My review is for the reviews. You folks get 1 star or less. The place is hot too hot to eat here. Salsa verde is not supposed to be the Ecuadorian salsa that's made with habanero peppers yet that's what this is, it's too hot and void of tomatillos. The carnitas were bits of grilled pork that were super chewy and included the gristle. The menu is not very informative as it described the Sopes,Huaraches and another dish exactly the same. Every dish on the specials were Shrimp dishes. I believe they are all 10.00 which is a great deal. Prices are very reasonable. The counter girl is not very informative as she was not taught and is not Mexican (she's from Ecuador) Super nice though even if she did not put utensils in the to go bag. Would I return if in the area? Highly doubt that. If this is the best Taco place in rockland county then Monsey serves the best ham and cheese sandwiches . read more

Wonderful little restaurant! Delicious carnitas with what's clearly handmade tortillas and the liveliest salsa verde I've ever tasted. I took out 3 carnitas and a generous order of beans and rice for later for around $10. One of my gripes up here (on vacation again) is nearly everyone is making and selling the same chicken cutlet sandwiches and overpriced Italian subs. Eat their food! You will not be disappointed. There's 6 or so parking spots across the street. I will definitely be back. read more

This is NOT a full service restaurant, although they do have tables and they will bring you your food. If you're a food service snob, you're going to have a bad time. They do, however, have delicious food. They have the best tacos in the area, IMO, and there are at least four other authentic taco places within a few blocks. Their tortas are really good, also. The food is fresh and fast. I work with several "ethnically-challenged" guys and we can always find something for everyone and the cooks happily accomodate to the tastes of even our most hardened "steak and potato" guys. This small restaurant is in a great location with the river across the street. Although, casual, the blaring rock music or telemundo make the atmosphere caustic to the patron. Service is incredibly sub-par for any establishment with table service. Soda was ordered and 3 cams placed on the table with straws were all we got. Then, it took 20 minutes for our order to be filled. Mind you, all 3 dishes came out at different times and it wasn't until I went to the counter personally did the corn tortillas for the special and carne asada arrive. No chips and salsa. One very small napkin per patron. You have to ask for silverware. No sauces or salsas available for entrees. The portions are generous, but the chewy and overcooked carne asada was disgraceful for any Mexican restaurant. The only star given was for the great corn tortillas which, although late, were fantastic. Don't eat here if you're in a rush or looking for quality or service. read more

Love this place! This is NOT a place where everything tastes the same and is covered with cheese - the chef, Pepe, knows how to bring out the taste in each meal on the menu. We did takeout tonight which saves time as nothing is pre-cooked -everything is cooked to order and takes about 15-20 minutes. I had the chicken tacos which were full of flavor. The tortillas are freshly made and the green sauce was outstanding. My son loves the carne asada which is a huge portion. My wife thought the chimichanga was excellent. We shared guacamole which came with their homemade chips. Do not skip this! It worked out to $12 per person all in which is a solid value for a large full meal cooked to order and bursting with flavor (and leftovers). read more

This is the best taco spot in rockland county hands down . For the price, quantity and quality you will not find better authentic Mexican tacos, I tried .. it's not possible to top el pastor ! I recommend asking for the sautéed green onion as it adds the perfect flavor to the tacos. If you like a little kick trying both the green and red sauce is a must ! As well they are open till 12 pm most days so coming here for a late night bite is unbeatable read more

Ordered my food and was told it would take an hour...after an hour of waiting I called to find out where my order is and was told the delivery person was at my house and tried to call me (which was a lie) and left with my food without even attempting to knock on the door. The girl who took the order had to have her drive back and I wait outside to get my food. When she came to give me my food she had the worse attitude and forcefully pulled the money out of my hand and walked away. Worse service providers ever, from the order taking to delivery...I was a regular customer and will never use them again. Btw I usually don't write reviews (good or bad) but the experience was so bad, I took the time out to. I threw out the food, I didn't trust eating it after the encounter. Giving this one star if that. We have never ordered from here and gotten the order actually correct. I understand there's rush hours and it gets busy. But getting an order wrong every single time we place a delivery or for pick up is disgraceful. They need to change the person who takes orders because clearly that person isn't helping. Today I ordered a chicken sandwich plain with just cheese. And I received soggy chicken with cheese, completely forgot the bread. I'm wondering what type of business they're trying to run here read more

Although not a traditional restaraunt- He started as a food truck!!! Like others have said, dont go here for the service...go for the food! Don't go for the service but do go for the food. The restaurant is 75% take out but there are dining tables. The dine-in service is very slow because of the take out influx. The staff don't speak English well but seem to get the food order perfect every time. Be sure to try the chicken or beef burritos, guacamole and the homemade tortilla chips. You won't be disappointed . read more
