Haven't been back in 5 years since moving away. Was back in the area and stopped in. Ordered my usual cheese enchiladas. Nice to find that the presentation and flavors are still as delicious as they were before. They serve their chips with bottles of homemade salsa which is a great idea. You can apply I individually to each chip as you eat it, or douse all the chips at one! Definitely try the green salsa--it tastes like avocado and salsa! Also had the agua de melon and it was perfectly sweetened. I have to get back more often.

Came here once so far. We were happy with the meal and service. Wife felt like the green salsa on the enchiladas was very watery. It was still alright though. I had queso fundido. I love cheese so this was good. Will probably be back some day to try more menu items.

Incredibly friendly service, delicious, authentic Mexican food and great prices. Would come back here if ever in the area. I enjoyed the different salsas and chiclet too!

1). Steak n egg breakfast: 3 1/2 star Riced is very tasty. Steak is thin but flavorful. 2). Caldo/beef soup: 3-star It was more better in the past, yet Som how the taste is not as deep And they switched potato to Chayote, texture is weird. 3). Hot Chocolate: 3-star It's not sweet as what I requested, which is good thing, but the flavor is very limited. Server is very friendly and accommodate.

This place has the best and attentive service. The food is prepared and cooked by the husband, wife and kids. The ambiance is very chill, you can listen to their tunes or have a conversation without that overly excessive music other restaurants have. I recommend you try their menudo. It's well made, not greasy. Their avocado salsa is AMAZING! I always get tacos so I can slather it all over and eat it. The pozole is very good, their enchiladas with pollo picado, their breakfast options are delicious. If you're thirty, they have beer, coffee and sodas. But they also have beer lol. Stop by and enjoy. You won't get disappointed.

Service was atrocious. Three people working and only two parties seated. It took forever for us to get our orders placed and d when we got our food, they messed up. Food was so basic. Definitely not worth getting their pozole or flautas. There is no taste to the food. Even the chips were very stale and their salsa was very spicy. It was pretty dark inside and a little dirty and it looked gross because there were boxes stacked on top of each other against the walls.

Our beef soup w rice and tortillas it was delicious.

If you want fresh, homemade, delicious food, Las Ranas cafe is for you! We were in the area visiting family and of course I used my trusty Yelp to help find a local place to grab some good eats. Thanks to y'all we ended up at Las Ranas Cafe. Parking is not the best but we worked it out. We walked in and were seated instantly. From the outside the place looked small but once in, we found a nice table that seated four comfortably and was super clean. We were welcomed warmly and our order was taken immediately. We ordered pozole, taquitos, burritos, and fries. They served complimentary chips and salsas. The food arrived 10-15 minutes after we ordered. And it was served warmly by the server and I think the chef of the restaurant. All tasted delicious! It was the perfect meal on a cold day. We definitely got our Mexican food fix in. I would strongly recommend this place if you're in the area!

Delicious breakfast tacos, burritos and even pancakes and eggs! Nice clean restroom. Only thing to note is that it's between a liquor store and marijuana shop, which did make our kids feel a little uncomfortable. We will return, however!

Second time here, and it is still so very good! Came here a couple of months ago and loved their chile relleno. This time, I tried the chilaquiles and it was good. It's a little on the tangier side for me, but it's still delicious. My husband grabbed the wet burrito with lengua. Let me tell you, the lengua is cooked so well. It was soooo good! The super nacho was so loaded and delicious as well. Only thing on preference side, we'd like to have some more cheese on this dish. The asada was flavorful, but I still enjoyed the lengua more that we should have topped the dish with it instead. Overall, we would be back again. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family and know they'd enjoy it too. Side note, the parking is awkward and small. Please plan accordingly.

Chilequiles with asada... nom nom nom, very fresh salsas.

Everything was tasty and just the right amount of spicy. I had chilaquiles Verde level on the spice-o-meter! Staff is very sweet.

We were grabbing some drinks for a little picnic date at the park with my cousin and her GF. First off, this entire store is my FAVORITE aesthetic. Everything is just so pastel and cute inside. It just makes me happy being in here. There was also a pop-up vendor while we were here and he was handing out samples of mochi bites - we ended up buying some as snacks for our picnic. Super yummy and fluffy texture of the mochi bites. There's also so many drink options here, but I ended up going with a Guava Matcha Latte. The guava puree was the perfect sweetness and balanced well with the matcha. It mixed really well together and I'm so glad that more places have guava-flavored drinks on the menu. We ordered a few other drinks and I got to try a sip of each other's drinks. Everything was all so good, so I definitely want to come back and try more of their menu.

I want to start off by saying the earl grey matcha was underwhelming. I could barely taste the earl grey. The flavor was almost watered down and this was before the ice even began to melt. The iced mocha latte was probably the best drink we got. It had enough flavor to tell it was actually mocha. The drink that disappointed us the most was the guava refresher. It was 90% ice and 10% drink (please see photo attached). I understand that's how places work by putting a lot of ice but this was just overboard, it was too stingy. After 3 sips of the drink, my dad was almost done with the refresher! And the amount of ice in there was unmatched. What got me the most is that all 3 drink were not filled to the top. They were 90% filled. If you're gonna put so much ice in our cups, the least you can do is fill up the cup. I hope the workers improve on this and don't scam future customers with this kind of technique for their drinks.

The coffee was well-made - it wasn't burnt, overly bitter, or sour, so the extraction seemed solid. However, the flavor felt flat and watered down. It lacked the aroma, body, and rich roasted notes that make a cup memorable. Nothing really stood out, leaving it tasting more diluted than satisfying. Also, I don't think the barista could froth the coffee well. Instead of a nice velvety, dense froth, the froth was a bubbly foam (see photo). Food - 3/5. I visited around 9 a.m., but the pastry selection was surprisingly limited (see photo). The pastries also didn't taste particularly fresh; they had more of the texture and flavor you'd expect from pastries sitting out later in the day rather than freshly baked items you'd hope to find early in the morning. The café has a modern, hip vibe and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It's spacious, with plenty of seating, making it a pleasant place to spend some time. Overall, Smoking Tiger Coffee Lab is a fine neighborhood café if you're looking for a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a coffee. Unfortunately, neither the coffee nor the food left much of an impression. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing really stood out either. While the ambiance is probably its strongest point, the coffee is just average.

Ube French toast was pretty good. For me it was a little heavy. Flavor wise it reminded me of deep fried carnival desserts with a ube filling. Probably better to order this if you plan on sharing with a few people. My only complaint is the ube latte.
