We heard about this family owned restaurant from several people at a nearby aquarium so we had to give it try. The dispatch and carne asada burritos came highly recommended and both were satisfactory. The green sauce had a nice spice level but it also had an unpleasant filmy, pork fat overlay texture. I would skip the green sauce next time as the pork flavor overpowers the zesty seasoning of the carne asada burrito. Service is fast and efficient. read more

Was in the area looking for places to eat and came across this cafe on Yelp (so glad we did!) To start off, there's a parking lot just for the cafe which was nice and a beautiful mural behind their food truck. Upon walking in, we were greeted and asked if it was our first time there and it was. So the lady gave us a few samples of the meat options and explained what kinds of combinations we could order. SUCH WONDERFUL SERVICE!! As for the food, we decided on the asada burrito and jones breakfast burrito which were both so good! Especially with the refreshing green sauce and not too spicy red sauce. Been going to Isaac's my whole life but gotta be honest the last few times I've gotten a carne asada burrito it didn't taste the same. Ever since the medina family sold it the new people aren't making stuff the same. The meat tasted nasty like meat you get from a bad taco truck in the streets. The meat wasn't even marinated at all. That's the thing that made the carne asada at Isaac's the best. Just so sad. This new owner need to get it together. Prob buying cheap meat and cutting corners. Like wtf buy it and mess the food up. Before ordering I was given a plate with The Sample. It had a scoop of the Red and Green and Asada for the taste. So I ordered one of each. My husband who is a picky eater enjoyed the Asada tostada. Asada was cooked well and juicy not dry. Beans were a hit and the tostada was humongous . Tasteful and filling. My friend and I visited today for breakfast and we were checking out the menu. The owner, Isaac, came out from the kitchen and offered us a plate with all the three meats you can order from. The heart of this place I swear I can't say enough good things. Get the burrito with the pork or the tacos with the pork -- The PORK [chef's kiss] a-ma-zzzing. And the flavor is spot on! You can get an egg and cheese burrito in a hundred other places, seriously, eat the meat is my advice. The pork meat is so good, the green chili sauce and the red chili sauce are different but both are amazing in their own way. The red one has a wonderful spiciness from jalapenos and Japanese chilies. The green one is chilis from New Mexico, go half-half if you can't decide. And if you see Isaac -- is like being a part of his authentic family table. There are so many regulars already, but even as an occasional visitor, just makes my heart happy eating the food that's prepared with so much care and thought for how it will nourish someone's day. Isaac told us how the pork cuts are not frozen and he trims the fat by hand to make sure the flavor is there, but the finished dish is not greasy. Good food takes time! This man is one of the chefs that think, "ok, what tastes good, what's nourishing and good for you". And his recipes are all top notch because he hits all the steps and doesn't shortcut the ingredients. His food would not be as amazing if he skimped on the meat, you'd know right away, but he won't serve you anything that's subpar, that's how much he cares. Had went to church and decided to look for a place nearby.. found this on Yelp and give it a try. Walked in very bright and you can tell they appreciate the longshoremen that come in. They had walls with shipping container parts. The cashier was super friendly greeted as we walked in m. Finished ordering the Dispatch Hall Asada & Egg veggie burrito. After telling her it was our first time she gave us a sample of the asada & chili verde. After the sample ohh so good. We got our food and it didn't disappoint. This little whole in the wall has been around for a long time and unless you know someone, who knows somebody that knows this place is here, you're bound to miss it! It's literally tucked away off the main roads and is a secret neighborhood gem that is as unique in flavor as it is in location. I've always ordered a carne asada burrito and a green chile burrito, because it's not often that I'm in town and these two are a must if you're a fan of Isaac's Cafe. The carne asada has a flavor that is so hard to replicate (seriously, I've tried!) and the green chile (pork meat) is the spice that every one needs to put in their life! It's hot and OMG delicious!!! I only eat half of each burrito and save the rest for later, because they are a good size meal. The carne asada burrito is stuffed with meat, fresh avocado slices and pico de gallo. The green chile burrito is just the pork meat simmered in a spicy green chile sauce, which I think is the reason I've always loved this food. The burritos do not come packed with beans and rice like other places, but you do pay a pretty penny to get an all meat burrito. However, despite the higher than what you'd expect prices, the food is so worth it! If you've never been to Isaac's, I say, you should, now that you know somebody (me!) who knows this place is here! It's a family-run restaurant where you order at the counter and food is brought to your table. The place is always very clean and though small, has an ample amount of seating. There is plenty of street parking and also on-site parking available. I happened to stop in around 1:30, but if I remember correctly, this place can get very busy during the lunch hour. The three meats were green chile, red chile, and asada, and the flavor immediately gave me goose bumps; it was so good. Tender meats, flavorful meats, and the quality of meat take the taste buds to that foodie utopia we all desire. i order here often, but usually try not to do big orders because they always do the same thing. they don label anything i never get what i ordered and for me and my coworkers that aren't fond of biting into the food to see if its the right thing and then change with whom every it belonged to really doesn't work. i called to let them know and they hung up on me and then just left me on hold. very disappointed since i get food here all the time. my big order was placed through uber eats spoke to a man spoke spanish, he stated they were all labeled and that i should have called and asked what each burrito was, her was very rude and demeaning, he told me that obviously the green burrito was the biggest, and that i shouldnt have touched the food without calling them so they could tell me what burrito was what. aside of that he told me he was going to check the cameras to prove that they had labeled them because me having the burritos wasnt enough then hung up on me and didnt take my information. all the food was wrong and the al pastor was not good at all read more

Came to Wilmington for a funeral and unfortunately were given the wrong time so we had 2 hours to wait. Search for a place to get something to eat and found this place and what a gem. We are from Orange County so first thank you Yelp for the reviews. The food is so fresh. The carne asada burrito was so good and the meat tender. My daughter had the chorizo and eggs burrito and she kept saying this is so good. Food was fantastic and fresh. Service was awesome. So polite and friendly. I've been here many of times and since I work in the oil refinery this has been brought to feed the guys many of times. This is the first time in 2 years that I've been there and I will say the price has gone up by quite a bit. Before the burritos were 6.50 and now she charged me 10.00 for a regular carne asada burrito. Anyhow. I will say the burritos were bigger before but they do taste the same. I only bought 4 carne asada burritos but I know a lot of people like the Jones burritos. So maybe try it. read more
