I work nearby, and I have been eating at this restaurant for 20 years about once per week. The food is great, and the staff has generally been very friendly. They serve quickly, and it's rare they make a mistake with my order. I am always able to find parking and a table. My only recommendation is to clean the tables more frequently. I wanted to come on here and voice my disappointment. Calling them after they forgot the tortillas to my large family meal and asking was a waste of time. I placed a $50 family meal order yesterday and once i got home which was roughly 15 minutes away we realized they forgot tortillas. I figured if I called they would comp a salad, or issue a at least $10 voucher for the big inconvenience. Part of the reason for picking up a family meal is the fact that no one wants to cook in this heat. We still ended up in the kitchen making our own tortillas. What the supervisor on the phone offered was extra tortillas on my next meal. I will no longer be visiting this location. This is one of my least favorite El Polo Loco's. I just remembered today why I rarely come here anymore, aside from no longer eating meat. I always ask for my chicken on the side in case someone else wants it. Today I forgot to do that. I was grossed out with the first glance of the pink and light colored meat. Barf!! It was often undercooked and rubbery when I ate meat and ordered here years ago. Their prices are also higher than other chains. Don't dare ask for extra salsas and dressing.
