This place is a rip-off. My son went in with a torn toe nail, should have been seen to by a nurse or PA, but supposedly he was seen by a Doctor and was charged $800 dollars to basically tape the toenail to the toe and administer a pain killer. What he wasn't told until he got the bill, was that he was charged $1,600 just to walk into the building. A building usage fee! This IS NOT an urgent care facility which are approved by most insurances. My son had insurance and the bill was still almost $1,700 dollars. If you don't have insurance go to the county hospital, if you have insurance and need urgent care, go to an urgent care place. Always check with your insurance first but stay away from this place. read more

I came here twice, once to get treated for a nasty dog bite and 6 days later to get a staple removed (the other 2 my MD partner removed himself at home, but we had a complication with the last one - it had imbedded itself pretty complexly into my wound, so I had to come back here for more help). Both times I was seen very promptly, received excellent, compassionate care from the receptionist, nurses and doctors. Both visits had completely different staff and each time I had a great experience, despite the unfortunate events which led me there in the first place. I felt very well taken care of and not that I'd like to have to come back here, but if I have an emergency again this place will be my first choice. I'm surprised at the negative reviews and I'm sorry to hear about these negative experiences, but I would 10/10 recommend this place. I went to this ER suffering from clinical signs of Food Poisoning and Dehydration. The check in was quick, and the receptionist walked me back herself to an available room. I was triaged by a Paramedic who was very nice and tried to keep my talking so I wouldn't black out. He was able to anticipate what the Dr. would mostly likely want and made sure it was ready when he received verbal confirmation. Dr. Ibarra made sure that I was watched under observation until I felt able enough to go home. I was constantly checked on and re-evaluated throughout my stay. They helped me so much, now to get over this Food Poisoning. read more

Been here many times, fast, no wait, accepted my insurance every time, will be back for any emergency. Last time I ate nuts and had a severe allergic reaction, Thank you for staying open during this pandemic, many medical facilities had to close in El Paso due to the COVID virus. I rate this place 0. Do not go here, I originally went to Upper Valley Urgent Care but got impatient and called to see if there was a wait here. I got there and it was completely empty. Yet, the Dr didn't come see my daughter until 2 hours later...I ended up leaving bc after the Dr said they would start an IV and left the room no one came. I got up and walked out of the room to ask what was going on, the 2 nurses looked at me and said. The person in another room tested positive for covid so you might want to put on a mask. They delete negative reviews on Google. Beware. My husband was seen here for an abscess and sent home with antibiotics and over 100° fever. This was after they supposedly did and incision and drainage procedure. His fever didn't go down and he still felt awful. We went to another provider where they said they made less than a mm incision on a 3mm X 2mm abscess. They didn't pack the area either. Standard practice is an incision the length of the abscess to ensure proper drainage and then packing the area so it can close properly without infection getting trapped inside. So they provided inadequate care that could have led to septic shock if not properly treated. Then, they charged us $19,000. With insurance that they accepted. As someone in the medical field, I was not only appalled with the standard of care but the fact that he was billed multiple times for the same thing on the itemized bill and that the prices were so exorbitant for improper treatment that the bill was $19k. read more

I wish I would of read everyone's reviews before coming here. After being in a car accident we came here. Nothing but a damn highway robbery is what they are!!! They want to use every piece of equipment on you and charge you all they can!!! It's a damn scam!!! And us as patients put out trust in them for having our best interest in mind but it's the opposite they are simply trying to squeeze the most out of you. I paid a bill about 3 week after accident. Just received another bill for close to $700, 3 months later!!! Seriously they are insane!!! They also took forever with us. Lastly after 10 minutes and 4 nurses and doctors none of them could give my daughter an IV!!! That's when we told them enough is enough was all this test and scan necessary!!! Like I said... I had to go to Sun City ER to have my toenail reattached, very friendly & professional. Then you get the bill. They send you the first bill for the doctor, in my case it was $800.00. I said, do you offer payment plans, or patient assistance of any kind? She said, no, but hold on. Then she came back & said, if you pay now it's $500. Then a couple weeks go by & they send me another bill for $1,686. So I call again & they say that this is for the facilities. (WTF???) So you pay more to walk in the door than you do to see the doctor & get it fixed. If you choose to go to Sun City ER, know that they are going to rape you financially. read more

Stratospheric EXPENSIVE, I went to this place in a Sunday evening, my soon had a small accident playing and hit on his head, and had a bit of blood. We stayed at the room for a about 30 minutes while waiting for a doctor after checking insurance paper work, and sign forms (never do that), Doctor said he was fine, just clean the wound and no need of anything else, then we went home. The bill came for around $3,000 dollars, I went and spoke to the Mgr. Mr. Moreno, he argue this is an Emergency Room and not an Urgency Room, besides he said I need to call to the Medical Billing Co. which it has the address on Houston, the Mgr. did not had the best customer service said he can not do anything else. Billing company was worse, and I ended up paying the full amount. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! read more

Worst emergency room ever! They don't care about your emergency they care about your MONEY! My husband fell and hit his head really bad so I decided to take him to this place. First of all they didn't even cared about what had happened. First thing they asked was "can I see your insurance card?" I happened to have it so I gave it to the guy. He looked at it and said "I'll have to check with my supervisor on this one." To which I replied "so, are you going to deny me the service if my insurance doesn't cover this?" He said they wouldn't deny the service but they needed to know if I would be responsible for the charges. I agreed. After a few minutes he comes back and tells me that since my insurance covered the "bare minimum" my unconscious husband needed to sign a letter agreeing to a $500 deposit plus any other charge that may apply during our visit. After having 2 Urgent Care visits and needing to go to an ER (all done out of town), I was sent to Sun City ER. This was truly a God-send. We arrived and were taken straight back. The staff was immediately taking action in preparing me for everything necessary. The staff was professional, skilled and personal. The doctor came in and introduced himself and explained what all was necessary to diagnose the issue. He as well was very personable and knowledgeable. Honestly, there was not one negative about this visit, if we could remove the needlework :-) They were great at the needlework, the patient is NOT a fan of needles. Thank you so much for providing a clean, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and welcoming ER for a patient who had not even seen a doctor in over 1 1/2 years. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of medical care. read more

El Paso, TX. Worst staff I've ever had to deal with!! I rushed my pregnant wife to this facility last week. She suffered 2nd degree burns on her tummy. She was crying and in severe pain. When I asked the receptionist that this was an emergency, she told me (very indifferent as if this was not an emergency at all), "OK, give me your insurance card." and she started typing my information VERY SLOWLY. I was getting very frustrated and told her if she can let us see someone right now!! She replied (with a "I don't care" look in her face): "No until I type all of your information down." Then a nurse approached us (and I was like "finally they're going to take care of my wife") and told us (very defiant): "We can't take care of your wife until we get all of your insurance information. This is a private facility" And I was like WTF! Can you just take care of my wife while I deal with my insurance here???? And she just said (very defiant) "No. If you don't like this, take her to Providence" I was like damn! We left the facility and I finally took my wife to a different emergency room.
