I started out loving this place at the Colby restauraunt...then they put one in down the street from my house. Woohoo!!! Came here on a Tuesday afternoon around 2 pm - trust me it wasn't crowded. The food was okay - I ordered just a side order chimichanga. I can never seem to eat a full plate. The reason for the 2 stars is I felt the waitress was pushing us out the door. I appreciate when they check back but over 3 times is a bit much. We were walking back to our hotel after dinner when we realized our server was running up the hill to give us back our credit card that we left on the table. Our family is a fan. We used to frequent a different chain establishment and when El Paraiso opened, we decided to give them a try and now we only eat here. The wait staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is good and has a fresh twist to their menu which adds a cleaner flavor to the food. My favs: fresh handmade tortillas, their Mexican slaw, and the Sangria (the Margaritas are good too but I prefer Sangria.) Love their fish tacos, spinach enchiladas and they'll even cook their fajitas in water for me (instead of butter/oil). Very accommodating and great atmosphere! For everyday American-Mexican, this place is well above average. Food tasted fresh and quality of meat was high. Had Carne Asada, chorizo burrito and quesadilla - all very good though portions are huge. They also have Negro Modelo on tap - always a good sign. read more

My only reason for not rating this a 5 is the owner?/ manager who has always been rude and unfriendly to us. The service here was great! A very cute young boy named Angel opened the door for us. We tipped him on the way out. We got a warmed tortilla before being seated. The food tasted good and authentic, but the portions and flavor were slightly smaller and different than what we are used to at Azteca. The warm chips, bean dip and salsa were delicious. We ordered Chimichangas and Enchiladas. Still, we had half of our food left over to take home for seconds. You can ask for boxes (be very clear about this) if you want to box your own food, but by default they will usually box it for you. It was not my wife's favorite food flavor (e.g. the enchilada sauce flavor) but we both enjoyed the visit. Since the Entertainment book offer is dine-in only, we probably won't be back very frequently but will definitely be back some day. read more

Went in on a Tuesday evening around 4 for my Friends birthday. We decided to both have a drink I had a Margarita and she had a Modela. And we both had food. The waiter was not friendly and was trying to hurry us we had only been there about a half hour. Then the manger was speaking Spanish to the waiter starring at us basically telling him to ask us to leave cause others were waiting.My Freind still had a half of cup o beer. And my Freind was saying quit loud omg they want us to leave.About two min later the manger came over and said if you want to talk you can sit in lobby we have others waiting . We were like no we are staying for a little longer. We had only been. There about 4o min . Very rude never in my 40 years have I ever been asked to leave and the kicker was there was no one waiting when we left the hostess was so confused and sad that we were treated this way . I will never go back and the sad thing is I go there all the time and ordered several times even during COVID. read more

When I first discoverd this place I would have given it 4 or 5 stars. It your basic Mexican restaurant that appeals to the gringo. It's not authentic, but its good (the closest to authentic that I've ever had in Washington are the Taco trucks along Hwy 99). Love the endless supply of chips, salsa and bean dip. Trying something new is good. I actually liked the experience but I think I would have it better without the kids. Its very family oriented. Service was slow as expected at a mexican restaurant my lower score is because of the cost. The food is good. But the price is too much. In my opinion, this is the best Mexican in the Everett/Mill Creek area. Located right in downtown Everett, this restaurant has excellent service. My boyfriend and I went for dinner on a Friday night. We were seated quickly, after making a stop at the front area to grab a homemade flour tortilla with butter and salsa. A woman makes them fresh for you, right there. Chips and salsa/bean dip is delivered to your table right away. The portions are great and plated beautifully. The servers work well together: cleaning tables as soon as you're finished, filling your drink, etc. We will definitely be back! read more
