Rosarito Tacos & Tequilas was a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the Rib Eye Gratinado and the Steak Chimichurri con Papas. The Rib Eye Gratinado was flavorful and satisfying, with the melted cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and roasted potatoes all working really well together. The Steak Chimichurri con Papas was just as good, with a nicely cooked steak, crispy fries, and a homemade chimichurri sauce that brought everything together perfectly. Both dishes were packed with flavor and felt like standouts on the specials menu. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you want hearty, well-made food. read more

My wife and I decided to grab a bite to eat after finishing that weekly chore of laundry done. We have not had Mexican in sometime so that was our chosen option. Taking a look on Yelp, we found this place to be one of the highest rated in the area. We arrived and remarked on how lovely and clean the restaurant and bar area looked. We sat at the bar and we were greeted by our waitress/bartender. After reviewing the menu, we ordered iced tea and a side of guacamole to go with the complementary chips and salsa. For our main course, I ordered their house garden salad, adding blackened salmon rare while my wife asked for their chicken tacos. It seemed to take a little longer to get our meals. There were only two other tables taken during our visit. When our meals did arrive, they were well presented and delicious! If we were in this area for an extended time, we would probably visit again; however, we depart on Thursday. read more

Grubhub delivered the wrong order, well over $100 Manager says not his problem and he doesnt care, became a telephone toughguy. the elderly couple I was having food delivered for had to wait an additional hr so I could order from another restaurant. if a restaurant makes no attempt to rectify an issue with grubhub which they agree to use, that says a lot about their character. Full transparency after hearing the mgrs lack of resolve to correct or even empathize I did tell him FU. He then began physical threats from the safety of his phone, reminded him he has the address but he never showed up. read more

While the regular menu has great items like the guacamole with fried plantains and crabby enchiladas, we tried two specials-- the rib eye steak tacos, and the shrimp, octopus and lobster tortillas. The prices were fair, the food was delicious and the portions were plentiful. This is our favorite place in the Croton/ossining area! read more

We only stopped for a quick lunch on a lazy afternoon; the food was so good we ordered too much, and then ordered even more to take home for later. The blue building is bright and colorful, with well-made ramps for folks with walking disabilities. The inside seems as massive as a Tardis and as comfortable as your favorite sofa. The wonderful food adds to the win and the perfect hostess turned this simple lunch into the perfect quadrifecta.... The menu is more than ample yet stops well short of listing every single Mexican possibility as some restaurants do. It seems the owners have chosen to list only the things they make fresh and make well. Thanks you! What a joy. Great freshly made chips came with a mild red salsa. And a seriously hot, very hot sauce when I asked for it. I started with pozole verde, a personal fav, made here with hominy (huge corn kernels) in a rich chicken broth and seasoning, so good I barely missed the usual tomatillos. So good we bought more to take home... I had carnitas tacos, Alicia opted for fish (cod) tacos on flour tortillas, both accompanied by the usual rice/beans/guacamole sides. My pork was rich and flavorful, neither dry nor greasy. Alicia's cod was crispy and lush and plentiful. Every bite far better than usual and stunningly fresh, too. Price on menu doesn't match what they charge. When I brought up the price on menu doesn't match what I'm charged the server pointed out on the back of the menu it states "Menu prices subjects to change without notice" I want to know how the hell do you choose your meal and not know what it's going to cost until you receive your bill? This is not cool on so many levels In addition no prices on menu for drinks.. after making it known this isn't the way to do business the answer I got was I just work here... this must be a very normal response to the everyday complaint read more

Underwhelming. Services was good, decor is fine (standard bright colors). As a vegetarian I've become accustom to a small section of the menu set aside for non-meat selections. I've been a vegetarian long enough to remember when it was rare to find an area on the menu set aside for us but I have to admit that I was surprised to see a business that just opened not have a few items. We were there for lunch and even though there was only 2 other people there, the wait was longer than one would expect. Being it was a long wait I was also surprised to see how raw the veggies in my fajita were - as if they weren't on the grill very long. Also, no mushrooms on a veggie fajita left it a bit lacking. We also got some cheese enchiladas and they were OK. Would I come here again ? Maybe if friends wanted to go out and stay in this area. Their guacamole is very good but that's where it stops. Steak mole was very tough and the sauce had none of the subtleties of a mole. My wife ordered crabby enchiladas. She told the wait person 3xs that she must have mild food. Not only was it spicy, but when we opened the order the order ticket said the enchiladas should be "mild spicy". When we placed our order by phone, it's a good thing the person repeated back our order because the order taker left out my wife's selection. This was our third experience with Rosarito's, the first two we ate at the restaurant. Each time, something was wrong, but this was the last straw. It's a real shame, we would love to endorse this restaurant. It's so close to our home and we would want them to succeed. read more

Most people read a bad review (myself included) and decide "I'll make up my own mind." And that's great. Think for yourself. Just don't think for yourself right now, unless you want to end your day feeling supremely disappointed and simultaneously light in the wallet. Please believe me. I've never in my life had *bad* Mexican. I've had excellent, average and not-so-great. But bad is hard to do, even if you make crappy Ortega tacos at home. I can summarize our experience succinctly: half the dishes were 100% tasteless and the other half were straight table salt. There may have been ingredients other than salt in there, but you'll never know. It was awful. Just awful. Nobody in the kitchen here is taste testing anything. My wife and I agreed it was the worst Mexican we'd each had. Ever in our lives. She, who is the most positive person I know and always gives the benefit of the doubt said, and I quote: "Too bad they wasted all that time and money painting the building. They'll be out of business in a year." To end with a positive, our server was delightful. I hope she can find a position at Yuka's across the street in a year's time. read more

My daughter and I went for a late lunch (1:30pm) and it was a great experience. Service was excellent (wasn't crowded) as was the food. My Petron margarita with pink salt was perfect. We had nachos and the chorizo fries as apps, and then we split the flautas. Delicious chunky guac came with the nachos and flautas. Even the rice and beans on the side was great - yellow rice was fluffy and tasty. We asked for a hot sauce, and the waitress (also bartender that day) brought us this homemade green sauce from the kitchen - it was sooooo good. We went to see my friend play the other day here. The staff was friendly and busy. Food was tasty. My issue was simple things like getting salsa or hot sauce to too long. The wait staff is all wearing headset and communicating but when it came to someone going and bringing out hot sauce, or some more salsa it was longer than ten minutes with all the wait staff just running around. I joked that they were hoping I'd forget or maybe just eat the meal. Also my friend ordered quesadillas for her husband 15 minutes before they and took a twenty minute break. They wasted so much time and came back to her THREE TIMES ! To ask her if that is what she wanted. He had ten minutes to eat before they went back on. The food was great. Not overly salty which is sometimes a problem in Mexican restaurants. We had nachos, bean soup and a few other dishes and everything was perfectly seasoned. I had a beer but others had the cocktails and said they were great. It's a big place with lots of seating. It was a bit noisy with the band playing since we sat right in front of them but other parts of the restaurant were not so loud. I would come here again whenever I'm in the area. I just wish they'd get their act together on the little things. read more

My wife and I have dined at this restaurant about 8 times and always enjoy it. Outdoor seating in warmer weather is excellent. All the servers are great, but most frequently our waiter is Guillermo who is always attentive and has good suggestions from the menu. Portions are generous, so usually we have great leftovers the following day. The margaritas are excellent, and we really like the frozen version. Great selection of Mexican and other beers. My only little gripe is that the picante sauces are not hot--I was able to *drink* the habanero sauce! Next time I might bring my own El Yucateco. :^) read more

My husband and I had lunch here on a Thursday. There were a few other tables. Choices on the menu were traditional Mexican and well priced. Drinks and food came out promptly and were hot and well presented. For both of us to have an entree and cocktail, the bill was only $55. I would recommend this place and will go back. We were watching their restaurant "Coming Soon" sign with great anticipation, as there are few interesting options in this area. We've only had lunch there, thus far, but can tell you this much: they put a lot of effort into transforming the old BBQ place into a lovely Mexican restaurant. The tortilla soup, chicken mole enchiladas and carne asada tacos were all delicious, fresh, well prepared and presented. Tables around us had equally yummy looking plates. We look forward to returning soon for dinner and drinks. My only suggestion for them is to offer some hot sauces. read more
