problem since we're not in a rush. However, a after waiting for an additional 15 minutes for our order, the food came out mostly cold (empanadas, pan de bonos and morcilha). The arepa was the only thing warm but unfortunately, one side was completely burned. We aren't from WPB so we were excited to find a Colombia place to try but definitely, it was disappointing. read more

Visited this place yesterday as I happened to be in the plaza. I ordered the baby churrasco. I waited almost 30 minutes just for a take out order. It was over $11 and it was nothing special. I had rice, beans and a salad with it. I would not give this place another try. They have an abundance of what seemed like female only waitresses and counter attendants. Make sure to watch through the kitchen window. Went there for late snack, got up to see what was taking so long. What a surprise I got to see workers cleaning and squeezing mop by hand then using same hands to handle not only my food but every other order that was being prepared. Was in the mood for Colombian food and we remember seeing that a new location for El Rinconcito was close to us. I ordered a mango smoothie and when I tasted it it was bland and tasted like milk only. The waitress was so sweet and quickly exchanged it for me only to return with a bitter mango disaster. I was so disappointed. My boyfriend ordered grilled chicken with rice and beans.. as usual I asked him to try his meal.. which lead to another disappointment because it lacked flavor and was also bland. Although the food is good, the service and attention to detail is horrible. This is the 3rd time I've given them a chance since I've been ordering from here from before when it was punto Latino. Ask for hot sauce, no sauce. Asked for chicken empanadas, received beef. This is the usual with them. You always have to run back inside and ask for the SAME THINGS you asked and waited 30 min for, again. Makes things extremely difficult when you only have a 45 min break. I spend at least a $40 minimum every time (since I order for more than one person.) I've spent nearly $70 before and they STILL GOT MY ORDER WRONG. Let's not forget to mention that when I ask for extra hot sauce they charge me an extra 3.99 but for people they like it's free! I've refrained from writing this for a while but something has to give. Great food, but the woman that take the orders usually are to busy talking amongst theirselves than paying attention to detail. And god forbid you interrupt their conversation to tell them THEY have made a mistake, it's nothing but attitude. Horrible customer service. Won't be back. read more
