Not that El Olmeca has ever been that great, but I think it's really fallen off in the last couple of years. The food I order has always been fairly consistent, but my most recent visit wasn't the best. Service was ok, food took an usually long time to come out, a table beside ours got a seafood dish that smelled terrible, and the chips were stale. A refocus on restaurant operations basics I think could do this place some good. read more

This place is an amazing quick place to go if you are craving Mexican. All of the waiters/waitresses are super kind and you are guaranteed great service. The food is amazing and filling. We had Camp as our host and he was great and very nice. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody! read more

Awesome buffet for $8.99 Monday - Friday open to 2pm. Clean and courteous staff too. Bathroom is clean and the wait is always short.

We had the buffet lunch and at no time did half the trays have food in them I would like to comment on the food but we didn't get to try a lot of it what we did try was sub par. It was lunch time so no excuse for empty trays of food. There are other places close by to eat no need to go back here. read more

We moved to Huntsville a few years ago, and this is hands down the best Mexican restaurant we've ever been to. The food is incredibly delicious. The homemade salsa alone is worth a trip. The fajitas are quite possibly the most enjoyable experience a person can have with food. Their prices are extremely affordable. Their Fajitas for two comes in at under $20 for enough food to stuff 4 grown adults. They also carry some quality mexican beer on tap for less than you can get in any store. Finally, the service is top of the line. Your drinks will never sit empty, and they make sure they take good care of you, without it ever feeling pushy or overboard. El Olmeca is the best place to eat when you want authentic Mexican. Nothing else even comes close. read more

The food is consistently good. However, the customer service needs help. Many times we had a couple waiters who act as if they don't want to be bothered or want to be there. Our last visit was most likely our last.... I had small children who needed to use the restroom shortly after our food arrived. We left the table for only maybe 5-6 minutes, upon returning to our table our barely touched food was gone. They acted as if it was our fault for leaving our table. We had to wait again for new food to come back out with 2 very hungry kids waiting, and they charged us double. Ridiculous! I'm so disappointed because I love their food but dislike their customer service. read more

This place just opened in Madison. Beware of the margaritas, they're huge!! We got the medium sized ones and it was more than either of us could finish. I'd hate to see their large ones! The food was good too. They have a nice patio on the side of the restaurant. read more
