Every employee is considered your server. Yes, you'll have a primary, but you'll be asked several extra times if there is something you need, or to take dishes out of the way. At first it was a little annoying, but we've learned to love this excellent service. Then you will find there are some exceptional personalities that emerge. Our favorite is Leydis, but all the servers are well trained and work hard to make your visit special. Leydis' husband Orli is frequently the bar tender. For a special treat, try his "Margarita Fresca" made with fresh squeezed juices. 2. Decor - The restaurant is decorated with a vast range of hand carved furniture, which we learned is sourced from Tonola, a suburb of Guadalajara. As I understand it, the owner of the furniture factory is a partner on the restaurant as well, so there is some exceptional art. Be sure to wander a little while you can. 3. Food, there is a wonderful variety of choices, including some I'm sure you've never heard of. They do a great job on the molcajete. We have our "go to" dishes, including one they specialize just for me, but I encourage all to experiment. Two more special things to consider. First, we come a lot on Tuesdays in part to take advantage of Taco Tuesday (see photo). At $1.99 each, it's a better price than even fast food tacos, and you get these beasts instead. Second, be sure to ask for the hot salsa sampler. Each has a very unique flavor, but a manageable 'bite'. I think they should feature this, and include information on the origins of each flavor. *Absolutely* the best in Lake City, and our favorite anywhere in the states that we have visited. We ordered the Rita sampler and the blueberry margarita tasted like blueberry pie, so fresh, organic, and absolutely yummy.
