Place is filth and grimy as can be . Same hair balls and clumps of hair in the girls locker rooms for weeks and weeks . Nobody cleans , it's disgusting sad state of the locker rooms . Pool guard in the daytime bothering me and bossing me around and Asking me if I dive in the shallow end which I didn't and would never do . So, what nasty filthy grimy joke and how these parents are okay with their kids using these disgusting locker rooms is absolutely beyond comprehension. Take pride in where you work and the either hire someone or don't but honestly this is the dirtiest most disgusting hair ball filled piss stained pool I've ever been to . Also my watch was stolen by two Asian women lap swimmers who stood by my belongings at the bleachers and i watched them from the shallow end steal my gold watch . My beautiful wristwatch , gone forever , I says they wouldn't do it , I'm watching them ! But they sure did , stolen my beautiful little watch right in front of my face and sneak off forever .

I used to come here when I was younger and I'm finally back but this time I brought my husband's little cousin's. This place is still as i remember. Super welcoming and helpful. Everybody's nice as always.

My kids enjoyed the night swimming there only thing is life guards are rude she need to be more friendly . I'm not the only one said her mean , one of the customers also said the same .

Look, can someone tell me if this guy not feeling cold.....

This stupid place hire totally freaky people and very mean. I just don't know why the city would hire them...... Anyway, here what the problem: kids swim here, cannot changes their clothes here. They're have to get back on the bus and go back to their school and change. These trainers after getting out of the water they are still shaking. And here, all the small kids only 8 years old. What do you think?...... I am keep asking why they don't let them change. These questions should be asking those stupid people who ever came up with these stupid ideas..... Also, I don't know if they have any kids in their family or they are just a bunch of asshole don't have family and don't even care about other.........people who work here even stand in front of the restroom make sure you don't change anything. If you change it, they will ask you to change it back to wet clothes.... what an idiot.....

A long overdue review of this place. This is the closets swimming pool to me. They offer swim classes for all ages, "Free" swim (lap swimming) & during the summer, they have events for all to enjoy. Prices for classes & admissions varies so check their website for updated schedules & fees. There's indoor & outdoor pools. Diving platforms, lap swimming, wading pool for the little ones with water shooting up for them to play in, & a water slide. The Instructors are young college kids who are also lifeguards at other places. They're pretty good with teaching. The pools are usually clean but I guess with so many people, it gets dirty (sand, noodles... yes noodles!, hair etc) have been found. Some people do not rinse off before entering the pool (no etiquette). There's bleachers located inside the indoor pool area for spectators. The locker rooms is ok. Make sure you have shoes. I wouldn't want to walk around bare footed. Showers are available & a family room for people who have little ones to help them get changed. Parking can be difficult during high season since the lot is shared with other facilities nearby. There's street parking as well.

Love this warm pool

Too many people allowed in that you can't even swim around without getting in people's way.

Most of the staff at this pool are friendly and professional, and we've generally had a good…read moreexperience--until today. My 10-year-old son is on the swim team. After team practice, he has a 30-minute dryland session, followed immediately by private swim training. For the past several weeks, he's been allowed to re-enter the pool area without waiting in the general line, which makes sense due to the tight timing. If we were warned that it was against the policy, we would have not done this. But today, a staff member named Sara (who did not give her last name) suddenly yelled at him as he walked in, insisting that he go back outside and wait in the long public line. We explained that his private training is only 30 minutes, and waiting 15+ minutes would waste half the session. We offered to follow the rule next time, saying we'd have a parent wait in line on his behalf--but she still refused and wouldn't make a one-time exception. What bothered me most was not just the rigid enforcement of a rule--but her attitude. As a city employee, Sara was harsh, dismissive, and showed zero empathy for a child trying to follow his training schedule. It felt unnecessarily personal, and frankly, we couldn't help but feel targeted--possibly because we're Chinese. In today's social climate, it's hard not to notice when someone goes out of their way to make life difficult for no good reason. We understand policies are in place for a reason. But government staff--especially those working with kids and families--should be trained to enforce them with basic courtesy and common sense. Yelling at a 10-year-old and refusing to understand and work with parents trying to cooperate is not how a public facility should treat its community.

I'm not sure why they let incompetent high school kids run the front desk, but no one ever knows…read morewhat the correct hours are for adult lap swimming. I called in the morning and they gave me the wrong time so I had to wait 40 mins for the lanes to open. I recommend checking the actual Rosemead community guide pamphlet online for the times.

What exactly am I paying for?…read more Seriously. I purchased a membership for lap swimming, but the reality is that members are constantly competing for access to THREE lanes. Not an entire pool. Three lanes. And apparently the expectation is that up to FOUR adults can share a single lane. Four. There was a day when a third person joined my lane and that was RIDICULOUS. Four people sharing one lap lane is not a quality swimming experience. It's overcrowding disguised as a membership benefit. Then there are the limited hours. Which I was initially fine with until everything else. There are the swim lessons and you will be removed from a lane if the instructor needs the lane you are already in. Then there is the jacuzzi, which seems to spend more time closed than open. I swim three times a week and I honestly can't remember the last time it was available. At this point, why advertise it as an amenity at all? And today I find... the facility is closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for a swim meet. The only notice given was a piece of paper taped to the door. A piece of paper. In 2026. Members provide phone numbers and email addresses when signing up. Why collect that information if you're not going to communicate closures that eliminate nearly half a week's worth of access? No email. No text. No notification. Just drive over and find out when you get there. The most frustrating part is that none of these issues exist by themselves. It's the combination of all of them. Limited hours. Limited lanes. Overcrowded lanes. Frequent jacuzzi closures. Priority given elsewhere. Unexpected facility closures. Poor communication. Yet the membership price suggests you're paying for a premium aquatic facility. You're not. For less money, I can join a gym with a lap pool, a functioning jacuzzi, longer operating hours, fitness equipment, and significantly better availability. City of La Mirada wants to charge premium membership fees while delivering a consistently limited experience. The entire operation feels incredibly cheap. Cheap communication. Cheap availability. Cheap member accommodations. But somehow not cheap membership prices. If members are expected to share three overcrowded lanes, lose access for entire weekends, receive no meaningful communication, and watch amenities remain closed for weeks at a time, then management needs to answer a very simple question: What exactly are we paying for?

Our child is particularly sensitive and anxious in the water, and likely needed a more tailored, confidence-based approach. We made an effort to encourage her to push through and stay consistent with the program. However, during that time her discomfort increased, and she became more resistant to participating in lessons--to the point where we were close to discontinuing classes altogether. We later had two or three makeup sessions with Stephanie, during which we observed clear and immediate improvement. After switching our regular schedule to a more suitable day for us and having Stephanie as the permanent instructor, the progress accelerated significantly. In less than a month, our child became noticeably more comfortable in the water. She no longer shows the same level of fear. This is not a reflection on the previous instructor's ability, but rather a difference in fit and teaching approach. The connection and method used by Stephanie have proven to be more effective for our child's needs. There was a recent comment from staff noting that our child does not meet Level 3 criteria. While we understand that evaluations follow established standards, our primary goal is water safety, confidence, and functional swimming ability. From that perspective, the progress made in the past month is substantial and meaningful, especially compared to the prior seven months, and it's largely thanks to Stephanie. Overall, we value the measurable improvement in our child's comfort and capability in the water.
