Currently the best taco joint to go to. It's no taco bamba but it'll do. I dined in the other day and the next day I had to get more tacos. We ordered the chimichinga and that was ok, never had one before but it was tasty, would I get it again? Probably not. The tacos was what I came for. I had me the chicken and the asada tacos. Chicken was moist, it was not dried as I thought it would be, the steak was juicy ad well. Thursday for half off tacos!!

When you eat food that just hugs you. This place is located in stafford , rt1. Their waiter greeted me with such a nice and welcoming smile. I think we came at the right time too, cause it was getting busy once we sat down, plus it's the weekend. I ordered pozole, and birria tacos. I made sure I wore a dress, cause you know - this is like thanksgiving for me. I need to hide that FUPA. (lol). Took a little bit for our food to be served. I was in that "i'm about to be hangry mood?" But once it was served ? It was amazing. The pozole was hot and delicious. Toss all the deliciousness in there too. ( onions, cilantro, chili, and that squeeze of lime). It was hugging me with every spoonful bite I make. The meat was so tender. The birria was good too. I would have added a little salt?. The tortilla could have been cooked a little longer too, so it can have that crust of the sauce, but it was okay. Everything was great. Only sad thing was, I wish I can drink. If i wasn't allergic, I would have ordered drinks too. They were making drinks left and right, and man, did it look refreshing!!

Nacho with finger smeared through the sour cream and guacamole that we asked for none of.

First calling this place and speaking to a young very rude woman taking my pick up order. Asking for nachos with only meat, cheese, and chips and getting everything on top and clearly an attempt to remove it judging by the finger smears. My husband arrived to pick up the order and again was greeting with attitude. We will not be going back.

Ricos was really good. I've been to the other two Mexican restaurants in stafford a bunch before and was pleased to hear there was another one to try. You can tell Ricos is authentic the moment you step inside. The service is friendly, but a little slow. Their birria tacos are some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend!

We ordered food twice from Rico Tacos Moya from Uber eats and the food was overall pretty good. We were impressed and excited that we found a good local Mexican spot. We were out today and called in our order over the phone. They asked us to pay and I thought it was to help with COVID precautions. Food was said to be ready in about 25 minutes. Ran into Target grabbed a few items and arrived about 40 minutes later. My husband went in to pick up the food and had to wait another 30 minutes. I think they forgot to place the order but I was surprised since they took payment. The manager or staff never apologized for the wait or anything. We were just going to write it off as a bad night until we got home and realized that half of our order was missing. Churros, taco, chimichanga, and the wraps for my fajitas were missing. At this point I was just going to call to have them to refund me for the missing items since we spent $77. Long story the manager wanted us to come back and pick up the food or come back and get a the refund. My issue was I wasn't leaving back out in the rain with my kids at 8:30pm to pick up half of my order while the other half was getting cold after waiting over an hour to get the food. Also they took my payment over the phone why couldn't I be refunded over the phone and the final straw was I did not have the wraps for my fajitas and they didn't want to take anything off. I told them to keep the food and the money. We will not be returning. Pretty disappointed because the food was pretty good.

    Queso Fundido with chorizo sausage.

Finally decided to give Rico's Taco's a try and I left a bit disappointed. The restaurant is quite large and I was a bit surprised to see it so empty with there being about 30+ tables in the restaurant. The restaurant is bright and well lit with a full bar. I also got the impression it might double as a dance hall / nightclub on weekend nights as there is a DJ set up but I could be wrong so don't hold me to that if you are looking for a place to dance and drink in Stafford. The service was good and my waitress was friendly and attentive to my dining needs and checked in on me from time to time but I was only one of two customers in the restaurant at the time. The thing that disappointed me was the food though. I was given the complimentary chips and salsa but the chips were like a half basket, you run out of chips before the salsa is gone. I know so could have asked for more but I didn't want to risk a full basket and then waste it. I ordered an appetizer of the Queso Fundido with Chorizo sausage and this is where I should have read the description and not assumed it would be your typical served Queso. The Queso Fundido was mozzarella cheese and it was like a semi soft brick of cheese and was not like a melted saucy cheese. It came with 3 flour tortillas and you basically cut up the cheese and chorizo and eat it. Okay, it wasn't bad but it wasn't what I expected either so that is my fault. For my meal I ordered the mixed fajitas with chicken, steak, and shrimp. The fajitas arrived with rice and beans, a plate with lettuce, sour cream, pico, and guacamole. The meats for the fajitas were cut in large chunks and need to be cut down to eat, especially the steak. My disappointment started after I made my first fajita, the chicken was a bit tough which is not something I expected from chicken but I got through it. The second fajita was with the steak and the steak was brutal. The steak was like chewing a piece of rubber, there was no breaking it off as a bite. The third fajita was a shrimp and this was just terrible, it the mixed fajita meal they give you 3 shrimp and burrito open and grill it with the shell still on it. Leaving the shell on it and leaving the shell on made the meat shred as you removed it from the shell and the rest of the meat is stuck to the shell. So you get a teaspoon full of edible shrimp. So in all I would not recommend the mixed fajitas and go with either the chicken or rubber steak, at $18.95 the mixed fajitas are not worth it.

There was a LOT of comments about this one. I have to say, I think it's a bit over-hyped. The salsa is really good. A bit runny, but has a good flavor. We ordered some choriso with queso. The cheese was solid. We had to cut it with a knife and were not able to dip the chips in it. I had the steak tacos, which were very tasty, but they were a bit stingy with the meat. They were pretty small tacos. This is not bad at all, but after reading so many comments, my expectations were a bit higher than what I got. The waitstaff were friendly and the place was comfortable, though.

Amazing every single time. I love bringing people here for their tacos & their menudo is incredible too.

    Supposed to be Horchata

No... just don't. VA "mexican" has done it again, over promised and under delivered. The chips and salsa... weis chips warmed served with mild pace picante sauce? The Horchata... watery and pretty sure it's just a mix, nothing original or flavorful about it. Ordered three street tacos, carnitas, pastor and asada, all with cilantro and onions. Tacos served with a duo of interesting salsas. A red one with an odd flavor of liquid smoke and heat. The green sauce was served hot though had a pretty decent flavor with good heat, this should be served with the chips. Carnitas was fatty and therefore the only flavor tasted other than onion. Pastor was... well, tasted like it was tossed in a sweet BBQ sauce. Asada was okay, though a bit over cooked and tough. Why anyone would suggest this place has good tacos or otherwise is beyond me. Yet another place that fails to meet any "Tex-mex" standards that should be acceptable. Won't give this place another chance, so just move along and save your disappointment.

    Chicken Quesadilla

Right off the bat, no silverware is provided unless you ask for it. Had to remind multiple times about drink refills and chips & salsa (still never got it). I ordered the chicken quesadilla and there was absolutely no seasoning on the meat. The flavors are nonexistent and it's pricey.

They grew too fast, got too wild with their menu and ultimately used to do a very poor job in delivering a quality product. So, this one opened not too long ago and I decided to give it a try. The verdict - Nothing's Changed... Still pretty horrible. I should have known, given the poor reviews I saw about this location, but decided to try it for myself. The lettuce in our salads was wimpy, not crunchy and fresh. The rest of the ingredients were very similar in texture and quality. The chicken in my salad looked odd, almost transparent. The soup I got was a glob of mess, with not much flavor, but loaded with thickener. The baguette they give was good on the inside, but the outside was rubbery, not any form of crunchy. The lobby needed attention, as when I went to throw away our (1/2 uneaten lunch, as it wasn't worth the calories), the plate/trash area was piled with plates and has some sort of liquid spilled all over the floor. Overall - Definitely will be many years before I return for another try.
