Had a great experience with El Monte Rv. Thanks to the Maneger for making it good! Had the rv for 6 days and everything worked out great. My husband and I were first timers, so the instructions when we picked it up was on point. && the manual helped a lot. Will book again in the future! Thanks again.

San Bernardino El Monte RV office staff were friendly and helpful. We rented a Class C RV for Presidents Day weekend and the motorhome was clean and ready to go. During our trip we found that the Microwave and TV/DVR didn't work. We called the hotline and didnt get much help, During our return, we were told that the microwave was unplugged (?) Not sure how or why. The TV was found to be bad. One person in our camp mentioned that they've used El Monte in the past and had several issues, including, an oven issue during one of their trips. They called the hotline folks and were told that someone was driving out to make the repairs. Apparently they were left without power for the vacation because nobody ever showed up. They now use Cruise America for that reason. I noticed other people that were returning while we were there. They were using the same $50 voucher that they offered us for our problems. Then the other customer told me that they give that voucher to everyone at check in, it wasn't because of our issues. Not that our issues completely ruined our trip, because it didnt. The frustrating part is, if you want to speak to someone at the main office, you cant get in contact with them. Its either by mail or email. Based on my experience with El Monte RV and, the stories I heard from the family that I met while camping this weekend, I will only use Cruise America from here on out,

As this review is being typed...we are stranded in Arizona. The awning on unit 71176 will not retract. We've been calling since Friday evening. It is now Sunday, check out time and we have only received minimal assistance. Told to run the motor for 30 mins and then press the button to retract the awning. That's hasn't worked. It is now check out time, the park is booked a can't extend the stay nor move the unit. Elmonte RV has us all in a queue for hours without answering the call...it's 8 of us calling hoping anyone of us get through. If we leave the unit we'll be charged a $2k abandonment fee! This is the worst experience ever!

We rented from El Monte and had a wonderful experience. Being new to the RV world, this was causing stress as our daughter desired to rent one for her birthday. We began looking around, even on the RV sharing sites. This only caused more anxiety. We decided to just go speak with them and immediately felt relieved as they were simply great and answered all our questions. In addition, I felt as though the prices were competitive. We worked with Valerie when we went in to reserve, then again at pick up, then again at drop off. She is phenomenal. Such a delight. There was another young lady with fun hair that assisted us with the initial walkthrough. I apologize as her name escapes me. She too was very patient and incredibly helpful. We have been burned before renting jet skis (obviously not at El Monte). This made me nervous so I proceeded to videotape the walkthrough. She did not skip a beat and welcomed it. Interestingly enough, as someone who has never used an RV before, I found it incredibly helpful and reference the video throughout the weekend to refresh and learn all that she taught us during that walkthrough. During drop off, Valerie did the walkthrough and made checkout extremely easy. We were in and out fairly quickly and they did not try to burn us as I experienced with the jet skis. Thank you El Monte, thank you Valerie, and thank you to the other girl. We appreciate you. As for the RV, we rented a class c 22. It was very easy to drive, very clean, and lots of fun. I recommend finding a campground with full hook ups or really nice showers as the grey water tank can fill up quicker than you think. Again, we would highly recommend El Monte's RVs. We have already recommended a friend that has proceeded to rent from them with a positive experience. We have also recommended them to another friend looking to rent that I believe will do so. If El Monte reads this, do you have a referral program? Thanks again! Looking forward to the next trip!

First off, the trailer we rented was in great shape and very comfortable. We met him at the site and he delivered the trailer, which was a huge help. Everyything in the trailer was in good working order and, additionally, Mike provided items that other companies (we have used other companies to rent before) don't! For example, he provides toilet paper, paper towels and all other paper goods! Also, Mike checks on you during your stay to make sure things are going well and there are no issues. For people that are coming from out of town as we were, this was very welcome! The most important and wonderful thing was that, while we were at the rocket launch, we got hit with a huge rainstorm one night that turned the site into a muddy mess! Mike made special arrangements to get us a friend's large military truck to get us and our truck out of there so we wouldn't be stuck after the weekend. He felt that this was his duty as we were his customers! He and his friends personally made sure we got out safe and sound! Frankly, I have never experienced that type of customer concern and loyalty! Mike has an incredible view of what it means to provide customer service and he truly cares about his customers. Would never rent from them ever again. They are cheaper than other sites but you get what you pay…read morefor. Toured at least 5 class A RVs several months before our trip. Some had just come back from Burning Man so they were filthy but they said all the carpet would be shampooed & everything professionally cleaned when we picked it up. Stopped by a few times before our trip to tour the RV with friends that would join us & make sure items that needed fixing were getting done. We arrive at our pickup time of noon & during the walk through we find out the carpet wasn't shampooed as promised as there were stains. We take a ton of pictures as evidence so they don't say we caused the stains. We noticed one of the living room windows didn't have a privacy curtain, we said we needed that. Their solution was to tape a padded aluminum square over the window, essentially losing the use of light & air from 1 of the 2 main windows in the main living area. Then we wanted to check to make sure all the slide outs were working properly before taking possession but the bedroom slide out wouldn't slide back in. Maintenance was called & after more than an hour of fidgeting with the slide, it finally slid back in but I was already not happy or confident in the condition of the RV. We drive the RV back home to load up & had to top off the gas tank as it wasn't full. Once we got home, we opened the slides to start loading & find out it won't slide back in again. Now it's 4 pm & & we have to call them back. They said to bring it back & they will fix it. Now we have to unload stuff we had started to load so we can take it back, in case it isn't fixable. Ugh! Our husbands drive the RV back & maintenance tries to fix it but couldn't so a part was ordered. We asked if there was a different RV, because now we have zero confidence the RV will work properly. They said they didn't have a similar one to exchange. We waited 1.5 hrs for the part to be delivered but that didn't fix the issue with the slide. Now they said they had another RV & it was slightly bigger. Ughhhh, now we are several hours behind schedule due to the issues with the 1st RV. By the time we get the replacement RV back home, it's past 7pm & dark out & impossible to take good pictures of the condition of the outside of the 2nd RV for any existing issues or damage. Ughhhh When we finally finished loading everything, it is well past 1am & we are exhausted from the extremely long day. We had to delay our departure to Sequoia the next morning so we can get enough sleep for the long drive. This caused us to arrive to the RV park late in the evening & hookup in the dark, which we didn't want to do. When we took our first turn, the contents of the refrigerator fell out when the doors flung opened. It was a residential fridge, not an RV fridge with locking closures. That's when we noticed there were hooks on the side of the fridge. Luckily we had some bungee cords that we used to keep the fridge doors shut using the hooks, when we were driving. It would've been nice if ShareMyCoach warned us or provided straps. They also tried to tell us we dented the fridge when we didn't. The audacity, considering all the issues we had with the 1st & replacement RV!! The main living room heater worked the 1st night but stopped working after that. We had to crank up the heater in the back bedroom & keep the bedroom door ajar so our friends sleeping on the pull out couch in the living room could get some warmth at night. Then there was a steady & annoying beep coming from the microwave every 5 mins & we couldn't figure how to stop it, even though our husbands are handy. We had to call their maintenance but he didn't get back to us until the next day. Told us to reset the inverter but the beeping came back whenever we were hooked up to power. We also rented 2 e-bikes from them & on the day of pickup, 1 of the bikes we were going to rent had a flat tire. And the batteries were old & could not hold a full charge to go more than 5 miles, even though we kept them charged for 2 days. What a rip off for charging $30 a day for each e-bike!! When we complained they apologized but didn't give us credit. Do not do business with them!

Booking was super easy; they were incredibly accommodating, especially since we had many moving parts and I can be a bit high-maintenance when coordinating these types of things with other families. We rented the 36' Genesis Supreme toy hauler, which was in pristine condition! Even though we brought everything from our travel trailer, they provided all the necessities and even had the beds made up. It literally came with everything you would need as a starting point. Where we were camping, it was HOT (high 90s to the 100s) during the day, and the A/C was amazing! The "master" bedroom had a REAL mattress; it was so comfortable, I didn't want to get out of bed. I walked in with a 763 credit score, which should qualify as Tier 1(They said I was Tier 3) with any reputable lender. During the sales pitch, I was told that best-case financing would be 6.99% APR with a $1,000 down payment -- resulting in a monthly payment of around $153 for 72 months. They also shared a worst-case scenario of 18% APR, with payments around $205/month for the same term. After they ran my credit (with full permission), they came back with what they called a "killer deal" -- claiming this was the best I could get with my credit. What was the offer? 11.99% APR for 144 months, with a $1,499 down payment and a $164/month payment. Total cost? Over $23,000 for a $9,999 camper trailer. That's MORE THAN DOUBLE the price of the RV. When I questioned it, they told me I was somehow Tier 3--which is just blatantly inaccurate for someone with a 763 score. It feels like a classic bait-and-switch. They led with hypotheticals that looked decent, then made the worst-case numbers even worse! Bottom line: Be extremely careful. They push long-term, high-interest loans that benefit them far more than you. Very unethical and just plain WRONG. I strongly recommend shopping around with a credit union or trusted bank before signing anything here.
