Pork Hollenbeck Burritos
Jenny L.

I have been coming here for over 40 years! Wow! Can you believe that? I will have, on occasion, 80-100 Hollenbeck wet burritos ordered for meetings at my workplace and have them delivered to my office approximately 25 miles away. They arrive in time and delicious and I get lots of compliments. They're huge and full of flavor and the salsa is perfect. Don't forget the tortilla chips! Those offer a great crunch and so fresh too. All their other menu items ate great too but my go to will always be the wet burritos.

Absolutely amazing hidden gem of a restaurant. Food is spectacular and homemade. Got the dry asada burrito, soft taco, and homemade guac.

Little restaurant on the side of the road, very good and the staff are so sweet. The food was delicious and they have a good variety of everything. I got the red chilaquiles with carnitas and it was SPICYYYY a little too spicy for me but I could see other ppl loving it. The chips were also just a bit soggy, but still good. My family liked the michelada and the prices are good. Would come again with my family :) the steak picadillo was really tender and delish too

Green chilaquiles, beans, potatoes, carnitas (pork meat) and a fried egg on top. So delicious!

Good food and good customer service; Lots of parking. However they do not take Apple Pay. They take credit card but they charge you to use it. They seem to prefer cash.

The food here is terrible, don't get fooled by the name, the food tastes nothing like El Tepeyac Cafe in Boyle Heights. The meat and sauce smell like dog food ... i took 2 bites and tossed it in the trash. Beams smell foul cheese was old and the meat was bland. They have no business using the same name and same menu items as the Original Manual's. The Hollenbeck was awful.

Prices too high food not adequate couldn't offer me chicken in my taquitos meat looked burned salsa was watery &8.99 plus tax for two small taquitos

Cheese enchiladas with rice covered in meat sauce! The bomb!.

I love coming here! Small hidden restaurant that serves great Mexican food. I've been coming here for over 12 years. I usually get this: cheese enchiladas with Spanish rice covered in meat sauce and a coke. Tastes great and looking forward to my next time here

Located down the street from Costco in an area surrounded by industrial buildings, this tiny mom and pop spot has become our go-to for chilaquiles. Red or green, you can't go wrong. Service is always on point and they will refill chips and salsa to your heart's content. Over easy eggs mean no runny whites and tortilla chips still have a bite despite being immersed in the flavorful sauces. The sprinkling of cotija cheese adds a lovely salty bite, the crema has a cooling effect. The sides are just as satisfying. The diced potatoes are well cooked- soft with a good amount of crispy edges and the retried beans are creamy and delicious. Easy parking in the lot or nearby street parking.

They make the best breakfast plates, I just had a huevos rancheros today it was magnificent, great flavor

Horchata Ice Coffee

Great Food! Great Horchata Ice Coffee. I usually have the chilaquiles and my boy friend the red wet burrito and we both love it! The portions are good and the price is decent for the portion you get. Green salsa has good flavor. Outdoor eating available but we usually pick up to go.

Omg a true mom and pop place, hole in the wall....just 5 min away. I loved the name The name, Little Cowboy. It's in a small mini mall hidden by metal bars and next to a barber shop...but its here...got lucky at 3 pm on a Tuesday and slipped unto a free parking spot but I bet this place gets busy...Because it's gooood!! I ordered the #2 taquitos, but it came as the #1...no matter, i loved the flauntas,, they were huge, crunchy, and I had them with the fixings which was lettuce guacamole and crumbled queso...5/5. It was preceded by chips, they tasted fresh and crispy, nearly all were, except for that first one...but i used the chips to scoop up the awesome frijoles, the frijoles were da bomb 6/5, just traditional fijoles, nothing fancy...perfection. The Jamaica was refreshing and not too too sweet. Nothing was overly salty, and it was all reasonably priced. What's a hidden gem. Don't be put off by the exterior of the place...its good here. I'll be back to try everything... especially the chile relleno. I love it when I can support a mom and pop place. Especially when it's so yumm!! Oh and shoutout to Diane for the friendly accommodating service. She made the in-restaurant experience lovely and comfy for this single diner. Thanks Diane.

Respect to the beauty of the So Cal neighborhood Mexican restaurant…read more I'm in the area a lot, but usually for Chinese / Vietnamese food. This time, it was a little after rush hour and I had 25 minutes to kill before an event down the block. I also had a mean hunger. It was hot, the event was a performance in a space without AC, and the idea of being hungry and hot was sort of daunting. So Chonitos it was. I asked the host if the kitchen moves quickly, because I needed to be somwhere. He said 'no problem' and seated me. Now I need to acknowledge that my request could be interpreted as annoying. I mean, me being short on time is not the restaurant's issue. But Chonitos was open to the task at hand. The space has a dark sports bar vibe. Plenty of folks enjoying their Thursday evening, drinking, eating and watching the screens. My server was Saul. He had a drink in my hand in less than three minutes and took my order the moment I was ready. Saul was very cool about getting me fed quickly. The food came out in less than 8 minutes, a taco enchilada combo. Just what I needed, homemade for sure, and both satisfying and comforting. A little corn cake rounded out the experience. I wolfed it down, thanked Saul for being supportive, then paid the check, and arrived early at my next stop. Chonitos is dope. Recommended. Good food, unpretentious vibes, and a neighborhood energy that is hard to find these days. Thank you so much.

It was filled to the brim with ice. It wouldn't have been a problem but I wasn't sure how to get a refill... they came to pick up my plate but not refill my drink. ($5 drink btw) I like their selection of spanish music, music that is well known. Friendly staff I suppose.

Date of visit: May 10, 2026…read more Selections: Enchiladas de Mole Experience: We had called on Saturday, aka the day before Mother's Day, to see if we could make a reservation, but were told to show up early and we will be seated regardless if our whole party was fully there. We were going to be there a bit before 11:00AM originally on Sunday since their website said 11:00AM, but Yelp said 10:00AM was when they opened. So my husband called on Sunday to check and they did indeed opened at 10:00AM. When we got there, there were already three sets of groups seated and they had to rearrange some tables for us since our party was nine people, which only took a couple of minutes to arrange. We were served complimentary chips and salsa as well as water as we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. I had quickly chosen my dish cause I'm a sucker for mole and there were only two options that had it, so I ended up getting the enchiladas de mole. The servers were great and the food was as pretty good too. I ended up taking leftovers home since I had eaten too much chips and dip before my actual food came cause the server refilled our chips on our end of the table like four times. The mole was pretty good and I wish there was more of it and didn't really enjoy that there was veggies inside the enchiladas since I think I was expecting more chicken than veggies inside. Not a big fan of beans, but they were pretty good with the melted cheese on top and the rice was good too. I definitely loved the decor they had and the designs painted on the walls because they eee so pretty and provided good photo op backgrounds.

First time here and not impressed. Service was pretty good. Not great, but not that bad either…read more But the food? Not good. For the prices they are asking, wife & I expected some pretty good food. We were fooled. The food was below average. We've had tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, etc. at half the price of this place, and they tasted twice as good. The chicken here was a mix of white and dark meat. Which is fine. But how is the dark meat so dry? White meat also pretty dry. And was there any seasoning on the meat? Didn't taste like it. Enchilada sauce was very minimal in amount and flavor. Taco just ok. Drinks tasted fine, but overpriced and weak. All in all, if we are going to pay these prices, we expect very good food. This food was not worth coming back for, even if the price was less. I will say one thing, their beans are good.
