Tucker Jaxon just days after his disc repair.
    Tammi B.

Our dog suffered a ruptured disc and we just knew we were going to have to let him go. Dr. Bowens was confident that he could repair it and give him many more years of wonderful life. He is now walking again on his own and doing wonderfully. We could not be more thankful to Dr. Bowens and to the staff. Everyone absolutely loved our Tucker Jackson and were very kind and helpful. Could not recommend them more.

Annie Belle Rose the day after she came home

I'm just going to cut to the chase -- Dr. Koplos is absolutely amazing. He has truly been given a gift from God, and he uses that gift to heal others. The long of it... My precious Yorkie, Annie Belle, suddenly became very ill. At first, I thought it was something minor like anxiety since another of my furbabies had recently gotten sick. But it turned out to be something much more serious -- her gallbladder. I'd heard people say before, "If you want the best, you'll use Dr. Koplos," but I never really gave it much thought. I had never needed a vet for something as major as gallbladder surgery or biopsies. But here I was. Two years ago, I lost my son, Jonathan David, to medical negligence. I have never been the same. That devastating loss created a deep fear of doctors -- human and animal alike. I've always been a researcher, but after losing my son, that instinct became even stronger. When I learned Annie might need gallbladder surgery, I was terrified. Everything I read said there was only a 50/50 survival rate. My heart sank. But then I spoke with Dr. Koplos. He didn't minimize the situation, and he didn't boast. He explained the procedure clearly, with confidence and compassion. His calm, steady reassurance eased a fear I thought was unshakable. This man is incredible. If I could give him lifelong happiness, all the money in the world, or more years to share his gift -- I would. He reminded me that real compassion still exists, and that is truly invaluable. I also want to recognize Aaron, a Vet Tech, whose kind and gentle heart made a world of difference. In one of the scariest moments of my life, he calmed my fears and offered a compassion he may never realize the impact of. I am genuinely in awe of the wonderful team at the El Paso Animal Emergency Clinic. I couldn't possibly list them all, but every single one of them was truly amazing. If your furbaby ever needs a biopsy, surgery, or any serious care, I can say with 100% faith: Dr. Koplos is the one I trust with my babies. And that means everything to me.

DO NOT LET THIS TECH HANDLE YOUR PET. Locks the door on you during labs then leaves without finishing when you question him. Unprofessional!

This place is HORRIBLE!!! It's not even about what they charge, I would pay anything for my pet but the service they provide is unlike anything I've ever experienced. Please avoid this place if you can! The Doctor was the only decent person during the entire visit and actually handled our puppy with care... but the techs...MY GOD, they were the absolute worst every single one! They are SO rough with the animals, the way they handled them is questionable, forcing pets who are clearly in pain or scared and they don't care..zero empathy and they get angry and defensive when you question them or ask why they are doing what they are doing (red flag)! They techs here are extremely unprofessional, rude, and impatient towards the pet parents. They tell you to wait outside the room while they do labs then physically lock the door behind you and you can do nothing when you hear the dog yelping in pain, that's their policy... to lock owners out because it's a "liability" and "traumatizing" ....because that makes a whole lot of sense. When he finally unlocked the door I told the tech not to lock the door next time and that I'd be recording the rest of the visit. He immediately slammed the swabs down grabbed the paperwork and said "I'm done, someone else can do it" and just left - got that on video too which I would love to show! This guy should not have his job PERIOD. I wish I got his name but I'm including his photo. Request someone else immediately before he handles your pet or straight up abandons you and leaves you and your pet there with nothing. You want all this money payment up front but physically lock the owners out of the room and get mad when they record the visit? More red flags! What are ya'll trying to hide? They have some extremely poor and shady business practices that they think they can get away with because they're the only 24hr place in the entire city of El Paso and Las Cruses. Nah...I've seen so many other bad reviews that there's got to be something we all can do to put a stop to this!! I would absolutely NEVER EVER EVER go to this place again if I didn't have to.

My dog…read morehad severe diarreah and vomiting over the course of a few days and nothing we were doing was working. We put her on a completley bland diet with no luck and I finally made the choice to bring her to the clinic. The check in process was simple and easy. They were able to see us 3 hours sooner than the original expected time. The tech working that night (who was a recent hire) was detailed, empathetic, and bubbly. She heard out all of our concerns and was very gentle with my dog. The vet we saw, Dr. Brandi McClellan, was extremley thorough and patient. She came in and was very commincative with what she thought was happening and what she wanted to do to address the issues. She opened up the floor for us to ask any questions and never made me feel like she was rushing to get out of the room. Before proceeding with any treatment, they give you a full estimate of costs to make sure there are no surprises. I thought the pricing was fair and expected for the situation. (Roughly $680.00 which included full exam, afterhours fee, labs, biohazard disposal, IV fluids, IV nausea medication, IV antibiotics, and two prescribed meds to take home). After 2 days, my dog has improved to 80% if her normal self (Dr. said it could be 24-48 hours) and I could not be happier to see her finally eating and playing again. I would come here again in the future for any other pet emergenices.

But they are fast to charge you and take your money before doing anything. HORRIBLE just ridiculous. Unfortunately when our fur babies get sick where do u turn to if not put up with places like this where they only care about the money and not your beloved pet. Never again.

I can see im an outlier here, but trust me, im not making anything up…read more... Ive been visiting Dr. Martinez for almost two years for my vet needs. I dont come from money, but i will spend whatever i have to so my dogs are healthy (within reason). Having said that, i have never been 100% satisfied with Dr.M's care, and as of this latest visit, i dont think i will ever be going back. My experiences with her clinic began when my then 7 yr old female GSD mix had a serious bout of skin irritation, and after being conned out of almost 200$ by Dr. Wentworth on Montana for a 5 minute "exam", some lame jokes, and a handful of antibiotic pills, i decided to try her out. I have experience with a half dozen vets around el paso, and for various reasons, i dont go to any of them anymore (NONE of the issues are due to nonpayment on my part). Before i continue, i must give credit where it is due. The first visit i had with Dr.M was on a day she doesnt typically see regular patients, but has designated those days as surgery days, and she spent about an hour or so talking with me and looking at my dog. I was grateful, and this is the main reason why i continued to see her even though NOT ONE of the exams she performed on my dog was complete. Dr. M NEVER ONCE got a good look at the underside of my dog, or her private parts, which are two areas where i had the most concern about with her skin irritation. NEVER ONCE put her on the table in the room and took a good look at her. Also, I always got the feeling that she was afraid of my dog, who has never hurt anything in her life. i felt obligated not to rock the boat so that my dog could at least receive SOME treatment rather than NONE. Dr. M has limited knowledge of the true causes of skin irritation, and just wrote it off as another seasonal allergy. This is the conclusion i reached because the alternative is admitting that she knows how to truly fix my dog, but chooses to only attack the SYMPTOMS so that i will continue to come back. After about 6 months of BI WEEKLY visits,(and nearly 1000$ later) my dog's skin returned to normal... for a while. Didnt take more than 3 or 4 months for the skin irritation to come back but this time i decided to trust my instincts and find a fix on my own. Knowing that when a dog has an upset stomach biome it can force the immune system to go into hyperdrive AND CAUSE ALL THE SYMPTOMS MY DOG WAS EXPERIENCING, i elected not to return to the vet just yet. Instead, i researched products and came across some chews designed to readjust their gut biome and calm the immune system and all the inflammation it was causing. SHE GOT BETTER WITHOUT MEDICATION. Unfortunately, due to money restraints, i havent been able to finish clearing up the issue yet as a steady stream of the supplements is needed to properly correct the problem for good, and she can stop taking them. Now that brings us to the BIGGEST reason i am writing this review. Same dog of mine got pregnant. Gave a litter of 7. As of now they are 2 1/2 weeks old. I am extremely protective of them and i spend every waking moment in their presence. I am not working a conventional job currently, so i have the luxury of being able to care for them 24/7. Unfortunately, what comes along with being an attentive parent is a bit of paranoia when things dont seem right. My pups began having some bad, discolored diarrhea with little white spots in it. Reading up on it i found it could be nothing, or it could be WORMS. So i take a stool sample to the Dr. and tell her all about my concerns. Now, i begin to feel she doesnt actually care about anything but the money. As we were discussing the possibilities of what could be happening to them, and the course of treatment, i discovered that the "Christian" facade she puts forth is just that, a facade. During the discussion about said worms, which can be deadly to pups especially, she informed me of needing to bring them all in for visits before she could prescribe the meds. Not an issue in itself, aside from the fact that in this moment of need i only had 40$ to work with, but upon hearing that she became a bit cold. I asked her if we could set up a payment plan, for a bill that would be less than 200$, and save 7 pups. SHE SAID NO. Now, obviously, a vet making a payment plan with a NEW customer would be a risky decision, as there is no rapport and no way of truly knowing that they will make good on the debt incurred by her services. But as ive stated, i have been seeing her for nearly TWO YEARS. As a matter of "policy", she claims NOBODY gets a payment plan under her because shes been burned before. She is afraid to lose money due to non payment, but i wonder, HOW MUCH DOES SHE CALCULATE SHE WILL LOSE BY TELLING LOYAL CLIENTS SHE WONT HELP THEM WHEN THEY NEED IT?? IF SHE TRULY CARED ABOUT THE ANIMALS, SHE WOULD ALLOW EXISTING CUSTOMERS A PAYMENT PLAN OPTION IN EMERGENCIES!! I hope this helps someone make the right decision for their pets.

When he originally got his cast, I had drawn a little heart on it that said "Mom loves you." When they had to recast his foot today, the staff paid attention to that small detail and put a heart on the new cast for me. That meant more to me than they probably realize. It showed compassion, attentiveness, and that they truly care about both their patients and the people who love them. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. FULL OF CHISMOSAS. Very terrible experience. The ladies in the back lie and gossip about customers. The recepcionist does not call you to the front to communicate with you, she yells across the desk 3 times to say the same thing as if you cannot hear. They also do not mind their business, we were referred to by another DR who is supposedly friends with this DR, yet this DR gets mad when we say that his friend from El Paso Veterinary Hospital is also a good doctor. My mom met a retired friend from customes and mentioned how we were sent here. Than the recepcionist lied and started we told people not to come here. After we recommended they spend more money on this location got a biopsy. I asked for camera proof, in which they refused to show proof. The Doctor refused to come speak to us as my mom explained that she was mentioning who sent us. DO NOT GO HERE. THE LADIES SPEAK BAD ABOUT YOU IN THE BACK BC AS WE WERE PAYING THE "SUPERVISOR" WALKED OUT AND LIED AND DENIED EMERGENCY SERVICES. So that means they were all in the back lying and discussing. To add insult to injury, our friend whome is dealing with an issue with their dog, they didnt even bother to close their door, allowing all the people in the lobby to hear devastating news.
