El Churreria El Moro has some of the best churros I have ever tried. With over 15 location in Mexico City, there is bound to be one near you when visiting Mexico City. 4 churros ($60 Mxn = $3.35 USD) These churros were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, warm, and dipped in some cinnamon and sugar. Cooked in vegetable oil, these tasted incredible! Chocolate dip ($30 Mxn = $1.67 USD ) While the chocolate dip was on the pricier side, I did enjoy dipping my churros in the rich and smooth tasting chocolate. Overall, El Moro is a must visit! Fortunately for me, they have a location in southern California, so I can get my churro fix! This location only had 2 tables, but most people were getting their orders to go, and eat on the run.

Bought a Moro tote bag as a memento because why not. They have locations all over the city so no excuses. New fav for sure.

It was the last day of the trip and we finally got here. Growing up, getting a churro at the fair was a highlight of the year. Many of them were very good. Rarely were they light. These are The line was short, the churros perfect. They were crisp, light, and clean tasting. With some dipping sauce, perfect. We have local places here doing gourmet churros, but they don't have the simple perfection El Moro has.
Churros and hot chocolate? Really what could be better? Even on a spring morning after completing 10 kilometers on a bike, churros can make the body feel better. The hot chocolate was the bonus! This entire complex is grand, and we decided to check out everything while we were here. We had never really considered churros until we came upon this little restaurant that was in the midst of 25+ other restaurants. It was somewhat early to go for a lunch, and the churros on display here looked too tempting to pass up. There are definitely other options in the city for churros and I can't say that I would necessarily make a special trip all the way out here for these churros. But if you happen to be near the plaza, this churrería is definitely worth checking out. These churros are fresh!
These are tasty and fresh! Loved watching them be made in front of me. They are vegan (no preference) and you can pick white sugar or cinnamon sugar. Prices are perfect! Service was very slow but I saw there were a lot of DoorDash orders. No where to sit so just walk up, order and go.
El Moro in Polanco is one of my favorite stops in Mexico City. I always make time for it when I'm in town. On my last visit, I had just finished a long walk through a few nearby parks, and the weather had turned a little cold -- the kind of day that practically demands churros and hot chocolate. There are a bunch of churro options on the menu, but I always go with the classic cinnamon and sugar mix, dipped in chocolate sauce, with a regular hot chocolate on the side. The hot chocolate here is something special. I don't know how to describe it exactly, but it just hits differently. It's rich and warm and somehow perfect, especially when the weather cools off a bit. I'm back home now and still thinking about it. Before I left, I went back and got a bunch of churros to go for my coworkers. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and even gave me an extra churro to try a flavor I hadn't tasted yet. That kind of gesture just makes a great place even better. If you're in Mexico City, El Moro is a must. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, it never disappoints.
Great churro spot nearby the Anthropology Museum! The strawberry milkshake was delicious and the bag of churros was warm, fresh and crispy! While waiting for my order I enjoyed watching the staff make the churros from scratch. Would highly recommend going to one of the El Muro locations around CDMX!
After finished my lunch at El Turix tacos, I came across this churros place and glad I made a try. Both of the churros and coffee that I ordered, were very fresh (made by orders).
24 hour hot and fresh churros and hot chocolate. Do I really need to say anything else!?!? This is a small in and out type shop with limited seating inside and outside. You can buy a churro package 4 churros and 1 hot chocolate for 118 pesos. The churros are constantly being made and are always fresh and the perfect texture. They have various types of hot chocolate drinks to accompany your churros. Be warned depending on the time this place may be packed. I had churros at around 11pm and found service to be quick and no line. This is the perfect after dinner dessert. This is also a very popular area so you can just walk around and site see while enjoying your little sweet treat.
Another must hit in Mexico City. After breakfast we stopped by to get some fresh, absolutely delicious churros at Churrería El Moro @churreriaelmoro . It is such a great crunchy, soft bite. Ours were cinnamon sugar (the best) and we dipped ours in chocolate sauce which added a beautiful slightly bitter, deep flavor. This is a service counter, very fast and friendly. This is a grab and go type place but they do offer a few seats that are outdoor (one indoor). Definitely worth a stop on your next MXCD adventure!
Delicious churros, and the chocolate and cajeta dips are perfect! That location is very pleasant with a bright interior, very clean lines and a couple tables outside.

Heard good things about this churro chain in Mexico City. My friend wanted to get churros here so I agreed. The churros on their own were perfect! However the dipping sauces left a bit to be desired. They were not fresh unfortunately but came in little packages. They were kind of thick and hard to "dip". We had to kind of scoop the sauce with the churro. It was easier to just dunk the churro in the hot chocolate we got. However the hot chocolate was very sweet and then became even more so with the sugar from the churros. The service was very friendly and the place was cute! read more
El Moro is a place that specializes in churros and their first locations were originally in Mexico City. In the past few years, they've expanded to the US in two locations in Southern California. I wanted to see if it was any different in Mexico. The answer is a resounding yes. They're hot and crispy, while maintaining a fluffy center that you just can't find easily in the US. Their dips are pre packaged here. I like cajeta and condensed milk, but chocolate is also a top seller. My wife got an ice cream churro sandwich with mango ice cream. She loved it. The ice cream was creamy and the churros hot. We don't remember ordering this at home, but she really liked it. Most likely I'll be coming back before I go home. read more

They are good. BUT I know I've had better . Not enough sugar and cinnamon for me. The chocolate dip wasn't as chocolatey as I wanted . But the CaJeta and the condensed milk was amazing read more

There are many El Moro locations all throughout CDMX but we stopped by this location for some churros + coffee after our lunch at Pujol. I love churros and these did not disappoint. We ordered 4 churros with traditional Mexican dipping/sipping chocolate and condensed milk dip to share between the 4 of us. The perfect amount after a pretty bit lunch. The churros were light and crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The Mexican chocolate was light and airy with the perfect amount of chocolate. The cafe con leche was okay and could be a pass. Super simple menu and fairly priced. We ordered right at the window and waited for our order to be called. A few outdoor seating options right out front. read more

CDMX Eats EOne of the first places I fell in love with while I was in Mexico City. My favorite thing on the menu was the consuelitos which are mini churro ice cream sandwiches. You can pick which ever flavor ice cream you'd like to fill em with but my favorite hands down was the Turron ice cream (as you can see I had to grab a whole tub) OMG fire!! Freshly made Churros while you wait not more than 5 minutes. This is pure heaven. I first herd of El Moro from a friend that visited CDMX before and when asking for suggestions, they suggested this place. They have many locations but I was able to stumble on this place while going to other shops in this mall. Located in the Palacio de Hierro shopping mall, this is a tourist shopping mall or people that have a little bit more disposable income to spend. Very nice and very clean and very safe. El Moro is located on the 3rd floor I believe. Its on the same floor as the food court and other small shops where you can buy food. Your place your order with the cashier and then wait off to the side for a few minutes and you get your Churros. I got the bite size ones because they were easier to eat than the super long ones. Also they were easier to dunk in the chocolate dip. Next time I'll try the condensed milk dip. But you also have to coat it in cinnamon sugar always. Over all, worth trying out the small bite size pieces and sitting on the patio. I will definitely be back. read more
Churros. Yum yum. These were super fresh, nice and hot, crispy and soft. We ordered them with cinnamon sugar and their condensed milk dip. They came with four churros, about 8" long. Totally hit up my yearning for sweets. We sat outside and people watched for awhile. read more

El Moro is a Churrería and has several locations around the city. During my stay in CDMX, I went to the original location in Centro Histórico and the one in Polanco. Centro Histórico has a homier/family owned feel to the restaurant that draws in a crowd. When I went, all the tables were full and the servers were slammed with orders of churros and hot chocolate. Despite this, the servers were efficient and were able to turn their tables relatively quickly. The Polanco location gives off a more grassroots hip/trendy vibe which matches the feel of the neighborhood. Unlike the Centro Historico location which has servers waiting on tables, you have to order these crispy treats via register in Polanco. In Polanco there are 3-5 tables outside the Churreria and majority of people just order the churros to go. Both locations serve quality churros--traditional Mexican dough piped in hot oil. It is a MUST to try at least once while visiting the city. Each order comes with four churros that are about a 8 inches long and are decently priced. It can be shared between two people, though many people who visit El Moro order a plate of their own. Bon Appetit claimed that it was the best in the city and it did not disappoint. I'm originally from Los Angeles where there is a high concentration of Mexican cuisine and have had hundreds of churros in my life and this is by far the best churros I've ever eaten. Served freshly made and warm, I recommend ordering it will the Espana--a hot dipping chocolate which tastes literally like hot fudge. While on the menu, the Espana hot chocolate is marketed as a drink, the two times I ordered it, it was so thick that it was a bit too heavy to consume on its own. If this isn't your jam, they have other hot chocolate options as well. read more

This is a staple for churros in CDMX! Just walking around the mall and ran into this churreria and the smell dragged me over (and the line of people). I ordered the moritos (mini-churros) and they ask you if you want them dusted with only sugar or cinnamon sugar. I opted for cinnamon sugar and they were great... a good portion to share with someone if you are not greedy! YUM!! read more
I've been wanting to visit El Moro Churreria these last few weeks. I love churros and El Moro does it right. I'll be honest, I went in thinking I would once again, devour anything, and once again, it was too much food! It doesn't help that I ordered the drinking chocolate España (with caramel). Imagine a medium sized coffee cup with molten chocolate. This is not a "hot cocoa" that we make in the microwave (who does that...). For $20 pesos or, about a dollar and twenty cents, I was full and sad to leave something behind. I will most likely visit the other stores as they are not connected to a high end mall. But I will say that eating in Polanco is nice if you sit out on the rooftop patio. Rad! read more
