I switch between the shrimp tacos al gobernador style and the chicken mole enchiladas but both are mouth watering delicious as per usual. My boyfriend tried the green chilaquiles with carne asada this time but he's usually a red sauce kinda guy so it was a pleasant surprise how delicious something new was for him but ultimately a creature of habit and he will probably stick to the red moving forward lol. read more

I am so glad I found this place! It's a small chain with fresh and tasty Mexican food and drinks. The happy hour is Monday-Friday and has some great eats and drinks. The portions are great and the food is made fresh to order. Even the chips were fresh and warm, and it didn't taste like they were sitting in a hot lamp all day. The fish tacos were super good, lightly battered, crispy and packed with flavor. I really liked the smokey chipotle sauce that came with the tacos, it was creamy, tangy and had a little kick. My wife got the asada wet burrito, and it was the size of my forearm! We also got the queso fundido that I forgot to snap a pic of, but it was the best queso I've had! Super cheesy, packed with chorizo and topped with sautéed onions and green peppers. It also came with a side of tortillas and a molcajete style salsa that was super good. Happy hour drinks were reasonably prices and went perfectly with our food. The staff were super friendly and the service was good and attentive. We will definitely be back! This use to be our go to spot but definitely the experience and food have gone down the last two times we went. Food is okay but for the old happy hour prices it was worth it. However, happy hour prices have gone up and the hh dishes are starting at $14. We went on a Monday night after work and were unaware that they weren't honoring the happy hour prices until after we received our drinks and were ready to order the food. The happy hour menu was still on the table and we should have been told they weren't doing happy hour when we were sat. The food was bland and service was okay. I ordered the the Tacos Dorados last night, combination plate, one of the worst meals I ever experienced, I had the chicken and beef tacos, completely bland, when they brought the plate out, it was barely warm, Mexican plates should be hot to the touch, should have said something, but didn't bother, salsa was completely watered down and had no kick at all, even the coke wasn't good! This is disappointing because I have been to Norwalk and Anaheim st locations and they were good every time. The beans were awful too. They use white cheese on the beans, yellow cheddar is much better, the beans were barely warm, they should be piping hot when brought to the table. I've been to the one on Anaheim long ago, but as a group outing with friends, we went to the newest one on Pine and 11th. For dinner, I had to Tacos Dorados with shredded beef soaked in a sauce of some kind. I made it a combo with beans, rice, and a bed of shredded lettuce. My girlfriend got the steak soft taco combination and enjoyed it. She was hoping to get an equal amount of rice and beans, but there were more beans. Both sides were really good and the chips they make fresh can take care of the excess beans. I truly enjoyed everything and cant wait to come back. So we stumbled to this place by accident. No regrets. Our servers were super nice and friendly. Then we asked if they could customize any dishes to our dietary needs, they were like yes of course. We chose tacos cuz well we love tacos. Their guacamole was delicious, different from mosts and wasn't too salty which I appreciated. The tacos, MUAH! Gosh I could eat more if I could, oh and the beans and rice... so flipping good. The ambiance def had a feeling of home which we both loved very much. Also kudos for having a really clean bathroom! I had to use self control to not get full on the chips and salsa My husband and I got the same thing A mole cheese enchilada and a crunchy shredded beef taco with rice and beans.. Came here for dinner after a conference, was not packed and got seated right away. It was a small restaurant and there was a small lot that we parked at that was like 3-5 minute walk away. The workers were friendly and patient. There were chips and salsa given as well. It was my first time trying the molcajete and it did not disappoint! I went here last night (Saturday night 8/2/25) with my girlfriend. The service was extremely horrible I was very surprised how bad the service was due to how many good reviews this place has. There were only 2 waitresses in the whole place and service was some of the slowest service I have had. I only got 1 refill of my water after having to ask first to for the refill. No one also came to check on me or my girlfriend and make sure everything was good. The restaurant needs to not be cheap and hire more waitresses so the service can be better.
