We ordered 30 chickens, and everything came with salsa and tortillas. The chicken was really good -- well seasoned, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. You could tell it was made fresh and with care. The salsa paired perfectly with the chicken and added even more flavor. The tortillas were fresh and completed the whole setup. Our guests really enjoyed the food and kept going back for seconds. The combo comes with rice, beans, salsa and corn tortillas. The salsa is spicier than I thought it would be, so be warned. 3.75/5 Ceviche tostada. It came with a ton of tapatio, a few lemon slices and 2 tostadas each. 3.75/5 Shrimp taco. Good amount of shrimp, and the sauce was good. 4/5 Overall, I'd recommend. Yes! I've been away from L.A. for awhile, and never knew I'd miss a real taco so much. So when coming back to town and taking care of business in Wilmington, I remembered the demographic, and thought, "I've gotta get a taco now!" I Yelped a place near--with take-out service, and landed on El Pollo Lico. It's unassuming. You go into a regular street cafe--and there is a pool hall attached. The happy helpful gents at the front of the house run the cafe and the order window for the pool hall. Have you ever seen a donut shop where all the older folk hang out around donut holes? This is my impression of the pool hall. Lots of older gents playing pool, watching tv, and eating Mexican food. The cafe side was empty until I came in to order. I got a cheese quesadilla, rice and beans for my Mom (which was delicious!), and two birria tacos for myself. The birria was waaaaayyyy tender, but too griselly. Still, good stuff; worth coming back. This is the place that is a "Char-Broiled" chicken restaurant location that we ate it, next to the billiards, is so delicious. This location is 5 miles away from my house and 710 freeway. It was located one block away from Anaheim Street that when we got off the Metro Local Line 232 and two blocks away from the pawn shop. When I was 10 years old, my mom, aunt, and our two cousins were invited to that restaurant location. We decided to eat something to that location, I ordered 1/2 chicken that was grilled, some beans and rice to eat with tortillas that I made an own taco that was so good. My mom ordered some chicken tacos that the taste was somewhat bad to the flavor and said in spanish word "ay dios mio, este pollo esta muy rico" meaning to Oh my God, this chicken was very good taste. Come in! We buy some good char-broiled chicken with burritos, tacos, sandwiches, and many more to this place. The next door is attached to the billiards hall, connected to the public restrooms that are convenient to us. I went to the restroom break that the toilet has no toilet seat to it, I used urinals instead to urinate it. I washed my hands that was great service to us and the bathroom was smelled fragrant, but somewhere was vandalized. If we be back to that location, then we will buy some chicken that was perfectly grilled and cooked again. read more

My best guess is that the sauce wasn't mixed properly because I could still feel a burn on my fingers an hour later and the sauce was like pure acid with absolutely no flavor. Very good tasting chicken and loved the tripe tacos. First time trying them and will get them again. I'd give it more stars but I was a bit off by the cook cooking the steak with his hands and grabbing receipts with the hands and not washing. Didn't see him handle money which was good.
