This place gets ZERO STARS !!!!. Don't be fooled by the charismatic and friendly staff. They held my car hostage for about 3 days and continuously gas lite me about giving me a quote on the repairs. After 3 days of not going to work I had to have my car towed to a more qualified repair shop. Totally unprofessional. They never called me or logged my car in the system for the status then i get a text at 7:30 at night that they could not get an estimate on how much it would cost even though they had my care for 2 days. On the first day my car arrived at 10:11am and they never put it on the machine to get a diagnosis, and I was told they would for sure look at it tomorrow. The next day came and I had to call for status instead of them calling me. This place is not a place for African American women; they have no respect for us. All I got was no status and someone talking to me in a very condescending way as if I was an idiot. Don't even go here for an oil change even though the price is reasonable. They kept making it seem like I was driving the car with no oil when they had changed it only a month prior, makes me wonder if they even put enough oil in it and that's why I had issues. Called to make an appointment for a free brake check and to give us a quote for repairing a window. Dropped off the car and Amado was friendly at first. A little later that day he called with the estimated costs. Close to $600 just for replacing the front brakes only, rear brakes just needed an adjustment. That's crazy. When we made the phone appointment we were given an estimate of a little over 200 bucks for replacing all brakes, and now its suddenly 600 for replacing just the front?! Clearly someone trying to take advantage and hoping that the customer won't speak up or get quotes elsewhere. The window in the back fell into the door and we were quoted another wild estimate of over $500 to remove and replace the window regulator. Needless to say that they are clearly trying to take advantage of you and all friendliness or politeness went out the window, once he realized we would not be using his services and that he "needed the bay". And while that may be true, you should still be courteous to your customers. We called around and got quotes from a few other businesses and they were all significantly lower. And after all that he seriously tried to charge us 30 something bucks for looking at the brakes?! We spoke up and he suddenly declared that he would wave the fee. Oh really? Please don't do us any favor! The brake check is free after all as stated on your website! Do your research and ask around, don't let them take advantage of you. We went with a different business, had brakes replaced and window regulator repaired for a total of $320 and everything works very well. read more

Superb service and Amado Ochoa is the best !! This was our second time taking my daughter's car for brakes (first time was a few years ago for front brakes) and all went smoothly again. I made an online appt last Thursday night and first thing Friday morning I got a message from Amado that we could come earlier if we wanted. Once we arrived, he explained that they would check all brakes and let us know what the issue was with the back brakes. Within 1/2 he showed me what the problem was (needed new rotors) and in 10 min had an estimate for us. He even added new pads at no charge. We were out of the shop within 90 minutes with brand new back brakes. I often hate going to mechanics because many like to advantage of females thinking we know nothing about basic car maintenance; but not them !! Came here from hemet because no other shops had time today, already had my mechanic do a diagnostic and he said it needed an oil change but he had no time today. Decide to try this Midas out, had no issues when I drove it in, yet my car went into limp mode as soon as I left their parking lot. I'm so pissed, why could my car possibly be in limp mode if the oil change was one correctly! It is Saturday evening so now I have no car until Monday because I refuse to risk further damage by driving it. I had to pull over and get a tow from Fontana to Hemet. I'm not one for 1 star reviews, but if I could give this place zero stars I would! I would avoid coming here at all costs! I recently made an appointment, informed them of the service I required and the make and model of my car. They accepted and approved this appointment. On the day of said appointment, I walk in and ask for confirmation that they can and will complete the service with the right materials. They confirm that they can and they will. Two hours after dropping off my car, they call to tell me that their technician has refused to complete the service and said that I should just take it to the dealer or back to the place I had it previously serviced. When I proceeded to ask questions as to why they could not complete the service they then informed me that they technically could but I would have to come back the next day because they could no longer order materials. Why would anyone take another day off work to have their car serviced by an unqualified technician?! When I asked for the technician's name they refused to give it, and when I asked for their corporate office number they told me that I could just Google it. My family and I will never take our cars to another Midas, and especially not this one, knowing that they hire unqualified people to work on cars. This is a very unprofessional establishment and they need to better train their employees on the jobs they were hired to do. I highly suggest they review the qualifications of their hired technicians and/or only approve appointments within their limited capabilities. This is literally the worst experience I have ever had with my car, or any car, for that matter. I took my car here to get an oil change and ever since they touched my car it has been leaking oil. Prior to this, I had no leakage at all. I know for sure because I park in my garage and did not have stains until after they changed my oil. I had my boyfriend take the car back to midas to see if maybe they didn't tighten something all the way since the leak was bad enough to cause very noticeable stains. When I took the car back, they initially said if they messed anything up then they would fix it. After looking at the car for a while, they said they could not determine where the leak was coming from but that they cleaned the engine off and to bring it back as soon as it leaks again. They tried to have us pay $65 dollars for this but we refused. The VERY next day we took the car back in and they said it was normal wear and tear. I don't understand why, if it was normal wear and tear, they wouldn't have said that the 1st time we brought the car back for the leak. They said it was the crankshaft that needed to be replaced. I paid them $295 on 12/3 to completely replace the crankshaft. I picked my car up at 5pm. I came home and parked in my garage. About an hour later I left to go to the store and lo and behold: my car was still leaking oil. I've even attached a photo so you can see the old oil stains and the new ones. Save yourself the frustration and headache. I don't know how anyone could royally screw up regular maintenance such as an oil change. I have a Chevy equinox so it is a fairly standard car that should not have been this much of a hassle! They really deserve 0 stars. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I will never patronize this franchise again. read more
