I recently just came back to eat at doublz. It has been quite while since the last time I purchased food here. To my surprise, the food was cooked and tasted way better than before. Only concerned of mine, I made my purchased through the drive thru and I can honestly tell, the young girl working there was not happy. Apart from the rude service, I asked no tomato on my cheeseburger because of allergies and still got tomatoes. Nonetheless, food is good. I would recommend the restaurant. read more

Ordered a breakfast plate for my son -- he said it was just okay. I got an asada burrito with barely any meat, chewy as hell, beans that tasted straight-up sour, and rice with zero flavor and on Top of that One of the line cooks was all over this girl with red butterfly tattoos on her neck instead of working touching her face, blowing kisses, and giving her these insane looks like if she was a prey and he was the hunter. she had her back to customers most of the time (flirting back) very unprofessional and unethical. If you want a bang for your buck, do not dine here! Way over priced 2 meals came out to $41.29 and they forgot to add my onion rings. We saw three RATS and they were running across the tables. Spent almost $60 and food had no flavor. Ordered a pastrami special and the pastrami was a lil sus. . Don't taste like anything at all. Over $20 for a combo and there's no flavor? I could've went to Tams for a sandwich and had the pastrami busting out the bread piping hot with lots of flavor. However my pastrami here was small. What sad is the new owners are Asian descent? they don't keep their money here they send it overseas they don't care about us they nickel, every penny, they can they charge for everything. Idk who's idea it was to change the bun but man that was such a bad decision. The fries are amazing as always but the bun is a no go. The older sesame seeded bun that was not as think and bulky was the way to go. i'm actually not eating here until it comes back. Dry meat, minimal flavor bacon despite having a good amount (maybe cooked too long and lost flavor like the pile of burger meats they have sitting on the grill similar to LA hot dog carts), cheese that just somehow taste greasy with no flavor (bad choice of Swiss?), and toasted sourdough (honestly the only thing right). It tasted dry and greasy if that means anything. Not a good first meal of the day. Should've stuck with their regular double cheeseburger like their name says. I see a lot of people dining-in having their breakfast or Mexican plates and I think that's what this place does best possibly. I used to frequent this place all the time when I worked in the city of Paramount. One of my staples was the hot wings combo. You would get a lot of fries and about 10 to 12 meaty wings drenched in their wing sauce and a drink for about $11 plus tax. I stopped by last night about 9:00 p.m. the doors were locked so I had to go to the drive-thru. I ordered my usual hot wings combo and was told the price was $17 and change... I questioned the guy that was taking the order who was a little rude, but whatever. I was more shocked that my hot wing combo was over $17, but that wasn't it when I opened up the container talk about disappointment in the new portions with the higher prices! I get it, prices are going up everywhere, but this is a cheap old greasy burger place or so I thought! Came here to try out the chili cheese fries thinking they were going to be good. The fries they used had a weird flat shape, never seen them before haha. Anyways the taste was okay and not the greatest. So three stars is solely based on that dish which I don't recommend.
