You wouldn't think much of this place by just driving by. You could actually pass it pretty quickly and not even realize it. But, I'm telling you, if you're looking for quick and delicious breakfast tacos, this is the spot! Their breakfast tacos are my favorite in Huntsville. I normally choose the potato, egg, cheese, & chorizo on flour. Their flour tortillas are home made and delicious! The green salsa has a bit of a kick but the red salsa definitely brings the heat. Their lemonade and pineapple juice drinks are also pretty tasty. The employees are always friendly and helpful. You can order in the restaurant at the window, call in your order, or place your order online. I normally place my order online and have always been able to pick my order up promptly. There isn't a ton of room inside of the restaurant but, there are a few tables for small groups. At the front of the restaurant, there are also swings to sit on. The swings are a prime spot to sit on nice days when they open up the windows. read more

I have been supporting this local business for years. It is a go-to for me and my family! I was soooooo happy when they joined DoorDash!!!! I am a mother and a teacher. I don't usually have time in the mornings to make myself breakfast as I am packing up my daughter and her breakfast. The first time I ate at El Patio, I had a breakfast taco and have been hooked ever since! They do not skimp on the ingredients in their tacos! Back on topic! I love to DoorDash their breakfast tacos! They always come hot and the mild salsa is literally fire!! It's amazing and always consistently exactly what I ordered!! Burrito was decent but service wasn't great. This was my first time here and I felt very rushed while ordering even though I was the only customer there. I didn't have time to look at the menu and as I was trying the guy kept asking what I wanted. I answered his question when I was able to quickly skim the menu and identify an item I wanted to add to my burrito. He would ask a question, to which I would answer & he would ask it again in a more firm manner. This exchange made me feel like I was a burden to the employee & I left feeling like I was an idiot. 10/7/23 Saturday 10am We ordered 8 breakfast tacos and they were hot and yummy. Red sauce is HOT, the green not so much. The pork pastor was delicious as was the barbacoa. All the other taco eaters said they enjoyed theirs as well. Service was friendly and efficient. As far as ambience, it's covered Al Fresco dining, and on that 65F degree morning it would have been nice. I wouldn't have attempted outdoor dining from June- September after 11am. Stopped by for lunch & had 3 beef fajita tacos on flour tortillas. The tacos were much bigger than I expected - I would have just gotten 2 had I known. The service was good & the food came out fast. Let's Get the numbers rolling. Food : 6.5 out of 10 I got a potato and egg tacos. They were okay until I found a piece of cooked hard plastic in my food that cut the roof of my mouth. Variety 6 out of 10 Only reason it gets a 6 is cause they don't have drinks like piña or anything else. Would I return? No probably not after this experience. read more

AWESOME food! my boyfriend had the Texan burrito and loved it! I had the XL chicken quesadilla and it was bomb! I love their red and green sauces :) GREAT people! the people who were running El Patio were such great kind people :) The only complaint I have is that I did have to wait about 10-15 min to get my food but about 10 people did come up and order around the same time as we did. My husband and I discovered this quaint little place during Spring Break. We have become regular breakfast customers and look forward to coming for lunch one day. We placed a very large order for breakfast tacos when we had 12 grandchildren here along with four adults. The tacos were delicious and they not only got every person's desired type of tacos correct, they placed each person's tacos in their own paper bag with their names on it. (I had handed her a list of what I had created to get order details). My husband and I were so impressed by this and delighted by this extra special detail. it's our first time here and the first thing i noticed was the NO MASKS. also the guy who helped us was very rude, so that didn't help. i ordered 1 pot,egg,and chz & a bean and chz. for starters i did not receive my bean and cheese (got ham i think). the potatoes were raw? also the flour tortillas were covered in butter/ oil? like way too much (i could not eat them). the red salsa lacked flavor. the green was better but very watery. i was very disappointed because i heard good things. i'm honestly confused, but we are in huntsville so i doubt there is good mexican food here. read more

Just visiting the area, stopped here to try it out. The patio decor is great. The owner, didn't get his name, he was great helping me choose. Fajita breakfast taco was superb, as was the chorizo breakfast taco. The horchata was delicious and they had a very interesting yet pleasing drink they called Mexican tea. This place is really hit or miss. I love it when it is good, but when it is bad.... oh my. I'm not sure how, but about half the time my breakfast taco is coated in grease inside and out. It's almost like they dipped the tortilla in a bowl of oil. I also ordered the chorizo once and if it weren't for the orange color to the eggs, I would have sworn they forgot to put chorizo in my breakfast taco. Portion sizes aren't the largest, but then again, neither are the prices. The tacos are overpriced. This place screams potential, but the owners seem unmotivated. The hours are a mystery as the place seems open on random days, and never after 2pm. It gets 3 stars for the overall quality of the food. An amazing, amazing place to get Mexican food. They offer the standard fare, tacos, quesadillas, and burritos, but the sheer quality and portion make it the best place to get lunch in Huntsville. Only complaint is that they often close after 2 or 3. read more
