    Paella Mexicana Watermelon margarita
    Renee R.

The food we had was really tasty. We went for lunch on a Sunday after running errands. I had the Paella Mexicano and although the shrimp and chicken were seasoned well, the steak was a bit bland and I realized that I don't like chorizo (too salty). I would order it again without those 2 if possible. Watermelon margarita was GREAT!! Definitely planning to return just to try the drinks especially the seasonal ones. Parking isn't bad. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was nice, typical Mexican restaurant decor, not too loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

3 piece combo. 2 asada tacos and 1 enchilada (no rice/beans)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great decor in low lit area with separate bar and plenty of space and food music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is priced nicely and tastes good. Service was good, but it was a little confusing trying to order specific items. I think you can only order carne asada tacos in groups of two, and chicken, beef tacos are in three. I wanted a 2 enchilada lunch special with rice and beans PLUS a carne asada taco. By the time we went through the scenarios I ended ordering 2 asada tacos and 1 enchilada. Food was good tho. Complimentary chips and salsa were really good too. Will be returning it in the area again. I consider 3 stars a good rating so I have nothing bad to say. 4-5 stars for Mexican food would be for exceptionally great food, but this was definitely good food

El Paso Mexican Restaurant - Flavorful, Fast, and Budget-Friendly If you're on the hunt for authentic Mexican food that won't wreck your wallet, look no further than El Paso Mexican Restaurant! This place is a hidden gem perfect for a quick lunch, casual dinner, or just satisfying that craving for something fresh and flavorful. * Lunch specials? On point. * Portions? Generous. * Prices? Totally budget-friendly. * Service? Super quick and efficient--great for when you're on the go. ‍ I had the lunch fajitas and let me tell you amazing portion, sizzling hot, and packed with flavor. And the salsa? Fresh, light, and the kind that makes you ask for a second basket of chips. If you're looking for a solid, affordable spot with real flavor and fast service El Paso's got you covered. Will definitely be coming back! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very authentic ambiance and very friendly staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It's just ok. Hostess who immediately brought salsa and chips ignored our request for a 2nd bowl of salsa as we sat down. We had to repeat it to the waiter and he quickly served us a 2nd bowl. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bar will seat 4 comfortably. 6 addl high tops near the bar. Plenty of tables for families on the restaurant side[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Chicken enchilada wasn't as flavorful as I hoped for. Mexican rice & beans were good. My margarita was ok. I was charged $11 for 12oz, though I really believe the short glasses are 8oz glass. Parking lot is oddly shaped. You may find a decent spot. Again, just ok.

We had a small group of 9 in remembrance of my wife's mother's passing. We would go to variety of restaurants each year to her liking. The restaurant is located on Rt. 234/Dumfries Rd, just off 95. The exterior has limited of parking, some park in spaces available and some park in the grass. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As you walk in, the interior has a small bar on the left, the main dining room on the right with a loft, seatings are tight but manageable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Friendly staff and good teamwork. We ordered 9 items: 1) Queso dip 2) Queso dip with chorizo 3) Enchiladas verde 4) Birria tacos 5) Mole tots 6) Fajita Texanas 7) Tres leches 8) Churros 9) Poblano burrito. Though the cheese sauce was tasty but unfortunately both of the queso dip (regular) and with chorizo fell flat. They were water down and wasn't at the right consistency. The enchiladas verde was also tasty and a little bland. The birria tacos were mediocre. The mole tots was interesting. The tater tots itself was over fried and hard before it was topped with mole and other components. The texanas fajitas were delicious, will definitely get that again. For the kids meal, were on point. The poblano burrito was tasty but a little bland. All ingredients were separated down the center inside the burrito instead of being incorporated together. For desserts, they ran out of sopapilla (mom's favorite) so we ordered the tres leches and churros. They were both delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Music was playing and it wasn't loud which was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was comfortable and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Check them out.

When it's a Tuesday it's only right you participate in "Taco Tuesday"! Drinks are strong and plentiful and tacos are flavorful and inexpensive. I mean what more can anybody ask for. We tried a variety of tacos: chicken, carne asada, chorizo and shrimp to be exact lol with rice and beans (pinto and black beans). All were cooked well and flavorful. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable of all menu items. If you're in the Dumfries area make sure you check out El Paso.

Came here to celebrate my nieces birthday lunch. Overall I enjoyed the guacamole & chips and the margarita. The super quesadillas that I ordered, the chicken tasted very dry. The queso my in-laws ordered didn't taste like queso at all! The service was ok and they seemed busy at this location.

Bowl with El Pastor - beautifully presented an delicious!

We've lived about a mile from El Paso for 10 years and love it. From the fajitas to the many delicious entrees including the bowls (see photo), it's all good and a favorite with out-of-town guests.

The birria tacos here are top notch. Extremely tasty. It is a comfortable place in a good location. The waitstaff are attentive. I would recommend.

Pupusas are one of my favorite foods, so I ordered two pupusas revueltas and two loroco and cheese pupusas. The pupusas revueltas were good, but the loroco and cheese pupusas were fantastic. And they gave me plenty of curtido--which is one of the best parts of eating pupusas! I also ordered fried plantains and yuca with chicharron. It was all very delicious and very filling. I think I ordered too much. To drink, I ordered horchata. The horchata was very good, but it was not awesome. All in all, I would recommend Mirna's for anybody who likes Salvadoran cuisine.

Mirna Restaurant [MR]. (3.25 stars)…read more Pardon the Alice in Wonderland meets Rocky Horror Show confusion of thoughts that follows... :) Italian & Greek. Sure they have a "Mediterranean" theme. Mexican & Salvadorian. Sure geographically it makes sense. Italian & Mexican. Wait what?! I literally screamed!! Let me explain... I grew up for my formidable years in Worcester MA. My family (parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles except one, aka entire family) were still in HI but I got shipped off because it was supposed to be a boot camp for me so to speak. What a laugh... My uncle couldn't cook to save any of our lives. I am Asian by descent but definitely not a decent Asian. ;) I never knew what Asian food was until well into my high school years (and was forced to move back to HI). I ate at every neighbors house for almost every meal & wouldn't have changed my culinary journeys for the world!! I grew up on a block with 20+ Italian American families, 4 Mexican American families, and 1 (mine) token Asian family. In the 80s Worcester was definitely a version of Little Italy!! But there were some Mexican influences that we as kids got to enjoy. So when I saw MR, I immediately reverted back to my childhood days & had to stop by to check them out. I haven't found many Italian/Mexican restaurants in my travels... There isn't much info on FB, IG, or Yelp. The first thing I noticed as I entered MR is that English was definitely NOT the language spoken by both patrons & the server/bartender. I don't mean any offense by that. Just an observation. :) I will fully admit I'm not an expert as far as Authentic Mexican food is concerned. But as I grow older, supposedly wiser, & definitely more anti-social... I've learned that authenticity, while appreciated & celebrated is not what I look for at the end of my meal. I look for 1) TASTE. 2) TEXTURE. 3) PRESENTATION. That's what makes me satisfied & happy when it comes to any meal (in that order). Italian is & always will be my favorite but Korean & Mexican are a tie for second! (Wasn't always that way)!! Asian food wasn't even on my "list" until my early 30s?! However, I adore Korean Tacos and Kimchi with my pasta so hence my comment about taste vs authenticity. Anywho... I ordered the two items that were recommended by my server. Steak Burrito. (3.5 stars). The steak is cubed but a little tough to chew. However, the burrito is a very generous portion & cheesy. I did find it interesting that the filling also has romaine lettuce & avocados (which is nowhere on the menu description). First time I've had that combo but texturally it worked... crunchy, creamy, chewy...? I do wish the plate was kept under the salamander for another minute to get the cheese melted completely & slightly crispy on the edges... but still a hearty dish. Lengua Tacos. (3 stars). I grew up with a Yucatán influenced version of Mexican food. All of our Mexican American neighbors emigrated from the Yucatán which relies heavily on RED ONIONS. This is why I probably still adore red onions (or any Onions) BUT still cannot stomach white/round/yellow onions!... NOPE. Yuck. I ordered the Lengua tacos & asked that the cilantro & onions be put on the side because I was told that MR uses white onions. Great I thought! Won't have to pilfer through the disgusting white onions!! Ummm... GONG!!! WRONG. The lengua is already cooked together with white onions so just be aware of that when you order it. Asking for the onions on the side was pointless for me. The lengua was tender & had a nice chew. Tortillas were fresh & greatly appreciated. Even though I wasn't absolutely blown away by my first visit. I'll definitely come back to try some other dishes at MR. Perhaps I may try their Italian dishes... Doubtful but the Mexican dishes definitely have some redeeming qualities that have piqued my interest... for at least another round!! Parking is available in a shared lot. I do wish MR well.
