horrible! they have one price listed on the Internet another price listed on their menus but when they ring it up it's a different price "oh it just changed today" is what I was told. it changed three different times just today?? food is overpriced, the burritos are small and the rice and beans are cold and unseasoned. honestly Taco Bell is going to blow you guys out of the water. good idea, horrible service. What an assuming little taco spot. Came around dinner time, lots of people ordering take out. Think they make each order fresh so the wait was a bit. Don't expect a quick turn around. We ordered the 4 mix and match for $14 and the carne asada burrito for $11. We also got the cream filled churros based on another helpers review. Despite the sign wait the food was fresh and hot. Of the 4 loved the al pastor, the fresh pineapple really added to the dish. The carne asada was flavorful without being overly salty. Once you add the green sauces it takes it up even more. The carnitas were also top notch. I wasn't as big of a fan of the chicken. We also got the burrito it was huge, really good and really big for a good price. Today I found myself walking around the waters edge in Nyack and by the time I was done I was starving for a good taco. After weighing my options I ended up at Taco Boys Mexican Grill. I ordered 4 Birria, 2 shrimp, 2 tilapia, 2 carnitas tacos and a large guacamole and chips to get me through the wait. The house made guac is superior along with the fresh chips! Great start. Then the tacos arrive. I went around the circle or samplings with various house made salsas and was literally blown away with how good everything was. Spot on! If you know me you know I can be fussy with Mexican and Pizza..... today now puts the local Mexican to rest. Taco Boys Mexican Grill is my go to in this area!! I overhear at 7:25 the cashier finally checking with the kitchen staff to see if they've even started half of my items. I called Taco Boys a few weeks ago and asked about a small catering order for a bachelorette party we were throwing at a local hotel. Although they do not typically do catering or have a catering menu, I eventually was put in touch with Eliseo who said he could put something together for me. I came into the restaurant to try a sampling of items before I placed my order. I ordered some items off of the menu, but then Eliseo got to the restaurant while I was there and ended up bringing me some other items to try so I could really get a taste of everything. Everything was so delicious and each bite was better than the next. I ended up placing a catering order for 15 people, and I ordered a tray each of carnitas (pork), carne asada (steak), and pollo asado (chicken). We got all the toppings that are on the crispy tacos and we got hard shells and soft flour tortillas. The salsas, chipotle mayo, and guacamole are fantastic. Eliseo put together a spread BEYOND anything I could have imagined. He came up to the hotel room to help us set up, and we were absolutely blown away by the service we received and the quality of the food. We got so much food. Everyone ate their fair share for dinner and could not stop raving about how amazing everything was. We went out for a night of drinking, and I'm a bit embarrassed to say it, but the food was even amazing cold after our night out! We were all very happy to have the leftovers. Two days later, and I am still getting text messages about how mind-blowing the tacos were. The girls that live far can't wait to come back into town, and the girls that live close want to go and eat there soon! I cannot say enough about Taco Boys and Eliseo. I had high hopes for this place because I am always on the hunt for food Mexican food. My husband had the pork tacos and they were only ok. Not as flavorful as other tacos we've had. I had the flautas and they are hands down some of the worst food I've ever had. Ever. Take some chicken breast, cook it until it's bone dry, shred it, put it in a tortilla with absolutely zero seasoning or sauce, fry it and serve it with unappetizing lettuce and tomatoes and a bland sauce. Just got some great takeout from Taco Boys! We had some awesome Chicken Nachos and there was enough to feed a family! (We over-ordered.) The Flautas were my favorite and came four to an order with Beans & Rice. We got a Chicken Taco and an Al Pastor Taco (both street tacos w/corn tortillas) that were pretty good. But the Cream Filled Churros were frickin' amazing!!! We also got Chips, Salsa & Guac (the guac was great), but we were stuffed before we remembered those. Highly recommend this place. This taqueria is our new favorite place for delicious tacos with friendly service. I love the relaxed, family atmosphere coupled with fresh, yummy food at a reasonable price. My friend loves the shrimp tacos, my husband loves the spicy pork street tacos, and my favorite are the fish tacos. We also dig the quesadillas and the guacamole. The guys here are awesome, it's rare for them to mess up an order. They do it with a smile and honestly I come here so much they started to know my order. I've been frequenting Taco Boys a couple of times a week recently and am generally quite impressed with the tastiness of the tacos. I especially enjoy the soft flour carne asada tacos. I haven't ventured into other areas of the menu but I think everything would be quite good. Next up will be a burrito. The prices are modest and fair and the place is reasonably clean. I do find the service, while friendly, to be a bit uneven. It doesn't seem especially well organized. Also, I was overcharged once and had it corrected. I think it was just an oversight. But a friend of mine who went there on my recommendation was also overcharged...so check your bill carefully. read more
