That's an absolutely horrible, terrible and awful place from the point of service view. When you come for an appointment at 10:00, be sure that you will get seen at 13:00. Nobody cares about your working schedule or that you had to cancel things in order to come to them. These people call you whenever they want NOT complying with any order! If you had to choose between dying from pain and being seen at this hospital - go for the first option, at least it will be faster!

I was scheduled to have back surgery, but then Army stuff happened so it got postponed. Then, new MRIs and the Army doc was like DANG BRO! You need surgery bad. So it was scheduled, and then COVID hit; postponed. So then NEW Army doc months later was like SHEESH BRO - you need surgery. I'm over here rolling my eyes like duhhhh. However, he also said look man, you're broke. But you're 38. If I do this surgery now, there's only a 50% chance it'll work. And if you are in the 50% chance that it works, it's only going to work to bring you back to 80% functional. And, to top it off, if I do it, it'll cause the rest of my back (spine) to compensate and work harder, which will accelerate its degenerative process... meaning within about 10 years (still not even 50), I'd be a candidate for surgery AGAIN. So, because I'm just too young and there's too many risks, I opted out for now. However, it's a broken back and I have to feel better - after all, albeit in my 21st year, I'm still an active duty Soldier. So, the doc set me up with physical therapy to help (which it doesn't hurt but doesn't help)... and he referred me to this off post pain management clinic. The stuff here is lovely! Literally, al the ladies are lovely in appearance and behavior. Supper friendly and personable. The doc here is caring, attentive, and truly interested in helping me "feel" better, understanding I can't actually get better. He reviewed my MRIs, listened to everything i have to say about how I feel, and gave me some meds. The meds, didn't work. But instead of just shrugging like ohh well, he again met with me and came up with another more aggressive plan, with better meds that don't work, but do help. And furthermore, they are giving me injections, which are supposed to be great and last longer, and alleviate the making of pills I have to take which is destroying my liver lol. What else I liked about this place: before even being seen, they made me take a urinalysis (piss test). To some this might be annoying, but here's why it's done: this place is for pain. Often for pain they have to issue you controlled substances (narcotics). So they want to see what's in your system, so they can better understand if you're illegally using drugs and what kind. This way, they'll know if you might be here trying to get drugs for the wrong reasons. Or even understand what is in your system before they give you drugs that could hurt you because of what you're already on. Maybe all places do this? The Army doesn't, because we get a piss test every single month anyways... but I felt like the fact they do it here off base, shows responsibility. I liked it. It's weird I know, but it's a level of thoroughness that I appreciated

WEST TEXAS PAIN INSTITUTE!…read more So, this is the same WTPI as the one I've been going to for nearly 5 years now, specifically for my back injuries (FYI VETS, the Army / Tri-Care approves and funds my visits to this place, while serving and now as a retiree). Well, perhaps I shouldn't say this is the SAME place, as clearly it's a different location, however it is in fact the same WTPI, and same exact doctor (tri care is picky about that). What they've done is open a brand new (and very nice I might add), location in the northeast side of El Paso. This location is inside the also brand new McCombs medical plaza, right off McCombs and Gateway N. Pretty smart to be honest - as the NE (well this part of the NE), hosts probably more veterans than any other side of EP. And if there is one thing that is synonymous with veterans, it's disability (and pain) lol. This location makes sense based on the client base. All the things I've said in my review of WTPI still stand true, as again, this is the same staff, same Doc, just a newer, fancier, nicer and much closer (not exaggerating when I say I can walk here from home), location.

Dr sozer said he needs to add rib cartilage to my nose which he did. I got necrosis in the front of my nose also an infection. I was driving every week to get it checked out by de sozer. After it healed i had a hole in the front on my nose that he kind of repaired later. Also one of my nostrils was or still is droopy. He added ear cartilage to one of the sides where you can see a lump. So after two years as you can see on the last two pictures, this is my result. He told me on my last visit that I just need to wear a retainer at night which has not been helping at all. I asked him if he would post me in hes social media and he said "no one post secondary rhinoplastys" I told him I paid over 15k dollars for this? And that I had already went to see another doctor that wants to charge me 9k to fix this. Then he said he could add fat to my nose where is droopy. And he would cut my front scar again. I believe this would not fix the issue because my nostrils is droopy and adding more weight to that side is probably going to make it worse. also I can't breathe properly though that side. I feel super bad about this. I wish I never went here. Please I beg you save your money dont come with this doctor.

The ER doctor took a video of my sons hand and sent it to an Ortho doctor, Dr. Kathleen Robertson. She told the ER doctor that my son needed surgery immediately due to the severity of the cut and him being unable to move his fingers. She said to have him transported to the hospital and she would do the surgery when he arrived. I didn't have time to research an orthopedic surgeon and I was so scared that whoever did the surgery would mess something up and my son wouldn't have function in his hand. My son is an ice hockey goalie so having use of his hand is crucial. When we arrived at the hospital and met Dr. Robertson she was this amazing person. So down to earth and comforting. Before she took my son to surgery she said she wanted to say a prayer together. Dr. Robertson, my son, myself, 2 nurses and the anesthesiologist all held hands while she said a prayer. I had this feeling come over me, both more anxious but comfort at the same time. My son was truly blessed to have Dr. Robertson as his surgeon. She saved his hand. He has full range of motion and is able to do everything again that he could before the accident. Had she not have responded so quick to the ER doctor my son more than likely would not have had such an amazing outcome. During all of my sons follow-up appointments she never rushed us. She always explained everything completely, just like before and after his surgery, and she answered all the questions we had, as well as encouraged my son by being so optomistic. She spoke with him since he was the patient but would also speak with me, his mom. Most surgeons just want to do a surgery and move on but Dr. Robertson is not one of those. Besides being an amazing surgeon she is an amazing person. She is compassionate and truly cares about what she does and her patients. She always made my son feel like he mattered. Even though he was 13 (10 days after surgery he turned 14) she spoke to him professionally but used terminology he would understand. And she thoroughly explained what she was telling him. She always greeted my son, as well as myself. After the surgery, she also acknowledged and greeted my mom who was waiting with me during the surgery. When my son had follow-up appointments she asked how we were doing, including my mom. She remembers everything that occured in previous appointments. When my son was going through Occupational Therapy, she was constantly in touch with Noah, my sons OT. She stayed on top of his treatment and progress. She is truly one in a million. My son, as well as myself, adore her and will forever be grateful to her. She was in El Paso when she treated my son but she is now the hand surgeon at Mountain View Regional Hospital in Las Cruces, NM. If you need a hand surgeon look no further! You have found her!
