6 people ordered. Every order was wrong when we received it. We have certain allergies and diabetes and this caused a health risk because our orders weren't taken properly. One order was sent back because it was totally wrong but then it took another hour to get the plate so we were all already done eating so we sent it back. This could have killed my kid btw, allergic to avocado and her food had it on it even tho we specifically asked for none at all. Most likely we won't be going back. Food looked good. I tried the barbacoa tacos, but.... They left a lot to be desired. Decent salsa, but there was just nothing to write about the food. It wasn't an "oh we must come here again and bring people". My husband and I ate here today. It was somewhat busy with the after church crowd. We wanted a margarita with our fajitas and asked to see the drink menu. The waitress told us there wasn't a menu - it was already pre-made we could get frozen or on the rocks. So we asked for on the rocks. I asked if it was top shelf like Patron she said she could add Patron. When she brought them they were jumbo glasses and tasted like sweet lemonade. Not margaritas. I asked if we could get a shot of Patron to add to them because they tasted like lemonade. She brought the little shots and we added it to our margarita and it tasted much better. When she brought our check we were charged a total $44.99 for 2 weak margaritas. $12.99 for my husband's she charged me $16.99 because I got top shelf, and then 2 shots of patron for $7.50 each. The shrimp and beef fajitas were good and the queso was good as well. Just don't waste your money on the margaritas. read more

Friendly, family-run Tex-Mex restaurant in downtown Clute. The food is good, although nothing particularly outstanding. Green sauce is good as is the queso and flautas. The cheese enchiladas are good as well. Standard, no frills sides. Just good old Tex-Mex. I think the margaritas must be made with wine, as they seemed to have little alcohol in them and had an "off" sweet flavor. Other than that, they have beer and a couple agua frescas. The owner and his family are actively involved in this restaurant -- even down to the waiting of tables. They're quite friendly and work to make sure your meal is right. This is the best Mexican restaurant in town. Their salsa is spicy, enchiladas flawless and their fajita meat is tender. I recommend getting the fajita meat instead of the ground beef. Just ask them to substitute it. Although if you order the Alex's plate and ask for it to be substituted, make sure they use the red sauce.
