There was a wide range of ages on a Friday night when we were there. My group had a range of 49-55 years old and we fit in comfortably. There were a few older but mostly younger than us. However, we did not feel out of place given the age mix. Kicks does have a strict dress code. It seems to be enforced because I did not see anyone dressed in a way that broke the dress code. Make sure you read their website on the dress code. The dress code includes both women and men. It also includes a ban on pocket knives of all kinds. There is live music Thurs-Sun. The sign on the door says the doors open at 8PM and entry is not allowed after 1:30AM. The band that was there when we were there played three sets. During their breaks, the dance floor was still packed while music from current country hits were piped through the speakers. There was a good mix of couples and line dancing. The floor can get really crowded but fun was still had by all. Security seemed to be present and aware at all times. I was pleasantly surprised with the lack of heavy smoke. The smoke seemed to be much heavier in the pool table area but I did not venture to the back to see that area. The dance portion of the club seemed to be relatively smoke-free. I did not see anyone smoking in the dance area. I'm not sure if it isn't allowed or if it was just coincidence on this night.
